QPython3 - Python3 for Android for Android
I like the app, as a decent text editor with script power. Comes with a few nice examples of what the app can do. A lot of it is based off the user already knowing python. This is not a tutorial app and does not teach programing. It is really customizable if you know sl4a, python, and learn how this app is structured. I even read in the wiki there is a core upgrade method, although I haven't managed to figure out the details. Edit: went through lots of wiki info. Core can be upgraded, although not to a numpy usable version. Went back to the original qpython for python vs2.x. Its said that version is numpy compatible although I couldn't get the editor to work without lagging my phone 30 -60secs per line scroll. Hopefully something comes from these apps not deleting custom files after uninstall.
Great app for tablets. Seems to be the only one that really works as advertised. Only problem is that it does not seem to work under Android 8.0 (Oreo). Scripts will not run. editor itself seems to be fine, but actually running them no longer works. Any possibility of a fix for this? Keep up the great work!
Solid app, but there are a few things that could be improved. It doesn't seem to be possible to browse for scripts outside the pre-defined scripts folder. Also, you arent given the option to pass arguments to a script when executing it. I wanted to install the feedparser library, but no dice.
This app does not work very well. Many basic python functions throw errors in the app. The scrips work fin on the computer
Great app, but every so often, the console completely stops working and won't run any scripts. In fact, just opening the console by itself will only bring up a black screen. Restarting the app or restarting my phone don't work. Reinstalling the entire app has been the only fix. :(
This is a great app, I have had it for a long time, but, I just figure out some of its real power. I thought it could only do python code, but, it can do much more. Thank you to the developers.
My return key keeps changing in the console to a search or done key, which wont start a new line. Ive changed my keyboard settings but it seems it has to do with the app.
Fantastic! The only problem I have is with the camera to capture QRCode.
It gets the job done for the basic stuff, but I can't install a specific module. It won't do it with pip. I tried to manually install it and it still won't work. Module name is praw.
I love to have Python in my pocket. I run a Python app that shows me what the max miles I should have driven to date on my car lease.
Looks good. I'm still finding my way around this..over writ the Hello World example when finding out what the GUI options do so wrote my own (I'm new to Python). Does anyone know why I can't get the /n to do newline? print ("/n Hello World") also prints /n as text
Great mobile version of Python. Emailed the developer about a few bugs; hopefully they can be fixed soon
Doesn't execute script automatically on Android KitKat. Please, do something about it. Everything is good on my phone powered with Android Nougat.
I am not able to load files The following code results in an ERROR ONLY IN THIS IDE- file=open('f.txt') The file is in the project directory.
Would be nice if it supports at least Python 3.5 and auto syntax edit like Pythonista in iOS. Please keep up the good work...
I've never used an app that I INSTANTLY couldn't operate... the on-screen keyboard disappears randomly, it gives me the 'Search' button at the bottom-right rather than 'enter/return'...... so I can't even press enter... I tried looking through the "special characters" menu to see if there was a volume shortcut to be able to press enter... there wasn't.. then the keyboard disappears again and I select in the top-right dropdown to bring it back up -- it doesn't. I literally spent 5 solid minutes trying to run one command until I force-quit it. I'm going to Rage-Uninstall it now. Sorry, but if you can't get basic functionality down on the interface, what should I expect for the rest of the app? (I'm using Android 7.0, on a Samsung Galaxy s6, in case you decide to try making this app less awful to use.) Interface is like a first impression when you meet someone, it can also be the last impression. (Note: Tapping the screen where the interpreter prompt is waiting for a command should make the keyboard come up automatically... because, what the hell else am I there to do?)
QPython is running most of my scripts, and I have already automated a few daily tasks. Thanks to the Developer for investigating the screen rotation issue with the editor.
Nice app! Looking for more upgrades in the future, for a full custom design alternative.
script still runs in background even when you dont want it to.
I had qpython older verion. If there in editor I saved a program, that program would be present in "program" menu. But in python 3 after saving a program in scripts, the program wont display, plz fix it.
Need Urllib badly...its failing to install
Learning Python 3 with this app, it's great who knew programming was so fun! Damn you trackbacks!!!
Awesome put tutorials and I will give a sixth star if possible
Why cant we have 3.6.1 or like 3.4 or higher it does make a difference
This is a excellent Ide, I like it so much. The best of the best !!
Not as flexible as it's PC counterpart.
Great app helps me alot learn python in practice.
its only 3.2.2 most libs does not support 3.2 anymore
I like it but scripts dont have write access to storage? What other permissions doesn't it have?
Surprising good. I can see quite a bit of potential in the mobile environment. Running Oreo stable on Nexus 5x.
Simple looking and very powerful app. Highly recommended for beginners.
Fails to write to a text file
What about graphics module like Tkinter?
Does not support pygame
When is 3.6 coming or even 3.4
I like this app, it's very use full 2 all
Made it unbelievably easy to use Python on android
Very good app but wish it had text to speech like pyttsx and had voice recognition
The file is not decoding, its giving an error Over all the app is ok

Good, however, sometimes the code won't print when it should, and whenever I click on a link on the internet browser of my phone, this app will "run a code", and won't let me see the link. Therefore, unfortunately, I will have to uninstall (at least untill you fix the issue). EDIT: Also, when running Kivy, it would say "Catch an exeption, it will restart", and then the app goes black. All it takes is a quick google search to see that many people have a similar issue with your app.
