Повесть состоит из трех частей: «Суета вокруг дивана», «Суета сует», «Всяческая суета». Первая часть композиционно работает как вводная, вторая носит сатирический и полемический характер, третья пытается исследовать природу научного творчества и роль, которую играет в нем воображение и способность к нестандартному мышлению. The story consists of three parts: "The fuss around the couch", "Vanity of vanities", "all sorts of vanity." The first part of the compositional works as an introduction, the second is a satirical and polemical, the third tries to explore the nature of scientific work and the role played in it the imagination and the ability to unconventional thinking.
