Standalone Calendar for Android
Some people do not have the open source calendar from AOSP (Android Open Source Project) and are forced to use either the proprietary Google Calendar from Google Play or the shipped crippled calendar from e.g. Samsung.
This standalone calendar was build from the Android 4.3 source tree.

Since upgrading to Android M on a few devices the widget gets stuck on the date you added it to the screen. It's a pity since it was a nice free/libre open source calendar.
google kinda messed up their calendar app in my opinion, sure this isn't material but at least it doesn't lag. thank you, devs, for offering this.
Could you make it totally standalone? Basically a To Do/Reminder app that requires absolutely the bare minimum of permissions. Please?
It's not stand alone. You can't make an entry without having an account somewhere. Misleading title & description. I don't want my calendar in a cloud.
Amazing and open source! :)
This is a free/open source calendar application from the Android Open Source Project.
this syncs and runs hand in hand with an exchange calendar. a true independent calendar would not sync with anything.
It syncs with my Google calendar. It shouldn't need an email. At least let me choose which email I want it to use. Uninstalling.
Works perfectly.
Need to remove account and email permissions.make it a true standalone calender.I hope it gets improved.
Only if more app's were built on this principal
After download, tried to add new event, froze, stopped working. Deleted.

It's nice that there's an open-source calendar but it's too bad it's no longer developed! It sure needs some interface improvements! :/
