Browse your Facebook and Twitter feed on your homescreen, in an infinite scrolling widget!
Porch gives you buttery smooth scrolling through hundreds of feed items in your Twitter and Facebook news stream. Right on your homescreen or lock screen, without needing to open a dedicated app. You can also post a status update in one click from the widget, and add a photo & location.
This app is 100% FREE - there are no ads, no tracking and no information is sent to ANY third party. Your login is secure, authentication is done directly to Twitter/ Facebook, so this app does *not* ask you for any passwords.

Why did I build Porch? Because all of the other social feed widgets suck. They either freeze, are bloated with useless 'features' or you have to pay to get both Twitter and Facebook in a single widget.
This widget is highly optimized for battery life and low memory consumption. You won't see the cache blow up or your battery life die because of this widget. No ANRs, I promise! It is optimized for Nova Launcher but will work fine with all of the popular launchers - Trebuchet, LauncherPro, Nova, ADW Launcher, HTC Sense etc.
Another Twitter feature lacking in most widgets:
Twitter posts show the "real" location of links (not the t.co URLs) and add hyperlinks for @mentions and #hashtags when you view post details.
This app is still in beta, so improvements are probably coming!
Future improvements MAY include:
☆ Improved layouts for tablets/ landscape orientation
☆ Other social feeds like Tumblr or Instagram

Lovely app but images aren't loading on automatic refresh intervals. It takes some time. Image previews are the best part of this app so please do something to make sure that images get loaded a bit fast. If this works I would give full ratings for this app. ✌

As an artist, for the longest time I've had to use TweetCaster to have even glimpses of images in my feed-widget, but not anymore (their app is okay, but also all over the place, and lacking some pretty basic functions)! Found the best alternative in here. It allows me to use the official client when needed, while enjoying the best twitter widget for image-lovers on the market. Finally! And it's free! I am actually mildly outraged by it's not being much, much more popular. Needs some serious buzz. Developers, please ditch the Facebook option, then fix the summary/title of the play-market page (hint: use words 'Twitter', 'widget' and 'photos/images' in close proximity to each other without punctuation between them), add an option to show cut-outs of the images in the feed in addition to "full-sized images"/"non at all" (like in TweetCaster widget) - and keep up the good work, while enjoying growing numbers of downloads and good rep. Future users - don't bother with Facebook here. Or anywhere, really. Anyone who'd been using internet last year should be aware by now that FB had effectively closed its API, preventing most third-party developers from using timeline in their apps. Gee.

It's the best twitter widget I have tried has big full images it great. I get a force close while trying to add Facebook but not a big deal I have another widget for Facebook. My only request is to Please add Tumblr to show our dashboard with images there is no good Tumblr widget Apps I have searched and searched Please add it. I will be keeping you App for twitter regardless thanks for this awesome App and good luck with development. Tumblr please.

A really good replacement for the old FriendStream. Ever since the last update facebook will not update and causes Porch to crash. Any Ideas.
