About BreatheWell Wear

When people endure stress, they experience the fight-or-flight response. Their heart rate increases and breathing becomes shallow, exacerbating anxiety. Slowing their breathing, particularly when exhaling, helps calm them.

This Android Wear app assists the user in performing deep, slow, diaphragmatic breathing by providing visual and auditory guidance to pace breathing, including a display of the user’s heart rate in real time. It also provides the user with the option of listening to calming sounds and music or selecting a song from their own music library. Breathe Well Wear allows users to program reminders to practice during periods of low stress to help them perform the breathing technique effectively during periods of high stress.

I have had several patients use this app to help them manage stress and anxiety. Every one of them have told me it has been a huge help and made a big difference!

It works very well for breathing. Several options not found on other free breathing aps. It seems like an oversight to go to the trouble of adding a reminder system, only to limit it to two reminders. Other platforms offer a more robust system rather than expecting users to download multiple aps for something as basic as hourly breathing breaks.

this is right on target with someone who is easily tempered, high anxiety, or just need to relax more. it is user friendly and truly works.I am a Marine vet with 4 combat tours and it has helped or lower my anxiety in situations, helped me wined down before going to sleep, has combed me down when I come across situations in crowds

Have problems with severe anxiety used this app in many situations where definitely needed help and this app would go off after setting reminders during certain parts of the day. Recommend this Application to anyone with anxiety issues :)

Pretty bare-bones. Lets you set 2 specific times during the day to be reminded to breathe, then guides yiu through the exercise. I like that you can follow the timing with just the vibrations fir guidance (it means I don't need to sit at my desk at work staring at my watch for a full minute). I also like that it can show my heartrate and asks me my stress level before and after. Good features to add 1. Random breathing reminders, or link to heartrate data (not sure how much this woukd drain battery) 2. (potentially just on the phone app): record/track your stress and heartrate data over time, and whether or not you did the breathing exercise.

Using a moto 360.I wanted an app like the breath app on Apple watch which monitors your heart rate and guides you. This guides you but no hr monitoring. Also the reminders don't work at all and there should be a option to add as much as possible. I also don't understand why it asks for the stress level at the beginning since it has no impact on the breathing guide. There should also be some info logging so you can track your progress.
