Voodoo Sound Plus for Android
practically abandoned ... the 4.x beta is incomplete since ages... switched to KAT
I wrote 2 letters already to supercurio, as he asked in app description. 2 weeks passed - no anser.
Update now has galaxy tab as unsupported. Worthless right now TBH.
There is some issues with 4.0.4 ics. Doesn't detect when head phones plugged in. Also can't start it manually. Please update
Paid version says no root required, but still reports superuser & root required. Can I get refund!
Dear Supercurio, on your Twitter, you write that you work on this or that, but it seems Voodoo support for Sgs3 remains forgotten. For a payed app, this is becoming really weird from you. Now, when Sgs4 announcement is just behind the corner...even more sad. :-( Honestly, will you ever work on this? Is there still some hope? Could you say something to this case? Thanx!
But why isn't the regular app listed as compatible with the note 2 variants? I have to go through tons of trouble searching to find the apk. The note 2 DOES have a wolfson dac but I still can't download the app from the play store
Terrible dev, stops support for devices with out notice. It was a decent program on Honeycomb over a year ago but his support on ICS has been pitiful. A single alpha in a year is not acceptable. Asus TF101... switch to K.A.T at this point
I wanted a kernel for my Bionix Nextgen V2 ROM without BLN but still wanted Voodoo Sound. (Hard to find one without the other.) This app does the job perfectly. Now I have Voodoo Sound and I'm happy happy happy!!!
Amazing sound improvements. Bought to support this first rate work. - that was my initial review but no longer relevant as I like many other users have upgraded to an s3 and are still wishing for a compatible version.
Wont open on my note 2 , and original does not work.
I was wanting to upgrade to Galaxy S2 next month. Please make this compatable with it. I won't upgrade until this is available for it.
I can't use it my device isnt capable for this apple so I wasted my money but o well
Bought this just to support the most awesome developer on Android!
This app used to be perfect. Now experiencing a lot of bugs. Media volumes not matching. Sound going through the speaker in stead of headphones.
Worked like charm on Fascinate. Upgraded to Galaxy Nexus. Unsupported. I'm bummed. I hope they make it supported someday. I love this the most. I'm deaf and this make me hear my music. I fell in love with music cuz of this.
Sounds so good i actually use this even at home with my Sennheiser HD595 headphones, sounds awesome!
Waiting for S3 compatibilty! On S i9000 is pure art! I record live concerts with sound like in studio. Amazing!
Simply the best music player out there for galaxy s well worth the money thank you
Really makes a difference in sound quality.
More bass, more dynamic, no avls (compression) or lack of quality, using with wolfson chip + bose cq15
Originally bought this for a TF101 and it was great, til ICS came out. We got a single, less functional update and promises for the GS3. I bought an i9300, with promises of an update & over a year later, we havent even got a beta.
Makes my galaxy a sound amazing, how out should have sounded from day one! if you love music this is worry every penny
Doesn't work for both i9000, and galaxy tab 10.1. They are running android 4.1, please add to notes that it's not working there UPD: For galaxy s i9000 Jelly Bean, updated kernel to semaphore : works fine UPD2 : Works fine for Galaxy Tab 10.1 4.1 DroidBasement kernel. Yahoo!!!!
I bought it again for the new phone. Guy earned it as far as I'm concerned. Epic 4g worthless without this. Here's a newsflash... Galaxy s2 is just as bad. Needed Voodoo "louder" if i ever wanted to record something with audio. Way to go Samsu.g.
Add support for galaxy S II also plzzzz
Will change rating when note 2 development is completed. Edit : it's been a year since I purchased this to support note 2 development. There is no release yet. Should I expect a release or should I simply give up and uninstall this 'license'?
Voodoo sound is designed for and only works with the Wolfson audio chip. The galaxy S has it and so does the note 2. Galaxy S2 and S3 don't and wont work. Also, it is required that you have a compatible kernel or it won't work either. If you have all the requirements by all means, buy this app. The depth and clarity are unmatched by any other mod available. :)
I can't root my LG optimum 7. Along with any other products. I purchased. From you. I hope in time you develop a program that will help me thank u,
Bought for my S1 after being advised by Supercurio the Galaxy S3 port would be out soon. Waited over a year for that port which I suppose isn't ever coming.
It sounds awesome, but if you dont have a compatible kernel it doesn't change anything, you will be fooling yourself if you say that it enhances the sound. I tried this on the stock 2.3.6 official firmware, it works like a charm. But if you cannot load the kernel module, it will sound normally, and you cannot gain any enhancement from it. For exampl i tried this app on cyanogenmod 10.1.3 and it did not do anything, it says no need to load rom, but i know that the sound quality is not like on the one with compatible kernel, so if you cannot find a kernel that works with this its useless. so i restored my i9000 to 2.3.6 with semaphore 2.7.4, because i use it as a music player using FLAC files.
This app is really good use to use it on my galaxy S but not compatible with my htc one x please fix this issue.
Works wonders. I'm disappointed that these features don't come on default on our expensive phones. Great work though.
Voodoo Sound with Wolfson DAC and Etymotic Hf5 and a FLAC means harmony. This completes the Wolfson audio truly unlocking its capabilities, no mud, the perfect grit. Mediums are warm, and subtlety in the low spectrum is truly expressed, while highs remain crisp and every cymbal crash frequency is clearly audible. In summary this app adds remarkable clarity to music. Pair it with some Etymotic headphones and you have a lifelong friend.

This is a great app. It has improved the sound on my fassy big time no way to compare to stock. Spend the extra money to get paid version offers more and supports a great dev.
Why these MORONS, that don't have compatible phones (no Wolfson chip) and no compatible kernels, are rating this app?? Please mark those moronic reviews as SPAM......
I currently use the Samsung Galaxy S3 and Note (NA versions), so I dug out my Nexus S just so I could use this app. We'll worth it! Just got Jelly Bean on the Nexus S and i swear the app got even better!!
Sounds loud and crisp on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 running AOSP 4.1.2 Jellybean custom rom. Couldn't live without it now!

Over a year I've waited for the promised S3 support. I regret paying for this app - it feels like I was robbed.
