Stay Alert

This supposed to be an alert app but I watch the news and the police release photo of person of interest and we not notified here I also see Ananda alert and it's not here this app need to be monitored

GPS connection and high frequency at gun shot level detection should be included in the upgrade. Why not spend the money with a top of the line developer who knows how to fuse hardware and software together. Nice idea mediocre execution but keep trying.

The app needs some work, was expecting alerts during the recent rain and received nothing. There are no updates of the law.

If this app is to give its full potential why isn't it offered as a free service on both networks just like how Facebook /messenger and I believe whatsapp are offered free on Digicel. Maybe it is I don't know. If we are really serious about fighting crime how is it going to work when there is no plan on my phone. Food for thought. Just my two cents worth. By the way, some simple documentation would be helpful.

I got the text notification weeks ago but ignored it. Decided to download not expecting much. I deliberately pressed panic not expecting anything to happen and was more than pleasantly surprised when I got a call back from Police control. So be careful. Whatever else is said that part works!!! I would love to see the alerts working so that we can feel that it is working for us. Fantastic start just hope we don't the abuse it and cause distress to the service!

So I installed it to my phone. Left the panic on to see what would happen. .the olive called me back. Feeling safer already...BUT THEY TOOK TOO LONG TO CALL BACK. IMPROVE THAT PLZ

I had a real emergency last night. I'm still way on the call from the police. It seems this app only work in day & not in the night. I when the old fashion way & it took the police about 30mins to arrived. I like the app but the panic button is crap for me. I had WiFi & my location was on.

I see a lot of potential in this app and great job thus far developers. I cant wait for more info to be added. I'm particularly interested in knowing my rights when stopped by the police both on foot and in a motor vehicle. I have varying experiences and would like to know what the standard procedure should be.

It has to be launched to access the panic mode. Which also require the phone being unlocked. In certain emergency time would not allow for that. It would be more helpful if the panic mode is available without the phone being unlocked. This would allow someone to use a phone available in an emergency especially if the owner of the phone is in distress. Similar to the emergency contact feature of some phones. The panic mode could also have settings that allows someone to distinguish a crime based emergency rather than a medical emergency. Persons in some medical emergency are capable of some movement but not necessarily speech if the police do call back. It is also not clear whether this app requires data service to work or has some agreement been reached with the telephone providers.

The app actually works. I used the panic button and received a call in 5 mins. Could be sooner but then again we have to consider that the police have a lot at hand. It's useful. Maybe the only app in the app store that live up to what they say it does is this app.

Excellent initiative....it actually works...I pressed the panic button after installing and within five minutes I got a call from police control....could have been a shorter time but its a start. Other features such as picture, text messaging, video and legal information are also very good. The app still needs work and I am sure with the feedbacks they will improve on it. Highly recommended.

This app. sucks. There was a burglary and I have been pressing the panic button all morning and no one called to check what was wrong. What's the real purpose of this stupid app.? I am definitely uninstalling this load of crap!!!

Like it I guess... Just that they don't give you a little quick over view as to what each icon do... Especially the PANIC BOTTOM... Thought it worked like the other icons.... They should have like a false alarm button.... Especially for first time uses like me... Or if you accidentally touched the button and you could make the user use a special code to cancel the alarm and another code to throw of the attacker (Incase he/she forces the user to turn it off) making them think you turned off the alarm but you are still alerting the police

This App is extremely helpful. I have assisted my wife with installing it, but am trying t help my friend, who is a Justice of the Peace and needs it, but it will not install. I have even created a Google Account for him. He has an Iphone model A1387 EMC 2430 FCC ID BCGE2430A Please assist me with how or tell me if the phone is non-compatible with the App. Many thanks Keith

The panic mode should have something written beside it to show that we only press when needed. Because each person who download the app will press not knowing that its the contact to the police control

I appreciate the effort JA is making to protect us. But I want to know if it's an app where the internet is need. Also the app need to be open to everyone such as the Apple users so far only Android users alone can download it.

Ok usually you install a new app there's a little intro that gives you the rundown on what certain things do where to find certain things, you know like instructions this app does none of that but still it does what it says it does so that's a plus

A must have App. Though few people PROBABLY already heard about the Stay Alert ⚠ App - Jamaica W. I. However, I think a proper tutorial demonstrating the setup and how it works is really needed on YouTube and the local television stations on the island.

I think its a really good app ,regardless of many people complaining . yes more work needs to be done but I'm actually quiet please that the ministry of justice took this initiative .

this app interface is worst app I have ever downloaded. just a image with a red button. no info on how to use the app. I would rank -1 . every other app has some instructions and text on the opening view.

Long to be opened i am a cadet that is haing ppl sigbed up and they are deterred because ut wont open. Plz try to fix the load time

Just as there is an emergency button to make a call when the screen is locked, there could be an alert button beside it but it's a good app. #thumbs up

How can u be asked to report crime when when file sharing space is limited needs to be rectified immediately

Garth McKenzie, I did the same and press the Panic button, luckily my info was not saved, so nothing happened... But I'm thinking, a call back may not be the way to go, suppose I'm in a situation where I can't TAKE a call, and in need of police assistant... I think the app should work with the GPS on our phones so it can pin point our located and whenever the panic button is press, police personnel should be despatch to the location immediately. But with our economy I don't think we are even equipped to handled this. So this app as pros and cons

This is long overdue My main problem is there's only a few handful of laws accessible at the moment, increase the amount of laws accessible on the app and the Ministry of National Security should try and workout some deal with the service providers so it would be free to use like Facebook, WhatsApp and other Social Media apps and then it would definitely be more a more effective app

I think this is a good app. However still needs improvement and more monitoring. I think it should be able to share the advisory that are loaded through social medias also for the anada lerts an update should be given if children who are missing are found.

Here is my 2 cent for this app to be useful. The government should make a deal with Digicel and flow so this app can be free else it won't be saving no one

This app should be able to work without data. WI-FI isn't always accessible and not everyone always have data like myself.

Pressed panic by mistake after downloading and 3 mins later polite police woman called me, and I apologised profusely. Excellent app. Panic button needs warning stating pressure only in emergency!

Pressed the panic button by error. Few mins later police operator called asking if everything is ok. Can use a little more work but overall it's doing the basic of what it's intended to do

More work needs to be done. It should not have been launched as yet. I can not see anything in law section. Alerts are being repeated. So far I am seeing only one Alert being repeated, Firearms seized.

Can't open, but think it will be a great app for Jamaican's. Need more work

I concede that this app is a "work in progress"...however it should be tested properly before launch! This kind of endeavor requires the confidence of the public... especially given our crime situation...along with the already "not so nice" image of the police force.

I download it and nothing happened. I can't even get to browse to see what it is really about. Its just a frozen page. Can someone please tell me where I went wrong?
