Shortcuts new Event/Contact for Android
Does what it says on the tin: gives you a homescreen shortcut that'll take you straight to the create new event page in your calendar app.
Quick and easy to set up and use with Nova Launcher swipe shortcut.
I've been an android user for years and never rated anything before but this app is so perfect I couldn't live with myself if I didn't rate it. It does literally exactly what you want it to do, and nothing else: you press the app icon and it directly opens the Google Calendar new event window. Why this isn't built in to Google calendar is beyond me. But since it isn't, this is the best alternative by far.
Does what it says! I've been looking around trying to create a shortcut for New Event and New Reminder. It would be great if this add supported New Reminder. Indeed, this should be part of the stock Google Calendar Widget. Please write feedback in google calendar to ask for it.
Just what I was looking for! Should be stock like others said. I like the icon too.
Exactly what I was looking for !
Installed, but not working on M8/LP. No icons apps or widgets available.
old but gold
When returning from the group selection window, it usually crashes without saving, loosing any other information you have saved. This is a frustrating as I use contacts and groups to remember where I met people. Otherwise great idea to quickly save contacts.
Should be stock! I get tired of writing that in reviews, but it's true. Google has all of the money in the world and a ton of programmers, but they seem to leave out little things like this that are incredibly convenient.
Just add a basic function that calendar (and SolCalendar;) should already have ! Thank you very much.
No app permissions. It just adds functionality that Google should already have. =:D
The 'new contact' button works just fine but the 'new calendar event' button throws an error: "unfortunately, calendar has stopped." I can't rule out a problem with my phone tho. Any other s3 users having problems?
Does exactly what it's supposed to. No permissions required. Tiny 70kb package. New calendar event shows current time and date by default - i prefer this to the usual 12:00am! (Please capitalize the "N" in "new")!
Does what it's supposed to do
Great idea, should be stock. Calender shortcut partially opens calender then crashes
Exactly what I was looking for !
Spot on just there when I need it
Does exactly what it says. Needed these shortcuts to make everything quicker and easier

The only one app which throws you directly to create a new event in Google calendar. Other apps first load itself and only then create an event.
