Haven't listened for a long while. Opened and crashed with in minuted. Library only goes to Dec 2014. When refresh and crashes. Any help out there. Thanks

Samsung S3 and Nexus 10....App crashes on both after EVERY restart. Once you get it playing.... You MIGHT be able to get through a few stories before it crashes AGAIN. Last update as of Oct 2013 shows you how much they care about updating and improving it.

Who doesn't love The Moth? Who doesn't HATE the app? Volume jumps from story top story. Screen and player shows one story while moving to the next. Impossible to find where you are on the main list. Is there any way to have stories you've heard move to an archive or trash folder?

Love the moth and stories but the app is the best out there when it comes to crashing. It crashes when I'm not using and does not go 5 minutes without giving me the finger... Would be good to hear from the Development team as to when a patch is expected. If no patch is expected please let me know so I can clear my space. Really hope it gets fixed.

I love The Moth! I never pay for apps. This is the first one I payed for because I thought it would be worth it. Please fix this app! It stops abruptly and I get a message 15 times a day saying that it stopped abuptly.

I love the program, but the app crashes (without exaggeration) at least twenty times a day and 95% of the time I am not using it. There is no reason it should be running when it does crash. I really hope they fix it soon. It actually crashed thrice whilst I was writing this review.

I bought the app and I wish I read the reviews first. This goes to show what absolutely anyone is willing to rip people off to make a quick buck as a lot of these same issues date back to 2013 and haven't been fixed. I'm willing to start a class action lawsuit if anyone else is interested. I don't care how small the amount. They must pay for doing this to us.

If you love the suspense of not knowing how a story ends then this app is for you. You'll get a few minutes into a story and then The Moth goes leg-up and dies. And once you're out of the app there's no returning to where you left off. You have to try and find your way back. I absolutely love the show but this app makes me want to slam my head against a wall.

Not worth the $$$! Constantly crashes, bumps me out of stories and then is impossible to pick up where I was bumped. Pretty disappointed with app. Will certainly not recommend this to others. If bugs are fixed will gladly change my review to 5 stars.

The rating is not because I don'tllove The Moth, but because the app will fritz out for no reason and send me an error message that it's stopped working when I am not even using it. And it will do it repeatedly. Please Fix It.

I love the moth podcast, but don't like the app. It stops playing randomly and I have to restart it only to have it go a little further and quit again. I finally gave up. Too bad

This is my favorite podcast but the app doesn't work. It crashes every time I try to refresh the podcast list. It continues to pop up with messages saying it has crashed even after I close the app. I had to Uninstall from my phone because of this. I am very sad. I paid money for this app and it's the best podcast. Please fix.

No joke, I won't even have the app running and it'll crash. If it weren't for the random "the moth app stopped working" notification popping up on my screen every few hours I'd forget I even have it.

This app doesnt deserve to be sold in the state its in. It feels rushed and incomplete. Where is the search functionality? Why does it crash every 30 seconds?

For a while it would crash occasionally while running. Now I get random error messages multiple times daily that the app has crashed--even when I don't have the app open or running! This app definitely needs some fixes. When it works, though, it works just fine.

I love the Moth! I'm a firm supporter, go to live events and would love to be able to listen to a full story. But it's constant crashing keeps me from staying up to date. Would love some improvements please.

I love the North, so I was overexcited to buy this app, but I've found it lacking and buggy. I get pop-up notices telling me it's crashed even when it's not running (even in the background). It's startup time is agonizingly slow and twitchy. I feel it can be a wonderful app with some more under the hood tweaking. Keep at it, fellas. Until then, I'll just keep tuning in through Pocket Casts.

Amazing stories. I listen to the podcasts constantly, but very glitchy. Crashes on every second or third start up. I would give the podcast 5 stars, but the app is terrible.

I wish this app would stop crashing, indicate which episodes have been listened to already and make more stories available. However - I LOVE The Moth!!

This app is literally the worst app I have ever downloaded though! It constantly crashes, and my phone is always asking me to uninstall the app because it makes my whole phone run slowly. THERE ARE ALOT OF COMMENTS LIKE MINE! PLEASE DO SOMETHING. It is frustrating because this is a paid for application. Please fix the bugs so people can enjoy this amazing program!!

The stories are fascinating, entertaining, unexpected and often short enough to listen to on a drive to work. The app streams well without interruption on my Galaxy Note. If you are a fan of This American Life, you will likely enjoy The Moth.

The App is almost never working of late. I loved using it before. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and still no luck. Please fix the issues, I love the show, but can't listen when you're on in Pittsburgh.

Try to refresh playlist and it crashes. No way to mark episodes as listened to.

I have to laugh at these super negative reviews. Are you using a potato phone or what? The app works perfectly for me, every single time. I listen while I work in my shop and I have never had a shutdown or any bugs whatsoever. I use a nexus 5, stay on top of android updates, and listen constantly. New users just take these reviews with a grain of salt. There is nothing like the moth!

Love The Moth but I'm really disappointed by this app. I had it all set up for a road trip thinking it would just keep playing which it did, but it would skip to the next story a few minutes before the end. Really disappointing to get involved in a story only to have it cut short.

Sometimes decides your lock screen wallpaper is a moth, other times randomly stops. Great stories though.

As others have said, this is VERY buggy. I never know when I'm going to be suddenly kicked out of a story. Then it goes back to the beginning and I have to use the arrow to jump forward through programs and try to find where I was. Then I may get kicked out again! I have another podcast app called Radical Personal Finance that works perfectly, so how is this so hard to do? It's easy to navigate and control, reliable, and when I start, it asks if I want to pick up where I left off. So sensible!! (Moto G)

I was hesitant to buy the app at first because all the horrible reviews, but then decided to just do it. Losing a buck isnt gonna hurt me. So ive had the app for a lil over a week now and it only crashed once. I listen to the stories religiously and its been great. Btw I have a galaxy 5.

I'm a huge fan of the moth and was really excited to see that they have an app. When you're streaming, it can lock up your phone. Playing downloaded shows doesn't work unless you're connected to the internet, really? What's the point then? Was really looking forward to listening to downloads while flying and it just doesn't work. You'll probably need to re-boot your phone after using the app, I do. Love the moth, hate the app

Got this app when the Moth made archived shows unavailable to other podcast apps. Very willing to pay for the great content, except the app is really basic AND DOESN'T WORK WELL. I'm using an Android phone (4.4.4), and it crashes often and acts very erratically. It won't play full radio hour shows unless mobile data is enabled, even when I've downloaded them in advance. Yesterday I found that by playing a couple shows (I'd already downloaded) while driving, I used up 20% of my monthly data allowance. Unacceptable! When I turn off mobile data, it just won't play the longer shows, even though they show up on the downloaded list. Love The Moth! Terrible app, though.

It crashes often and is barely usable. It looses the current position when someone calls, it's hard to see which episodes you've heard, downloading episodes demands millimeter precision (otherwise you'll play the episode instead), starting episodes (downloaded or not) takes several seconds. Also, the thing that made me take the effort to actually write this review. Downloaded stories can't be played offline. The stories is great though.

Crashes on opening. Crashes refreshing. It's bad on ios too but unbearable on android.

there's no way to mark a story as played so unless you can remember which stories you've heard, finding a new one to listen to is difficult at best. the app itself is buggy as well. I was happy to pay a dollar to hear stories whenever I liked, but this app is all but useless. fix the app and ui and I'll happily change this to five stars. meanwhile it's TAL and Selected Shorts for me.

Great stories, of course. My complaint is with the app itself. It will stop mid story and skip to another without refreshing the screen. I never really know what I'm listening to nor can I find what I was listening to. Have Un and re installed several times. Does not help. (Samsung Galaxy S4)

We are all big enough for this app to be fixed and updated! However there is a complete lack of response to these requests. Since my last posting this continues to be a problem. Keeps crashing on razor maxx

I LOVE the radio show, and it seems like many others do, too - so I just cannot fathom WHY they think it's OK to charge money for what is THE WORST app I have ever used. If you can find ANY OTHER WAY to hear the show, I suggest not touching this app with a ten-foot pole.

Love the stories, hate the app. Please fix this! Crashes every time I listen, restarts where it wants to, can't keep track of what I have listened to. So frustrating!

I love the moth but the app needs serious work. This is the only app I have ever paid for and it crashes upon opening since I switched to my Sony Xperia 3. Please fix, I need my fix.

There are so many things wrong with this app. It'll crash all the time. It'll use your data streaming even when you've downloaded the podcast. It'll keep restarting the podcast or starting way earlier than when you were last listening to it. Great listening though...

I love the moth and its content, but the app just does not work. Its form to the point where I can't even open the app for more then a few seconds before it crashes. Sometimes I don't even have to open it to get a crash notification. I hope they repair it, but for now I need the space in my phone more then I need an app that doesn't work
