Any(thing, VMG, CSV) with SMS

The app is easy to use and works very well to restore old text messages. Multiple input formats are available and users can create own formats which offers lot of flexibility. I faced some problem with my input format and contacted Lionel (App Developer). He is very helpful and worked to resolve the issue. He had to dig down and he found that it was the issue with the date format. I am really glad that Lionel helped me to make it work. Kudos to him for this excellent app and the efforts that he puts in to help the app users.

Worked perfectly. After trying many csv edits, I gave this a go & it just understood the original file as it stood. A solid list of csv formats it will just 'get' by the looks of things. Thanks!

Please help me recover my sms messages inside the .csv file i got from a recovery app (fonepaw). I want to put it back to my android phone but the software im using doesn't have that function. I was trying to upload the csv fole but an error kept on showing "No compatible format". Please help me

It's fabulous. Worked as expected. Imported msg from Asha 210, which I had exported in csv format using Nokia pc suite, to Moto G5 plus. ???? Edit: It didn't work for RedMi phones (note 4, 3S prime). Actually, none of the similar offline apps worked on RedMi phones. Old phone couldn't connect to internet, so couldn't use apps that need internet. Finally worked around by importing csv file to MotoG then exporting to RedMi through other apps that allow temp upload to servers.

Worked very well importing 7500 sms messages from my Windows 10 Lumia, having exported them to sd card using Transfer my Data.

I was able to transfer all my SMS from Windows to Android. Great app ???????? thnx

This app was a great help converting my old SMS messages, easy to use and processed a big file quickly without duplication.

I was glad to find this app as there was nothing else in the Play store which offered its functionality. Once you have the correct format for your data the app works very well. In my case there wasn't a preset import filter however after contacting the developer he was very quick to add it. Thanks for the fantastic support and the regular updates and improvements!

Dont work while importing frpm nokia asha to androis

Please Tell me .. I have a Csv file of text messages that I have imported from Nokia PC suite , how to convert this csv file to text messages and store it on my Android phone. I tried using the Nokia Csv set in your App but the app keeps crashing

Rocks, but note the CSV formatting can take some figuring. ALSO NOTE Excel adds lots of " so if editing in that strip out surplus " in Notepad before you try import. IMPORTANT: on my HTC M8s path that comes up when you browse to location in the app ISN'T the right one - comes up with something like /document/3738-3432:[directory]/file.csv Finds file correctly though if you overtype that with the full path you see in File Explorer,e.g. /storage/ext_sd/[directory]/[file.csv] . Get it right, does great job.

Despite double-checking the pattern match string and source files, and absence of any MMS messages, I too got the Java error. Uninstalled and used 'SMS Importer Lite' instead which worked perfectly (although did have to chop the CSV into chunks of 100 texts, but the Pro version can do it in one go if required).

Spent several hours but no success. Then took a chance with an old app (no longer available on GPlay) and with a few and easy settings all old sms from Nokia was successfully imported.

Needed to migrate sms from my partner's old Nokia E5-00. After much reading of the other reviews and having many failed attempts this is what worked for me in the end - (1) Instead of using the Ovi suite I downloaded the old Nokia PC suite 7.1.60.0 and exported the separate inbox and sent sms's as csv files. Opened both files in notepad and copied and pasted the sent sms to the inbox sms to compile one file - save it on desktop. (2) DL this app and change the conversion set for Nokia csv inbox and sent - replace all the semicolons to commas - yes that's all - (other reviews said the OI Manager is also required - I downloaded it to the phone but not sure if it played any part in the whole thing. Another reviewer said he had also had to add [r] - I tried this but found in the end that it wasn't required). (3) I removed any MMS in the list as reviewers were saying this could also cause an issue. (4) Hit start conversion - started converting at a much slower rate than all the times it had failed. 'Completed successfully' - that's what it said when finished - 1115 transferred from csv to Galaxy S3. Great app once you fathom out EXACTLY what's required!

This will keep all returns/newlines/carriage returns in your messages. I Used ovi suite (3.7.12) to export all messages as csv. You'll need to install Ovi suite, Notepad++, Android Anything2sms (including its OI file manager). Using Notepadd++ 1) Select view, show symbol, all characters 2) ctrl H, and select option Regular expression You Must enter exactly whats written below | Find | Replace | then select Replace All a) |r|empty| b) |"sms",|sms,| c) |sms,"READ,RECEIVED"|sms,deliver,| d) |sms,"SENT,READ",|sms,submit,| e) |sms,"RECEIVED",|sms,deliver,| f) |,""|@@@| g) |""|'| h) |@@@|,""| i) |sms,submit,"[^"]*"|sms,submit,""| 3) Save file and copy to Android device and using Angy2sms Nokia CSV format to import messages. Notes: I prefer to use Notepadd++ as you can see all the characters and each message is displayed on a new line. The replace function does the following in order to convert to Nokia CSV fprmat for . (a) Remove CR(r) leaving just LF (n);(b,c,d,e)alters format to suit Anyg2sms; (f,g,h)replace double quotes in message body with apostrophie; removes uneeded number from sms submit. Gary.
