AudioBoost finally on the Samsung Galaxy S 2!! Allows you to boost the volume for a +19%! It BOOSTS headphones, speaker and probably mic and everything else! Only software to give a boost so powerful on the SGS2!
YOU NEED A ROOTED DEVICE! If you still didn't root your phone, now it's a great time to do so!
Works ONLY on the SAMSUNG GALAXY S 2 (GT-I9100)!
USAGE: After install, open the application and it will prompt you to install alsa (after giving it root privileges).
Then you can choose the desired volume and hit the "ENABLE" button. After enabling you can fine-tune the volume as you please with the slider.
Then you can hit the menu button on the phone and choose QUIT -> BACKGROUND. It will work in background mode (leaving a statusbar notification).
Whenever you like to exit, just do use QUIT -> QUIT and it will stop working. You don't need to disable the boost before doing so, it will save the status and be ready for the next time you'll open it!
If you like there is also an option to have it open on boot…just look under Settings!

... instead developer makes another application which you also have to buy. I will contact Google with request to remove this developer from the store. For the purchased applications upgrades must be included for free, this is one of the basic policies of the Google store.

makes the sound very fuzzy, even at low levels of boost, and is a huge battery drain, but could be only on my device - installed it and noticed that my battery is getting emptier more than two times as fast as usual, even when not listening to music at all, uninstalled it, and a week later reisntalled it and it happened again.

Working on i777 (at&t), running Omega 11.1 rom, ics 4.0.3, Siyah kernel 3.4. Four stars instead of five because of the lag time between start of sound & app boost.

Hey..this works great on my SGS2 4G touch! And I love it. I am curious...when S3 comes out, will this be able to work on that? Is it in development? If so, I will buy the S3 or just keep my S2 if you guys don't plan on doing so. Your response will be greatly appreciated :)

Good boost for people who listen to podcasts and audiobooks or are hard of hearing. If you set it too high it seems to cause my phone to protect itself by disabling the audio jack. Not sure if that's a problem with AudioBoost, music app, or a phone problem.
