Burn Ban 411 for Android
It's really frustrating when you discontinue the mail notifications and switch to an app without notification, and then you app has no push notifications
No confusion here. It's not a puzzle. Will change to 5 stars when it pushes notifications to my phone when a burn ban is enacted.
Does what it says...!
The obvious feature needed is an ability to set push alerts by county for burn bans, and the lifting of them, and by what type of ban. Each of these alerts should be fully customizable by type and county. This is a no brainer feature, and really the only one making this useful since no one wants to, or will, check the app periodically for bans!
I don't need to know if there is a burn ban unless I am going to build a fire. And when I need to build a fire, I tap this little icon and bang! there's the burn ban status instantly. I hope the promised version 2 will have the option to turn notifications on/off because I don't want to be notified every day there is no ban for my area. Thanks for a simple app that does the job so elegantly.
It does the job. I agree with others...if I want to burn, I check the app. Beats calling on the phone by a mile. I don't want a hundred messages clogging up my email or texts every time there's an update, especially when it's not the county I live in. I hope with the new version you can turn off the push feature!!!!

You only get half the story with this app. The big green banner will say NO BAN, when there is indeed a Fire Danger Ban. The explication is: there is no Air Quality Ban. After reading the response to my review : The app and the reasoning is FLAWED. When there IS a ban, the app should NOT say No Ban. I had to scroll thru and hunt down any info on my county, when using the yellow banner. Not easy. I've deleted this app.
Does what it says...!
Presently there is a burn ban in every county in Washington State, this app does not reflect any of them. At present this app is useless and dangerous.
........
Thought it was up to date, but since it's July and been in the 80s and 90s for a few weeks and status still says "No Ban"??? I know there is something wrong! And, passing local fire station says there is a burn ban...it is clear the app is not reliable.
Don't put up stupid apps ban...
This would be great if there was a notification that alerted you that fire ban was in affect or it has been lifted. Then it would be much more useful and would get 5 stars.
Would be optimal if the app had an alert that would automatically notify me, similar to the way I'm notified I've received a new text message, when a status changes.

This app seems to work very well.
Fast up to date info
Would great to have a widget for my home screen.
Uninstalling it until it pushes notifications. I get email alerts, but decided to check this out when the email system failed to send out a change in status to Pierce County subscribers. No point in using it if it doesn't notify.
Nice notification!! it would be nice to get one.
Wish I'd known about this app sooner. Great job, can't wait for the push notifications!
Does what it says...!
Unable to connect to server to get updates.. back to your website for the info
Nice clean interface. Looking forward to notifications.
This app has been very useful. Accurate and easy to use.

One suggestion would be to show air quality forecasts by county.
It dont work alot of BS
This app would be great if they ever updated it. If they paid for this with taxpayers money. I would say it was a perfect example of fraud waste and abuse.
2 stars for effort but there is a burn ban right now in pierce county for sure I'm pretty sure it is state wide but the app does not say there is a ban. Does it only say there is a ban if it is because of air quality?
King County and Pierce County both have fire safety burn bans currently in effect. PSCA's app shows green, No Ban, for both counties. Will fire officials let people off with a warning if PSCA misleads them about burn ban status?
This doesnt show the burn bans???????
