Home Buddy

Seems to not be Android 7 compliant. Was working fine before T-Mobile forced the Nougat update onto my Galaxy S7 edge, now it crashes after sending the command to the Vera. The command is obeyed, but you have to restart Home Buddy.

Works great for my Vera system for older Android (pre-Nougat). The latest Android 7.0 Nougat crashes after every action though which makes the app barely usable, and there hasn't been an update on the app in serveral years. Unfortunately I have to drop my rating :(

I have used this app for 2 years. New android update and the app has completely stopped working. Please fix and I will give 5 stars again.

Was a great app until the latest android update. Now it crashes after every command is sent. Basically unusable, hopefully they will fix soon

Crashes after you send a command on new android version on pixel XL. Been good for years.

I had a lot of trouble setting this up initially. After downgrading from UI7 to UI5 it works awesome.

Does exactly what i need and nothing i don't. Can't get the foscam to show up though....probably me.

When I click locate vera, it asks for a Mios username. What is that? And it can't locate and nothing is clear.

After years of using home buddy, it auto closes with lollipop 5.0 on LG G3, now I have to use a competitor :(

And it doesn't work with UI7.

I have used this app for a few years with no problems. New Android update and the app has stopped working completely. Wont even load up. Email the developer and he has not even replied. Obviously he does not support the app anymore.

Like others, I see it doesn't support ui7. Uninstalling.

The graphics are pretty small so it's hard to identify the symbols at times. Also, the app accesses your devices microphone without asking permission or even listing it as a necessary permission. I find that to be a deal breaker. Maybe I'll try again once these issues are addressed.

No Vera Edge support? Seems like this doesn't support the Edge yet... It won't automatically find the Edge, then when I try to manually configure it, it finds a Vera device but the login always fails, when the same login works perfectly in other software.

After spending way too much time trying to get this to work, I am left guessing that it simply doesn't work with UI7. I cant find mention either way and its not working for me over internet. Does work locally though. Weeks and no response from dev. Ive tried manipulating the forward since it seems to be changed for UI7.

I used to love this app but now it no longer functions under the latest ui. too bad wish it was fixed.

I downloaded all the Android apps to try them out. This is my favourite. I use UI5 on Vera Lite. Only odd thing is that for some reason my Fibaro smoke detector doesn't appear in HomeBuddy. Not enough of a problem to merit dropping a star.

on Samsung Note 3. Using micasa verde and Trane thermostats, still has a problem with syncing commands from android app to thermostats. I send temperature command to thermostat, it says successful on home buddy app, but temperature didn't change.

This USED to be an excellent app... But all recent changes make it stink beyond the depths of hell. The developer has apparently abandoned those had endorsed him before,... It is apparently no longer possible to connect to a local only network,... Only supporting MCV's horrible security model of MIOS only support... Develop your own app and boycott this developer's projects!!! And also boycott him on anything Open Source, unless he changes his support model!

Update- recent app update FCs all he time on N7. I can't believe this is free. Excellent job rakstar. Pollished and intuitive interface, "just works." A new user, just getting into my new Vera. Love that it pulls the config from the Vera and doesn't require its own config. My only comment is that it seems a bit odd that after controlling a device (turning On or Off) the little window (not a Toast) remains on screen when it seems like it ought to go away.

Latest update force closes on my Moto Razr Max with ICS. Found out from FAQ on dev website that I needed to clear the data from the Manage Apps screen. It is working again. Also love the ability to add scene widgets to home pages. This works great and bypasses the constant refresh requests when opening the app. Keep up the good work. I would gladly pay for this app!
