Power-Grid for Android
Used to work really well. After a while it started to crash every so often, and now it just force closes every time I press connect. Tried on multiple android devices and still crashes. Don't waste your time on this.
When I first started using this application back about a year ago for Elite: Dangerous, it worked pretty well, although it was a little hard to set up at first. Recently I started using it again and I'm having a problem that many other people are having in which the program on my tablet crashes every couple minutes. Unfortunately there has not been any updates to the program since 2014, so the odds of the problem being resolved is next to non-existent.
Doesn't work for me with elite dangerous. Mapped "5" to lights just to test. Created a button in power grid to press"5". Didn't work. Test on a text doc and button types "5". In an e mail, a URL, anything but elite. Press "5" manually on keyboard and game responds so game mapping is correct. Ran everything as administrator as suggested, doesn't work. Tried game in windowed mode, everything. No good for me. Shame as app looks great.
used to work. now it doesn't. I get an error saying the application has stopped whenever I try to connect after typing the IP of the host computer
Unfortunately power grid has stopped. I would like to like it but I can't. As soon as I enter my ip with or without dots between numbers then press connect, the app crashes while power grid on my pc desktop says please connect your mobile device via... Samsung Note 5 here....
Oops, user error the first time around. Make sure your phone is on the same WiFi as your host computer. So far this is a great app!
I was looking all over for a good Android over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth remote and stumbled upon this. First, its Wi-Fi, so faster. Then it's Free. Then it's heavily customizable; a gamer's dream - as good as an android based remote companion can get. 100% customizable, responsive and cool looking. More so, you can have multiple tabs in it, and I use as my media player remote, a track pad, a system monitor gadget, an added gamepad, and really, sky is the limit to what you can do with this thing... +5!
Back in 2013, I have been using it. After I changed my laptop I forgot about it. Now when I tried to implement and connect to my by laptop and mobile, it just doesn't work with ip or auto scan or anything else. It just doesn't work anymore. I really love this app early but now sadness. Please bring this app to live via Bluetooth or wifi. Make it happen again guys.
The app doesn't even try to look for the pc anymore. PC software fully installed and operational. I keep typing in the IP address, it keeps disappearing. Happening on both tablets, same ones that worked with windows 7 (same machine).
It doesn't work on my roccat ryos mk pro.. there was a bunch of thing tht youtube have shown me with power-grid and ryos bt i'm nt sure if there are any other apps tht specified only for ryos. .
It says "press scan" to find your PC but it does not scan at all it only asks for the ip address and once you input it and press connect it crashes all the time. Worthless.
It's a good idea but... It has far too many redundant features and not enough relevant ones. No proper system monitoring, temps etc. Until that happens it's just another app in the Playstore not worth the space on your device and it's too finicky to setup.
Every few minutes the screen becomes gray, no widgets or anything else, going back to connect again will cause an FC... Starting again will make it work for another few minutes
As soon as you open the app it is destroyed by the fact that it does not have any functionality towords high resolution screens. I basically have to scroll to the right or left twice just to get the full sentence... This shouldn't even be an issue these days. If your basics are bad, then I'd rather not see how many more mistakes are out there.
Quite impressed with this, makes Elite Dangerous more immersive. Only downside is not being able to edit preconfigured grids...unless I'm doing something wrong. But, being able to do this would help massively when tweaking other users grids, for your own gaming configurations. Tutorials or an additional help file would go a long way and would certainly make me give this 5 stars.
Well this looked promising at first glance. However, despite registering via the website the site still won't let me into the site, might be because I never got a chance to enter the validation code due to waiting for the email, and when it arrived there is no longer a link to input the code, instead it says 'password or email address wrong'. The software might be beta but your website should work properly. Oh well back to HOTAS for Elite Dangerous.
Close to perfect. Bluetooth support instead of WiFi and landscape support would go a long way. Even re-sizing buttons without limit and moving them around freely (i.e. not fixed to a grid) would i think be the final steps to getting an easy 5/5.
This app seems to bring our the burn in. Obviously it's not going to instantly happen to you. Just be careful
An ok app with a lot of potential. The main issue for me is how it works with ts3, trying to reply in ts chat but the phone/app only sends the 1st word.
Have a Note 4 and an Xperia tablet, app refuses to work on either, crashes as soon as I hit connect
On my Samsung galaxy S3 Runs fine and linked up with my PC no problem at all and I can run profiles for my games easy but on my Archos 80 G9 I found I had to add the Ip from the program to get it to connect from the setting tab. So if ur tablet is not working and it ask for the IP look on the pc under setting you will see IP add that one. Now with all that being said he what I think of the app if you can get over the issues iv had its a Must have app for any gamer I am playing Elite Dangerous and this app has helped me proved the way I play so if you are looking to up ur game this is the app to do it its easy to use just has few issues but once work out what goes were it works well.
As soon as I connect to my pc on my Galaxy S6 android version 5.1.2. The app crashes. It's a shame because ive used it before and it's great! Fix this please.
Love it! Only one bug I've seen: someone called my phone as I was using it, and now my phone is disconnected and won't find the computer it was linked to.
...but after the first day it keeps crashing on both ends...mainly on my s5 and when it connects, then the pc app crashes. too bad...looked nice and handy.
I've tried this on 3 different Android devices... Same on every one
This is a pretty original app, my one problem is that if you Google what is my IP on your PC, it will give you your routers IP not your PC's. Other then that, easy to set up and sync
The app is really awsome. Especially that i can use hotkeys in games like league of legends. Too bad i have to buy more space for other screens...but its ok.
Really good idea, but puzzled as to why this is focused on Phone sized screens, and fixed to Portrait mode only! Would look and function way better on a Tablet. 3 stars for now, hopefully will be updated at some point.
It's been over 2 years and no update. The app has a habit of crashing at the worst possible time. You must be connected to the Web (PC side) and have a Roccat account. There is no support for higher resolution displays and no landscape mode (but there is a partial work around for that). Don't get me wrong, it's actually a good program. Just one that never reached its full potential, which is sad as it is really good. 75p per extra grid to a max of 10. So £7.50 to get them all!!
Seems like a cool idea, if it were to actually work. The desktop application doesn't scale with higher resolutions which means magnifier is required to do anything. If you do manage to make out the text, it prompts you to create a Roccat account, and then proceeds to crash after clicking "create".
Used to use this very regular but it just instantly closes on both my galaxy S4 and nvidia shield tablet
Unreliable buggy piece of crap. Constantly signs out, needs to sign back in, loses custom screens, drops connection, just simply does not work half the time. Ended up making my own with Eventghost, and it works flawlessly, happy to uninstall this rubbish

I love the flexibility of being able to create my own grids. As a perfectionist I have been working on my own grid by creating my own buttons to suit my needs. My only suggestion would be to allow the ability to customise the actual grid scale, this would enable users much more flexibility as well as being able to adjust the grid to suit the size of the users screen size.
Last update was in 2014. Since then, android has had several updates. App crashes on three different devices (galaxy s tablet, so and note 4). Did everything suggested on the forums (which isn't much) and still not working. Too bad too as I was thinking of buying other Rocca peripherals (mouse, keyboard). I won't buy Rocca anything knowing that they have poor support and don't keep their products updated.
Why can't Power-Grid use Bluetooth??? Why??? It would be so much helpful for when you are close and can pair your phone and your PC with Bluetooth!
Good app for its purpose BUT the reliance on online functionality detracts from the full usefulness of the app. It would have been great if there is some sort of Offline Mode that will allow one to continue using it without a constant internet connection. I hope this would become available soon even as a premium feature.
Rca tablet + windows 10 doesn't work. Little help here?
While I'm trying to scan my IP address as soon as its done I tap connect and the app crashes, I really want to use this with elite dangerous if you fix this I would definitely put my review to 5 stars because its such a cool concept

Just crashed at first bc i didnt notice firewall opened in background on pc. Been looking for and sound mixer control like this for a long time. Why is they no such thing as a gaming keyboard with a volume mixer built in? There's a million dollar idea.
