TextJs - SMS From Your Browser for Android
Didn't work on LG G2 (android 5.0.2), couldn't send SMS. Otherwise nice and simple to handle SMS on a local router.
If it works, then it is perfect for what I wanted. BUT, I sent a txt from my PC and it did not appear anywhere. I am not sure it sent. SoI sent another from the phone, and that did appear in the browser. I am not sure if anything sent to0 the phone from the PC. and if it didn't, well... will update the rating if I work this out..
When this thing worked, it was wonderful! But it seems when bugs appear it take many months or even up to a year before something finally gets fixed. Hasn't been working since December because of "connection error" I don't seem to be alone. If this thing goes back to working correctly and stays that way, and some type of login is added to it so nobody on my network can spy on my text messages then I'll give this a 5 star rating... But in its current state, it's completely non-functional. 1 star.
It worked for about 10 seconds, and then it just gave "connection error" and hasn't worked since. Is it not compatible with the latest version of Lollipop?
PC just says 'Connection error'
I was previously using mighty text app but this takes away the middle-man and is nice & simple without all the extra garbage. Very functional. No bloat. Love it. Would it be possible to change port numbers to one of my own choice? Maybe in a future release? +1 on the suggestion to have it as a self contained app.
Never worked. It would pull up my contacts, so I know it was accessing my accounts but no messages would ever send. Uninstalled after two days of trying to troubleshoot.
I could not select Groups from my contacts. selecting individual contact takes time. It is extremely good, with the limited usage. Also, cool....
The app seems to simply serve a single web page that calls home for its javascript. So pointless if you have no network connection. Why isn't it just self-contained? It's not difficult to do...
Although it was working fine for months, now it started the following error ****TextJs requires Javascript to be enabled in your browser. **** Although javascript is enabled in my browser :( ....
Love the app, just wish we could flip the messages so they're most recent at the bottom, like on most phones
This is surprisingly good! Everything works like it's supposed to. Now add desktop notifications :-)
Too many force close
Clean interface. Works perfectly. Best app of its kind.
Great for when I'm at my desk.
Awesome app! I love being able to send txts from my laptop, so much quicker than trying to type on my phone :-)
Connection error, as everyone report. Also, no password protection. Not secure. (someone can simply scan the network and view your sms)
App looks great and functions well! Try add a little contrast between messages maybe, other than that it's perfect- much better than EasySMS!
