About RapidDial

Simple contact dialing and selection using a keyboard which tolerates near misses. Each press matches whatever keys are near by and narrows down the displayed list. It's designed for reliable left thumb dialing.

This full version supports contact photos, favorite contacts, and recently dialed contacts as well as configurable actions for all of the buttons.

If you're frustrated with how long it takes to select contacts, give this a try.

Free version is useful; paid version is worth it. In particular, I use the favorites+recent view and hide the keyboard by default. Lives on my dock!

The app works fantastically, and fixes one of my biggest gripes with the standard Android contacts/dialer apps. I can VERY QUICKLY type a part of a name, and with one press after the name, either call the person or compose a text message. Rapidly calling/texting a contact is one of the things that Blackberries do VERY well, and android notsomuch. This corrects that. One small suggestion I'd make, for a future upgrade - add a backspace button to the keyboard. Using the 'back' button is incongruous.
