About Voices of Kyzylorda
The application allows to publish rural news, provides access to digital libraries and legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, delivers the voices of rural women, youth and children, directly on the respective decision-making level. It is available to use this application in Kazakh and Russian online and offline.
Voices of Kyzylorda improves access to the information and knowledge at the local level, discuss local needs and contributed to the sustainable development goals 3) health and well-being, 4) the goals education, 5) gender equality, 6) clean water and sanitation, 7) energy, 8) decent work, 10) reducing inequalities in rural areas, 11) sustainable human settlements, 12), responsible consumption and production, 13), climate change, 15) protection of terrestrial ecosystems, 16) peace, justice, and the effectiveness of institutions, 17) partnership.
This mobile application was created in the framework of Kyzylorda joint programme and developed by UNESCO Communication and Information Unit in cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of regional development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Akimat of Kyzylorda oblast and six organizations of the UN system – UNDP, UNICEF, UNESCO, UNFPA, WHO and UN Women to enhance well-being and quality of life in the Kyzylorda region through innovative approaches by delivering economic, social and environmental services to local population, particularly the most vulnerable parts of the population.
