App doesn't work at all on HTC 10. No program will play, live stream shows playing but never does.

It doesn't work at all to stream on Android. The iOS version works fine - wish this one did, too.

The app outright doesn't work. It will either buffer endlessly or occasionally it will say it is playing, but without any sound. What gives? This used to work perfectly!

Love this app but recently I haven't been able to stream live. Please address this issue.

Nice and clean interface. 2 major issues with the app: 1) While downloading a podcast, the app unexpectedly crashed and closed on its own. Upon restarting the app, every subsequent try for downloading would cause the app to crash again. The only solution is to restart the phone, which forces PRI app to shut down completely first. Sometimes it requires a clean reinstallation. It is unstable. 2) All podcasts are downloaded under their respective radio shows, needs a separate tab for ALL DOWNLOADED PODCASTS.

Sometimes it randomly crashes when downloading or even opening a show's feed. I suspect or happens when it cannot load the podcasts url for any reason. I recommend developers add better 404 handling or something,instead of creaking the entire app. Sometimes it helps to clear app data/cache. But not always, particularly when the issue is a broken url.

Initially I enjoyed this app for the diversity of programs to which I could listen. I liked the feature that allowed me to download selected programs and listen to them in areas without data connections, but it seems to 'forget' what has been downloaded. This is happening too often. Since I installed the app, updates have added new buttons in the form of large bars that block much of the screen. Now it is hard to scroll through program lists when I am given such a tiny window to read the program episodes.

Stops playing for no reason sporadically during a segment. I like to listen on my phone at work and I have to stop what I'm doing to restart it.

The only reason I got the app was for The World in Words podcast, which wasn't working a year ago when I first DL'd this app...but I stumbled upon this app in my library recently, and I can't get enough of this podcast at the intersection of culture and language...Thank You PRI! I have no difficulty in playing all of the podcasts featured in this app, but I don't know why every times I touch the play button on the live stream (and it then shows that it's playing the program) no sounds I can hear from it.

The latest stories section no longer works.

After tapping on a specific program the app crashes, and now it has adds, not very PRI of you guys.

I liked this application, and was about to install the update - when I saw that its developer now wishes to have permission to access the telephony portion of my device, and its call logs! Now, instead of updating the app, I am STRONGLY considering its removal and adding is name to the growing list of applications whose developers have decided to become way too invasive of my privacy. I wish there was A ZERO rating for such things.

Why would any app that isn't directly involved in making calls need this permission?

Why do you need access to my phone? (Charges may apply? ) ummm. Nope.

When I tap say, the world, the app crashes. Please fix it.

Too many permissions needed

I've used this app for several months because it gives me, someone living outside the US, great access to PRI programs. However, the app crashes frequently and sometimes content doesn't load properly.

Perfect if you like podcasts and want to work on your english

Studio 360's American Icons did the best program about the effects of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest including a reading by Ken Kesey. I didn't know how much he disapproved of the movie and why. In 1971 I worked at Baker Place a haifway house in San Francisco specializing in returning psychiatric residents from the Napa Hilton.

I'm disappointed that it is not possible to listen to the stories, only the current feed. The app crashes every time. I've tried uninstalling & reinstalling, but it does not help.

The upgrade has been disappointing. I can no longer rewind and fast forward. The app doesn't remember which podcasts I have listened to or how far into them I got. There's no quick way to get to my downloads. Wish I could get back to the older version...

...At this point, its inexcusable. Thank God for NPR One!

Doesn't work on s5 or Droid turbo

The app closes whenever I click an article to listen to. Is there a fix? Would enjoy if it worked.

Unfortunately, locks up or closes unexpectedly on my phone... I hope they are aware and fixing the bug.

Doesn't seize up and stall like the other pub radio apps. I've tried BBC, NPR one , NPR and a few others and PRI has been the only consistent functioning app to not stall or seize my phone. The download section seems to be slow and jerky, but the stream works great with or without wifi. Using an android 4g.

PRI has excellent content and now the app has been updated with what I would expect from a modern program. I haven't had a chance to use the updated app much but will give them the benefit of the doubt and give it 5 stars unless I find any problems using it.
