About Tophat Soaring (beta)
Tophat is a project to create a glide computer with a clear interface.
"Everything should be made as simple as possible, but no simpler."
We've also added support for US task rules and one of the ways we've simplified the interface is to allow the user to set their nationality -- this way, when creating tasks, only the options for their country are shown, making the process faster and easier. This includes TAT, AT and MAT tasks.
Don't forget that you can download a PC version of Top Hat from our website, and experiment with a fully functional glide computer. The PC version now supports downloading of waypoint, map and airspace files directly intoTop Hat. www.tophatsoaring.org

I just waned to tell you how grateful I am for your contribution to the paragliding community. I also wanted to ask if there is any possibly to add a different vario gauge beside the standard version . Something like LK8000 various gauge. The other thing is hopefully to find a map generator with higher quality maps.

Wellington NZ club have adopted TopHat as the club standard and trained for in our full cockpit simulator. A onfield tablet system is also linked back at the clubhouse with a big screen showing flight/booking status plus a google map showing the location of all the airborne gliders based on SPOT(ifhave), (@glidingwlgtn 4 piccy). If TOPHAT could pse open up another TRACKING choice so it allows input of Name, Userid, password, server, Users cld send direct to other systems and use phones 4track.Thx.

Perhaps the best interface of all Soaring Apps. Important flight info is very easy to access while flying.

I have previously been using SeeYouMobile on an Ipaq 4700. I have switched to a Dell Streak 5 android platform. Top Hat is a great, user friendly soaring app. Highly recommended.

The ability to use the same software on my phone for training and on my Kobo Mini as my dedicated flight computer makes this program great... I can create tasks and manage data transfers between the two using a usb stick Or by using a WiFi connection upload a flight... And the price is so right
