About Torque Pro (OBD 2 & Car)

See what your car is doing in realtime, get OBD fault codes, car performance, sensor data and more!

Torque is a vehicle / car performance / diagnostics tool and scanner that uses an OBD II Bluetooth adapter to connect to your OBD2 engine management / ECU

Layout your own dashboard with the widgets / gauges you want!

It can use the GPS to provide tracker logs with OBD engine logging so you can see what you were doing at any point in time

It can also show and reset a DTC / CEL / fault code like a scantool. Helps you fix your car and helps keep repair costs down!

Torque also features:

* Dyno / Dynomometer and Horsepower/HP & Torque
* Can read Transmission Temperatures (vehicle dependant)
* 0-60 speed timings - more accurate than just using plain old GPS - see how fast your car is (or truck )
* CO2 emissions readout
* Customisable dashboard & profiles
* Video your journey using the Track Recorder plugin with onscreen OBDII data overlay - a black box for your car/truck!
* Automatically send GPS tagged tweets directly to twitter (for example if you are going on a road trip)
* Massive fault code database for lookup of fault codes from different manufacturers
* Theme support (choose from different themes to change the look of your dashboard)
* Send logging information to web or email CSV/KML for analysis via excel / openoffice reader
* Heads up display / HUD mode for night time driving
* Compass (GPS Based) that won't suffer magnetic interference
* GPS Speedometer/Tracking and realtime web upload capability - see what you were doing and your engine, at a point in time
* Turbo boost feature for vehicles that support MAP and MAF sensors (VW & Golf / Audi / Seat etc supported)
* Alarms and warnings (for example if your coolant temperature goes over 120C whilst driving) with voice/speech overlay
* Car dock support
* Graph data
* MPG
* Able to share screenshots to Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Email, etc
* AIDL API for third party apps, A simple Telnet interface for developers to talk to the adapter, and an OBD scanner.
* Works on tablet devices like the Motorola Xoom, Dell Streak, Samsung Galaxy Tab and Nook

Works on any vehicle that uses the OBD 2 standard (most vehicles built after 2000, but can work for vehicles as far back as 1996) if in doubt check with your manufacturer first or look for 'OBD2' on written on a big white label in your engine bay

Works on vehicles made by Ford, VW, GM/Vauxhall/Opel, Chrysler, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Audi, Jaguar, Citroen, Peugoet, Skoda, Kia, Mazda, Lexus, Subaru, Renault, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Honda, Hyundai, BMW, Toyota, Seat, Dodge, Jeep, Pontiac and many more vehicle makes, European, US, Far East, etc. Some vehicle ECUs may support more/less features than others

The app needs a Bluetooth OBD2 adapter to work. The adapter is small and plugs into the diagnostics socket on the car which gives your phone access. You can find a list of adapters on: http://torque-bhp.com/wiki/Bluetooth_Adapters (Garmin EcoRoute HD adapters not supported)

If you buy one of the cheap china OBD2 ELM327 bluetooth adapters from ebay / amazon, then make sure you have a good returns policy with the seller

Some of the best reliable OBD2 / OBD adapters are the Scantool.net adapter, the OBDKey, and PLX Devices, OBDLink, Bluetooth, ELM327 and other adapters are supported - search on google for them

More features added every release - there are forums at http://torque-bhp.com/forums/ - if you want something added then let me know and I'll try to add it if it is possible! Vehicle ECUs vary in the amount of sensors supported

*PLEASE NOTE* Any reports of hanging or reboots after quitting the app is due to a bug in HTC devices and Galaxy Tab,this can be triggered by using the Pandora/Vlingo/Other BT apps. Disabling Pandoras new bluetooth settings fixes the problem, but HTC/Samsung need to release a fix.Please contact their support and request a fix,Thanks!

I like the app. Customizable and easy to use. I for some reason can't figure how to read my tire pressure sensors. My GM truck has sensors in the tires so I know it's possible. Any suggestions? I also noticed that some items don't read properly for example fuel level gauge it's off by about 5%. Can you make it possible to edit individual readings?

I fix cars for a living. This is no way a factory scan tool. But a convenient quick scan always in my pocket. Read & clear codes, generic ECM data, & pretty well decoded mode6 data. This app and the adapter of amazon cost me less than twenty beans.

App used to be great but my PLX Bluetooth OBDII device will not pair with my Google Pixel XL. "Link" continually flashes on the device and phone fails to show device. Car is an 05 VW GTi 1.8t. App used to work fine on my old phone. Will rate 5 star Again once I can use app again.

Always disconnects from Bluetooth device. Never used to do that. Should be able to bypass profile if you just need a quick code, etc. App look is very dated. Clicking on settings button on the bottom left opens a settings button on the top right?

by U####:

This app has done everything that I had hoped it would do and has become invaluable. It's actually silly for any car owner not to get an OBD adapter and this app. It will save you anxiety and money

Great app will not regret buying it. Anytime my car has the check engine light on i automatically go to this app and it let's me know everything i need to know in minute's. The only thing you will need is a Bluetooth OBD2 adapter and you will know everything you want to know about your car. Really glad i bought this app i think is the best on the market.

Outside air temp stuck in Celsius. Trip cost per KM? No I selected miles. Need to add odometer from car computer and GPS comparison to see if the car is calculating distance correctly. I think mine is off and would like to track it.

One of the best apps I've seen so far. So cool to use my tablet Or my smartphone to monitor the performance of all my vehicles. It has saved me from unnecessary repairs. Very Useful App!

This was my go to app for all my cars but since the last update I cannot connect to my ford c-max.. Fine before update now it won't connect to the adapter. Gutted. Any ideas why? Help.. Lol

U70%
by U####:

Connecting via bluetooth to cheap ODB adaptor gave me access to diagnostic codes and thereby identify problem (misfire on cylinder 3, changed coil pack - fault solved) and then clear fault warning. Also provides live running status, which will vary depending on the type of car and the feedback it provides. Very useful and extensive app.

unable to get any test results from this app. all I get is absolutely nothing. 2003 ram 1500. seriously want my money back. should have got a conventional ODB 2 scanner

One thing missing from the profile vehicle types; coupe. I was trying to creat a profile for a 2-door Honda Accord but discovered this oversight. This app is still a breast and a blessing!

A70%
by A####:

The magority of the pids dont work on my 2017 f150 with the 3.5 eb. I downloaded the ford extended pids with simular results. I would love to be able to use this app without getting into addressing and hex formulas.

A bit disappointed I purchased this app for tracking economy as well as performance. Performance numbers look fishy at best and you are forced to put every piece of information you want on one screen because if it's not on the screen you're looking at then it does not exist. Mile per gallon calculation for distance to empty and fuel use are way off even when adjusting. Emailed the developer to look for solution and no response

by U####:

Not able to connect with Bluetooth. Other apps don't have any problems. Wasted money on paid version. Avoid this app.

So far, so brilliant! An overwhelming array of options and configurations! Thankfully initially easy to set up and get going. Have experienced no crashes or hangs so far.

Boost gauge saved me a few bucks buying an aftermarket analogue gauge. Plus I didn't have to drill my dashboard to fit it. It is wireless which makes for a dead easy install. Recently wondered how accurate it is for people wanting a measure for a manual boost controller, rather than hooking up an analogue gauge plumbed direct to the hose on the turbo?

What a useless app.. Nothing working on my redmi note 4 mobile..Half of displayed options are not working ..There is no display of average milage per litre... Disappointed..Waste of money

Best app i’ve downloaded. Used to have a mk4 astra with a faulty ecu which caused the car to go into 'limp mode' (3k revs max, no power and misfire' whenever it happened I used this to clear the code (whilst moving worked too) then the car would spring into life. Eventually replaced the ECU but still use this app daily even on my new car to make sure everything is fine :)

This is a great app. Wish I could do more with my 97 F250. Not the apps fault, it's the early year of the truck and it's limitations. One thing I'd like to see added is a zeroing function for the accelerometer so you can put your device at an angle instead of perfectly vertical to center the pip.

Been running Pro for over a year on a ford f250 6.0 2004. When using ford extended PIDs this program hangs about every 20 minutes. Only way to resolve seems to switch off truck n restart. First i thought it was the adapter. Then i blamed ford. HOWEVER ... been running OBDLink and FORScan with exact same PIDs and no hangups occur. Been running OBDLink for 4 weeks straight without an issue. Today i switched back to Torque Pro after getting latest version .. not even 4 miles and the communications lock up. WHY OH WHY only with Torque Pro???

U70%

Perfect tool but has many bugs in live track view plugin, such as instruments lose their id and display settings, no map views. Also I use it on my 2 different phones and fuel consumptionss are different than each other despite of both data folders are the same... Also 1 suggestion, please add an option to customize theme colors, I had to buy from another developer, thanks for this great app.

X70%
by X####:

cheap convenient and easy to use, this is a great app that I've been using for a few years. The data provided through this app is pretty extensive and a scanner with similar capabilities would cost quite a bit more. I'm pretty sure you'd have to spend at least a hundred bucks on a cheap scanner to get what you get out of this app, as some of the cheaper ones don't have live data and other things provided within this app.

U70%
by U####:

Love this app but there is an issue where I plug it into my android headunit and it causes an infinite loop for adding the USB obd as the default. Then once I say yes, it infinite loops too. Is there a way of disabling the request to add the device as a default device for the app?

U70%
by U####:

Everything about this app is good except for its tendancy to screwup GPS for other apps like Google maps. it causes constant GPS signal loss. When the app is closed, everything goes back to normal.

U70%
by U####:

I think the app could be good but freezes up quite a bit, and for some reason on my 05 f250 6.0 it won't show the oil temp? Hope they fix it or tell me what I am doing wrong.

U70%
by U####:

This app and a proper Bluetooth adapter are great. I perform vehicle diagnostics right from my phone. I can load several parameters and view them from under the hood without being attached to a cord. Great tool to have without the price or bulk of a hand held unit costing $100's

Does its job well. Wish some of the technical jargon was more plain English for us shade tree mechanics. :)

iv had this app for over 4 years now and the amount of money it's saved will be a small fortune as I had EML lights come on quite regularly early on. Had the free version for a bit but I purchased the full version. Top work????

I have a 2015 Ford F250 6.7 diesel. Only a few of the PIDs work with my truck. Fairly disappointed with the app.

I am having difficulty getting information that I know is available to display. I sent an email to the developer email listed on the app description in the Google Store asking for help, and it came back to me because the email address couldn't be found.

Although the fault log works fine, the rest is a mess and the GPS doesn't work at all! Paid to much for something that doesn't fully work. Don't recomend.

Just works, been using it for a long time and have noir m not had any issues when using a Bluetooth obd scanner. Has trip logging and id's very accurate.

Works great on my sgs7 with my cheap little ODB sensor, but won't work properly on my Samsung Galaxy tab .. Not sure if it's the tablet (although it's less then 6 months old),ODB, or the app ... Would like some more support for Mazda 3 car if that's possible.

U70%
by U####:

Really great app but would love it if I could find a pid list for my Subaru or have ssm2 support so I could log my car accurately without lugging around the laptop and just use the laptop at home for re-flash and have my Bluetooth adapter and torque for everything else

I bought it once my obdx got here hooked it all up, set in my car specs dead on point was terrible. I took it around the block and it is not accurate i was in 3rd gear didn't go past 47 hp

Amazing app! Never in my wildest imagination that a high end obd diagnostic app would ever be developed for android especially on my 6yr old samsung tablet... i work in both automotive and the tech industry...whenever i buy a used car for my friends and family this app is first on the list to diagnose issues...and whenever some dummy wants to buy an iphone at my tech job i just point out that you could diagnose cars with android and it immediately changes their mind...amazing works with japanese, korean, US and some euro cars... the idiots giving this app bad ratings are used car sellers/scammers, mechanic shop owners/scammers and technologically disabled morons...it needs a high end obd bluetooth and NOT the $3 ebay stuff..just to save you guys time, I used the V-LINK I-CAR3 model

Works perfect for my car. Lost a star due to not having active widgets. It has 1 floating widget but that's about it.
