This application requires root access. Your Android device has to be rooted for this application to work.
Please add Power Button to the ignore list of the task killer if you have one installed.
If the HUD doesn't appear or screen on feature doesn't work, open the app again to bring them back.
The application maps your Power Button for easy access on screen. You can set a widget or notification (HoneyComb and above only) for turning the screen off and opening the power menu. You can also access these functions from within the application.
The application has a quick setup to help you with how the application works.
It will try to automatically map your power button, failing which it'll show you the output of the devices present on your phone. Please choose the one which you think is by best the power button. This happens because not all devices have their power button mapped under the name "pwr_key", some of them like the HTC Wildfire use "keypad" and so on and so forth. So it is hard to manually map all possibilities. Do try out every one of the devices listed if you're not sure and test them all out, one of them will DEFINITELY work.
This application has been personally tested by the developer on the Nexus 4 running 4.4 and HTC Wildfire running 2.3.7

Cons first:
-Response in screen off is kind of delayed compared to v0.2. Both in status bar and in widget.
Pros:
-Easier set-up
-More friendly
-Faster access having widget and notifications
-Mapping is faster since SU is granted in the first place.
The slow response time is because there is no service running in the background that consumes battery. When you access the widget or notification, the app is called - it turns the screen off or opens the power menu - and then immediately terminates. Thus, there is almost 0 battery consumption.

My power button is broken and this replaces it well. Only issue is that the HUD moves down when activated as noted by an other reviewer. It's not a battery killer as many of the other apps that use sensors are. Update, I originally gave it 5 stars but noticed extremely annoying full screen pop up ads after installation. The ads have gone away since I uninstalled, but I was not definitively able to prove it was this app using various ad trackers. Lowered my star rating nevertheless.

The last update has been kind of annoying. I hit the screen button and like 5 or so seconds later the screen turns back on. It's every time it seems like. Despite the glitch I am a fan of this app because before this it always worked great. Thanks Dev I'm sure you'll get it right.

If replaces the power Button but every time it reboots, the screen does not come alive even after rotating the phone. May be the is some bug. Otherwise loved it. My power button does not work so installed this app. Cheers.

The wakeup function is waaay too particular on my Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 Android 4.4.2. I am rarely able to make it work and usually give up. Please loosen up the accelorometer parameters - like facing loosely down and then loosely facing up - as another option. I would also love this app more if it had a horizontal icon option. The icon could still hide on the side with half of one button sticking out. Thanks, guy! Rated 5 stars. Note: the icons tends to move down when tapped to reveal itself. Maybe an option to fix current location?

Es la tercera aplicación como ésta que descargo a mi nuevo galaxy s6 y no funciona sencillamente como lo hizo mi Lumia 1020 en Windows Phone. Pensé que Android era superior a WP pero se complica demasiado la vida con permisos y settings que no acabo de entender. Tan sólo quiero un botón de apagado, es todo !!!
