E Numbers for Android
It claims that a lot of additives are safe, but in fact they are not. Misleading information
Decent app, but untrustworthy as data isn't correct
Great app to see if things are vegetarian
Very helpful. Works great
Incredibly efficient user interface, it only takes me 2 steps: Launch the app and type desired number and with auto suggest feature, poof, I see whether it is vegan. Always reliable and never glitchy. Thanks so much!
Know about this n be safe
No data access is required
As a vegetarian I find this useful to check products
As a strict vegetarian, with this app on my 'phone I can check for non-vegetarian additives in food as I shop.

Misleidend E951 safe ;)
Informative
Thx
not userfriendly
The app is really great and serves its purpose, as a vegan Im often finding myself in doubt, but no more. My only 'dislike' is the yellow color of the icons, its not always easy to take a quick look, as its somewhat hard to distinguish from the green, maybe an orange would do the job better. Either way,5 stars from here and a thank you for making our life easier
Would like a vs where i can add personal info, eg I know 627 is bad for my kids ( behaviour) yet it is shown as safe. Otherwise great.
Still rate some dangerous addictives as safe, such as 952 and 954. All other similar programs do far better job. Not recommended.
I'm only posting this review because it annoyed me that so many people are going on about MSG. The app is absolutely correct. All the people giving out have clearly bought into media claims without doing their own research. The Wikipedia page alone explains how claims against MSG are based on anecdotal evidence and any real studies have not shown MSG to be dangerous when consumed at normal levels.
I have found this handy, especially regarding food products for my children.
In some countries items that are flaged safe here are restricted: E233, E434, E474, E493, E494, E495, E524, E525, E527, E528, E576, E528, E576, E626, E628, E629, E630, E632, E633, E634, E635, E927b, E952, E954. If the author does not beleave the item is avoidable(as MSG for instance), then maybe he could allow for manual status change.
Lies about chemicals like msg or sweetners and says they are safe when its been proven they are not
Too difficult to use if you have to scroll through the whole list to find the additive you are checking out... would be better with a search by number
I miss information on whether the additive is natural or synthetic.
It looks like the author of this application believes that poison.(aspartame) is safe if you take it in small doses... :( If aspartame is classified as safe, then I don't know if you can trust the rest of the information in this application.
Thanks. Filter/sort by danger level would be a nice feature
Very well done! Useful in Food Industries as well for Consumer as quick guide.
When typing the e-numbers, please set the virtual keyboard automatically to numeric keypad.
Inaccurate. No proper descriptions. Many e numbers, like MSG, that are harmful to healh as per experience & research as well as other aps are listed as safe in this app.
No intrusive permissions
This shows the green leaf symbol for E910 which is incorrect, E910 is made from animal or human hair and/or chicken feathers, its definitely not vegetarian!
Great way to quickly check for food additives while cooking or shopping for groceries
E954 is banned in many countries and causes cancer but according to this app is green and ok ...
This app is really usefull, but I really wish it were more detailed.
the tool needs detailed description of the substances and its effects, not uninformative labels like "causes adhd".
Nice UI and really handy, but the info is not complete. For example, brominated vegetable oil (E443) isn't allowed in the EU. It would be handy to mention that in the app. Other then that, great app!

Great! Very usefull for jains and vegetarians very very nice
Unfortunatly the chart is inaccurate it lists polysorbate 80 and aspartame as an e suitable addictive for kids. Sadly very wrong. I'd use it as a guide only but not for solid proof.

It's a nice handy app. I often aviod E-Numbers as I prefer more healthy options. But I do have them occationally. I have noticed that they mention a new note now about vegetarians and vegans. Veganism is an ethical belief system that excludes the use of animals and products that come from animals. So to even mention that some Vegans eat honey on the app is not on at all. Veganism is not just a diet it's a way of life and honey and beeswax are animal products thus not vegan. Note misleading veganism.
