Fuel Economy for Torque Pro for Android
TURN RED BARS TO GREEN TO SAVE FUEL.
► Requirements:
1. OBD II reader, connected to your car.
2. Torque Pro app, should be installed on your android device. This is a plugin app. It only works from inside the Torque Pro.
► Available Units: MPG, Imperial MPG, L/100KM, Km/L
► Notes:
1. App starts showing graphs a few seconds after your vehicle starts moving.
2. Four methods are embedded in the app to calculate mileage/fuel consumption. Try to change the method if it doesn't respond or the numbers are inaccurate. It is common for some vehicles to report slightly different numbers on different methods. Some cars might not support one or two method at all.
3. Set "Fuel Type", "Engine Displacement" and "Volumetric Efficiency" in your car profile inside the Torque.

Why does this app need access to my calendar, Camera, contacts, microphone, phone, body sensors and sms? Not one of those has a thing to do with fuel economy! Then it wants my vin, plate and registration! Then it wants me to log on to the cloud. Why? So you can steal my cloud password? Uninstalling! ... Update: Really? I just took a screenshot of your permissions. You changed them. You still have contacts. Want me to list them again? Should I go back and compare the screenshot of the first permissions?
Set up and did a decent drive. MPG came back as 44. That's not possible with the age of my car. App also suggested the trip cost £0.33 when I know in reality it's about £6. Nice idea though.
Can't sign into my Google account plus Would be nice but after merging a few trips it froze and can no longer merge any more
Was hoping this would work so I can figure out my sweet spot on the interstate. Check my speed with ways, Ulysses speedometer, and by actually looking at the speedometer. The app shows I'm doing over 15 miles per hour less than my actual speed. Also wildly inaccurate. I have an 05 Xterra off road with a small lift and 33 inch tires. It says that at 45 miles an hour I am getting 20 miles per gallon. As awesome as that would be, we know it's not the truth
Its not accurate at all. Thought it was all worked out but somthing change. I checked all my entries and they are correct. Nice idea poor performance.
It used to work great now for some reason it stops logging after 10 minutes of traveling. Also, it's a pain to sign in with my Google account. Error 16 keeps popping up.
I wrote to the author to enquire about an issue, particularly given that they request you don't leave a bad review without writing to them. A couple weeks later, I haven't even heard back from the author.
I like this plugin for Torque Pro. It'd nicely laid out and could use some more customization features. My main gripe and why it gets three stars is because for the couple of months I've tried this plugin "signing in" always produces this error 16. Not sure if that's an application error or a google error. I've seen many other have had the same issue. Myself I've sent a few email either through the address listed on the play store or through the plugin itself. I got no problem bumping this five stars once it works like it should!
I drive a vw jetta tdi. Did the old fashion consumption at the pump. The torque was saying 5.5l/100 km but real it was 4.5l. So?
App is good. Not accurate yet but I am adjusting values to make it more accurate. Wish I could see more options in landscape mode. Why sign in? Where can I find my info online? Where is cloud storage?
Very good app we Indian are always worried about mileage. Thanks for all those did com up with this wonderful app God bless u all OM SHANTI
My phone is getting old and shut down on its own when it still had 6% of battery left. When I powered the phone back up I had lost all of my user accounts from the phone. So I added all of my accounts again. Everything is back to normal except this app. Error 15 and error 8...
The main app Torque works just fine; logs info, shows correct GPS. This fuel app doesnt. The main issue is it sporadically logs trips and rarely ever shows correct GPS. I emailed the dev and haven't received a response.
Update out of alignment issue is solved with the latest updates.
It toke awhile to figure how to get it going. Maybe you could add just a little "how to"
Great app. It would be great if there was indicator for instant fuel consumption (shown by numbers), and also total distanced traveled.
Not a bad app. But I can't sign in with Google. I will re evaluate if and when I can sign in. Have tried using data and Wi-Fi to no avail.
App display wrong values. I thing there is a problem on all Renault cars. Basicaly you cant read basic values in Torque apps, like throtle position. It cause that many calculated values are wrong.
This app has the potential to be one of the best obd 2 fuel efficiency detect / record app out there. Well thought live graph design. Few hugs to be fixed though. Google connectivity doesn't work for sync.
I'm guessing if you sign in you can. look at trends. Will not let me sign in, and there is a mix of units (metric/imp) on the display
I have a mpg tracker built in to my ford focus. This app is spot on after setting it up right. Having this visible while driving has helped me raise my mpg by 3mpg so far!
Fix it so I can sign in, to utilize cloud storage, then 5 stars
Error code 15 and cannot import car profile from Torque
I bought the paid version before it was free and now it does not work.
I have been using the app for approximately one month, I have enjoyed it
Newly installed. Excited to use it, but it fails to log into cloud.
After installation there is no shortcut or thumbnail available. Even in play store no open button only uninstall button.
I only can see the average speed value changing during my trip. Others remain zero
This is simply great.
Login fails
Does not give accurate information regardless of which vehicle I use it in.
Good App, but it is impossible to sing in with my Google account
Awesome, but lacks personalization of tables (fuel, cost, co2, etc.)
Plugin doesn't function and no support from developer.
The mpg reading is dead on.
Freez most of the time and give infinity numbers never worked with me
I paid for the early version. I'm glad this is free. This is a great tool to have.
can't login to cloud
Love it!

Great app on my phone but unable to access settings when I use it on my in-dash Android head unit, which forces permanent landscape mode. All I can see is the running economy graph in default white background which is too bright, especially at night. I sent email to developer a few weeks back, no response. Also, error 16.
