It's been crashing all the time, even after reinstalling!!

N70%

Crashes from time to time, but overall a nice app

J70%

Embarrassing bad

Q70%
by Q####:

Had spent some time building my personalised schedule for up coming conference but after the update, all gone. Not happy. Edit: also constant notifying that an event is about to start that isn't happening until tomorrow, and switching my phone to silent every few seconds, even after turning the auto silence feature off! Edit 2: now also crashing when searching by name. Update has completely broken this app, was there any pre-release testing?

W70%
by W####:

Crashes constantly. Doesn't update changes to schedule. Defaults to first day of conference so you have to constantly scroll around looking for things happening now.

N70%
by N####:

Installed for using at Photonics West. Does NOT work. Crashing before it starts, during downloading og conference info (Android phone)... But now, after the update, the app seems to be working fine. I look forward to start using this on my next SPIE conference.

N70%
by N####:

Every time that I start the app it states No Internet connection although I can search the Web with chrome. Unusable as it is currently.

K70%
by K####:

Application provides conference information and a search function useful to find papers, authora and exhibitors.

U70%
by U####:

Freezes on launch.

H70%
by H####:

Crashes on open. Every time. (App V1.1.2 on Android 4.1.2)

N70%
by N####:

Good app, some observations so far (first day of use): in search results and "my schedule", conference and session tabs cannot be drilled deeper (bug? Latest Android on Nexus 5). Would be great to have an opportunity to star search selection in addition to being able to add to the schedule (plus button). These stars would also have to show up in " my schedule".

N70%
by N####:

I found the search and scheduling functions useful, but compared to my colleague's iPhone I had a hard time running it. The app crashed often or failed to get past the startup screen and it drained my phone battery at a shocking rate. If these issues can be fixed on Android that would be great.

J70%
by J####:

Several bugs especially in search mode, drains the battery in a few hours, doesn't save your position in the program when you look at an abstract, so you have to scroll through it again.

U70%
by U####:

Drains the battery very fast. It actually heats up the phone. Galaxy Note 2 N900V

M70%

Need upgrade

D70%
by D####:

So many crashes. Crashing when loading a conference, crashing when searching.

F70%
by F####:

I haven't managed to use it even once

S70%

So bored

J70%
by J####:

Easy to use app that allows me to keep the entire conference schedule and map on my phone

X70%

Friend has Galaxy Note3 running 4.4.2, works no problem. My S5 with 5.0 crashes every time. Hope it is fixed before DSS next week.

D70%
by D####:

Does not work. Crashes as soon as you try and do anything.

Z70%
by Z####:

Crashes on open. Every time. (App V1.1.2 on Android 4.1.2)

Z70%
by Z####:

It crashes when trying to open..hope it is fixed by tomorrow before dss starts

Z70%
by Z####:

Crashes upon selecting any conference. Of no help whatsoever

Z70%
by Z####:

I can't view anything about a conference because it crashes on first click. Completely broken. LG G3 Android 4.4.2 Kitkat

Q70%
by Q####:

This app was very useful for me during SPIE Optics+Photonics conference. It was even better than printed version of programme. I was able to easily find upcoming lectures and choose the ones I would like to attend.

T70%
by T####:

Useless for two concurrent conferences, selected papers not merged. The app downloads all conference info when switching - must be online (hard when travelling). Authors and affiliations not shown on abstract page. The app was not worked on in any significant way the past two years, SPIE seems not serious to expand and improve the app. Paper still better.

Security call

Q70%
by Q####:

It lacks a few easy features that would make it much more usable. 1) When I go to my schedule, don't always go back to day 1, but to the current day and time. 2) When I click on a talk in my schedule, I want to know what conference it is in (in addition to the room and time). 3) I wish we could rank talks in the schedule to help you figure out what to do when you have a conflict.

Y70%
by Y####:

There should be a way to list specific conferences for quick access. The search function will return any results contain just one of the inputted words, rather than all. Each conference is only listed under the day it begins. This app's usefulness declines each day due to the fact that it always starts on Saturday's events (after an excessively long splash screen), even later on in the week. Even so, it does provide useful information at a fraction of the weight of the printed book.
