Offline Calendar for Android
Clearly there are still bugs. For me, it creates calendars, but no way to display them, only knows to display the default "clouded" calendar. Someone said this app does nothing...Amen.
Very necessary. I really hate this damned cloud trend.
Have a shared and private calendar! How to use: 1. Open app, press "+"; 2. give name & color; 3. Open Google calendar and create event. Near the top is your email address or account name, click it; 4. Choose offline calendar and finish adding the event.
I like the fact that I can create my local calendar. It will be good to have the ability to move it to the SD card. Good job.
Fixes Google's thirst for your private details. Kick ass.
Basic but does what it needs to do!
Allows you to easily add several offline calendars to the standard calendar app, keeping your private data private. Does exactly what I want and nothing else.
Everything you need to give AOSP a fully functional calendar. An essential app.
No sync, no lacation tags. No google nose. Vantastic!
Sorry, don't know how to set read/write
Dose not actually let you view the calendar just events you have made.
I get paid every 4 weeks - please add a repeat event for every 4 weeks
Not sure what this app is meant to do but it doesn't appear to do anything !!!
Excellent, love it.
If you want to add nonstandard event types (Doctor's appointments, Pay Days, Weddings, etc) to your google calendar and identify them with a distinctive colour even when you're offline, this is the app for you.
Have been using it with the Google calendar app for week over a year, no problems.
After download it would not open just crashes.
now I can create plenty calendars for different uses all show up under one UI without tied to the google email account, the old calendar becomes categorised diary, all color coded, great!
I just wanted my calender to be stored on my phone and backed up there. This app is perfect for setting up the calendar and their other calendar app works great to export the Google calendar to a local file and then import it into the locally stored one. Thanks guys!
This is exactly the thing I needed! Suprised it's not a part of android by default. Thank you for this vital app!
IT SAYS, "NO OFFLiNE CALENDARS AVAilabLe." What is this ??!!..i thought i wud see a typicaL calendar after installing, dat looked like those u hang on d wall..so nevr mind..bye :)
Keeps going back to setup. Doesn't separate calendars. Not intuitive. Crashes repeatedly. JUNK
After download it would not open just crashes.
Could not do without this. I don't want to have my calendar info synced to anywhere. Absolutely perfect when used in conjunction with Calendar Widget by +1Labs and Google Calendar. EDIT▶Dislike material design changes, so I'm staying with version 1.5
It's really stupid that the AOSP Calendar makes you sync with an Account inorder to use it. This app is a so important if you want to use the calendar offline.
..if it would have ,,Only this event,, delete option. As if you create an event which repeats lets say every week, in case you want to delete just past event this calendar does not let you do so. It will let you delete ,,all events,, or ,,all future events,,. Apart from that brilliant app. Do not worry about the above problem if you do not mind keeping past events in your calendar.
I can't understand why the dev wouldn't have added something so obvious as a way to backup and restore calendar events to this point. It's great that your calendar is offline but I've never met anyone who hasn't had to do a factory reset and/or bought a new phone. So, as is, you lose all your offline calendar events. Waste of time unless you have root, which most people don't or in my case, can't.
Is this for iPhone only? I can create a calendar and choose a color but nothing else. Promise I pushed every button possible
Thank u very much U r a genius
Provides functionality which should be default
I would just kill for the standard apps like calendar, contacts, dialler, gallery and others that had standalone databases that only shared info with the share button. (Similar to offline organiser which has not seen contained development) This is the next best thing
If you want to add nonstandard event types (Doctor's appointments, Pay Days, Weddings, etc) to your google calendar and identify them with a distinctive colour even when you're offline, this is the app for you.
Nice app. It meets my immediate need for a personal calendar residing only on my device. I have not figured out how to view the entire month; when I am able to do so then it will be perfect. If anyone has figured this out please post the solution. Thank you

Good app for creating cal databases

Just what I was looking for. A calendar at least as good as the one on my very old Nokia but which did not insist on synching. All I tried were far worse than Nokia. But this gives me a full feature calendar with no sync required. Clever hack. Google shouldn't have needed you to fix the flaws in their calendar.
