WiFi Buddy BETA for Android
UPDATE
- Fixed force close on HTC Hero
- Added VPN settings (2.x only)
BETA VERSION
Only problem is it'll detect but not connect on Honeycomb. 5 stars if u fix that
I have went through all of the WiFi widgets and buttons. So far this is the best one. Uses very little bat life, quick access to WiFi setings
Excellent! Simple to use & makes getting hooked up to wifi spot really easy! One of my favorites. (Samsung Galaxy S & Coby 7024 tablet)
Works amazing on my Droid X, wouldn't believe its beta! Love the details.. like what channel the net is on, helped me set up my WiFi.Rock on dev.
It's very slow and crashes very often. However is good at finding spots. Huawei ascend
Love this app it has fixed my problem and it didnt take long! I have been searching for an app like this for ages! Love it =)
It's good. It'll be better if it would let me connect to a protected network without directing me to the stock WIFI settings. Still giving 5 stars tho
Easy to use interface and quick. Would like more functionality like a proximity scan, but this is small enough to overlook shortcomings.
Locks up occasionally and is temperamental. Usually works but I've had to force close or reboot Droid when it's refused to logon or find a network.
I installed last night & I haven't had a wifi problem all day. Left home came back & it worked as if I'd never left the wifi signal range I have wifi fixer installed too, but since I installed buddy I haven't noticed a drop all day.my wifi seemed to stay connected all day & battery seems a little better. didn't use the scan timer cause I'm usually @ home
Really nice, effective WiFi connector. Had problems with Desire and this sorted them all. 5 stars.
This app actually worked great. I don't lose wifi signal withing 5 mins no more.
Great does wat it clams to do!!! IM NOT DOING COMMENT THO IM TIRED! Bye
Wrong WPA info, uninstall. Use wifi analyzer.
Finally something that fixed my crappy wifi in this Samsung.
Very useful app, intuitive interface, well written, works flawlessly. The best in its class. Thank you! Samsung epic4g
Looks ok, but not worth the download. Just add a shortcut to wifi settings instead, same thing.
Use this on two phones, Sony Xperia m16 pro, and the s5. Has always been SUPERB. Recently for no reason I can see and despite uninstalled/reinstalls it crashes before opening on the s5. Xperia still perfect. I have rated at five stars previously.
Lately been crashing 80% of the time. Getting close to uninstalling. Really like the app when it works, but it's starting to not be worth it.
I am outside the UK at the moment. App is good so far. Thanks Virgin Media.
Nice app. Automatic connection doesn't work though. Still have to manually search and connect.
Works well... sometimes I have found it to not connect to available network that I have connected before. LG ALLY
Basic app. Nothing special. No graph like others. Shows security settings, chanel, signal strength. Similar to my favourite Wifi Analyser, others are WiFinder, wifi manager, wifi buddy, etc
Does exactly what its supposed to. Stops me messing about in settings on my x10 mini pro.
Lately been crashing 80% of the time. Getting close to uninstalling. Really like the app when it works, but it's starting to not be worth it.
Doesn't show proper connected network on my new GNex like it did on my OG Droid. Still OK, but reduced number of stars
Great - straight to available networks so you can choose one. HTC Desire
Started off great, but my phone kept uncontrollably scrolling left until I uninstalled. HTC Incredible.
Keeps wifi running ( via setting ) at screen timeout . This is good when running a communication app that relies on wifi to receive incoming calls.
Would be better if auto-connected to known networks. But otherwise great.
I keep getting booted from a reliable WIFI connection. I have tried everything from disable looking to @startup only to all the various timed searches. But yet, i keep getting booted then reconnected. I understand now why this is only a BETA version.
Doesn't work after update. Press go and nothing. Press search and nothing.
Have tried a few of these and I think this is the clearest and quickest. Well done. A widget would be good if possible :-D but very happy with it
Crashes on launch with my Galaxy Nexus on both 4.1 and 4.2. It worked great...when it worked at all.
Samsung Transform M920 native wifi as well as this 1, CAN'T ACCESS WIFI'S! I've 10+ wifi on ph. Remembers them, makes no-connect on WPA exct. Wants PW
brilliant. You need to setup WiFi network, then never think about it again
Great for manually connecting to networks. Autoconnect to remembered networks would be good, but has mostly fixed problems with wifi on x10 mini.
Great app, just needs an option to start on phone boot up.
ill keep you posted!

Showed connected network twice. Often show list of password protected network as open. When these two issues are fixed then bumping the star back to 5
