looks good but seems to be dated and not working with tomboy notes now - ive got two computers syncing that create directories with the notes on this it just makes a not in the root which the newer version of tomboy dont seem to pick up ?

I70%
by I####:

What is wrong with this sync function? Doesn't look compatible with Tomboy's directory structure...

F70%
by F####:

Very much improved since the last time I used it. More is needed, all the features of the same software for Linux.

M70%
by M####:

One of the only good lightweight Rich Text Editor

I have Tomboy notes in Debian synced between different machines with Dropbox. Tomdroid seemed the obvious way to add my phone. Copied all my notes to the SD card to start with, then found I could only import ONE FILE at a time. So I moved them to where Tomdroid wanted them to be. That worked. Sort of. No notebooks. Everything apparently random. I was going to try putting a link in the folder that Dropbox links with to the Tomdroid folder but without notebooks it's almost unusable. Pity. Next version?

R70%
by R####:

White white white, my poor eyes ;-).. would there be a dark theme around, please? I'm not even talking about encrypting notes or a widget for notes (the links are already a good start).. Apart from this, a full-featured app, look'n'feel, usuability, lighweight and sync are appreciated. BTW, Tomdroid cannot send text/file to Samsung Memo nor receive from it. Sharing both ways works w/ MPE Notes and this is good for MPE sync'ing (even if indirectly). Nota: a little bug w/ 0.7.5: if you delete all your notes, the main window will show "Please wait while the notes load...", which is obviously wrong since there is no load process running. After a restart, it shows the expected "There are no notes in Tomdroid's database".

by T####:

I have a lot of plain text notes, I can import 1-by-1 and they show up. Too many notes to do that though, can I batch import txt files?

Yay! Hugely useful! Less hype and glitz better service. Deserves every star.

(Update) Finally succeeded syncing with Tomboy on Linux Mint using Syncthing (and perhaps BitTorrent Sync - haven't tried but there is a guide for it).

This is a great App. I use an external sync utility to synchronize the data folders and so far it works like a charm.

K70%

I love this app. Needs work on sync.

R70%

Don't sync it online. The whole app crashed. I had to reinstall it. Lost my notes. As long as you keep it in ur sd card it works good

It's great to have a fully open-source alternative for note-taking apps like evernote, with syncing capability. It could use a few additions such as support for notebooks like on the desktop client but it's great to have this much already.

V70%
by V####:

Does what it says precisely .. must have if you have tomboy sitting in your PC .. looking forward for "Edit" button !

Y70%

Obviously a write function would be nice. I'm trying to sync via dropbox but I can't choose the sync folder. Other than that, it's pretty cool.

Y70%
by Y####:

Thanks for this! It's great to be able to sync my Ubuntu and Android lives. You can also add my name to the list of those looking forward to editing capabilities.

Y70%
by Y####:

Love it! Can see all my notes - with the same formatting as on my PC (Linux) & my previous cell phone (Nokia N900). Sync capability would make it a definite 5 stars!

Y70%
by Y####:

Only thing missing is the ability to edit.

Y70%
by Y####:

Would be perfect if I can edit. Keep up the good work!

Y70%
by Y####:

Love it, eager to the edit feature

I tried to get this app running, and it wouldnt work via Ubuntu at all, and I couldnt find out if it had support for HTC phones or not. Wouldnt accept the phone. Then tried to get it to work via Tomboy online. I eventually managed to register, only to be told, this is in Alpha phase only, and I would be eventually told about beta testing sometime in the future. What is going on?

Y70%
by Y####:

Great tool, but now without Ubuntu One is pretty useless to me. ¿Can you implement a syncronization over a Dropbox folder or something like that?

E70%
by E####:

I am very happy with this app. I would like to be able to edit (like everyone else) and I would like to be able to view the notes by notebook. Right now you can only view all the notes. I have a lot of notes on different stuff. I like to sort them by subject and not have to look through them all. But other then that It is a great tool to have on my phone.

C70%
by C####:

I'll keep an eye on it, but it's not much use to me until it can edit notes. Too bad because I just started using Tomboy again on all my computers when I discovered the Windows client. Edit: seems to be abandonware so I'm taking a couple of stars back.

A70%
by A####:

This application is really cool I can take all my notes from my computer to my phone with no wires needed! Only bad thing is that you can't edit or create notes I think but that's not a huge deal at least for me.

Y70%
by Y####:

Read only is not so bad but I can't seem to copy paste text out of the note.last but not least there is no option to send out note as email, SMS or Bluetooth.

Y70%
by Y####:

I'm ok with the fact that it's read only to reduce the complexity of parallel editing. I'm sure this would also reduce battery usage of constantly polling and pushing data changes.

L70%
by L####:

I do most of my notes on my PC but then like to be able to refer to them later on my PC. Its still Read-Only as of Apr-2012 but still is still good enough to keep track of my daily to-do list.
