Pale Moon web browser for Android
Pale Moon for Android is in no way affiliated with the Mozilla Corporation and follows its own independent development and release schedule.
Pale Moon for Android is also independent of its desktop counterpart, and essentially a different application. Although synchronizing data between the two is possible, Pale Moon for Android will not be able to use desktop extensions, and the other way around -- those have to be created specifically for this browser.
Please see the relevant posts on the Pale Moon forum for specific details about the changes and fixes in this version.
Please note that Pale Moon for Android's development beyond maintenance has currently been halted due to lack of sufficient development resources (manpower/expertise) to maintain development for the fast-moving target that is the Android OS. If you wish to help out and are adept at C/C++/Java and Android programming, we'd love to hear from you on the Pale Moon forum!
Pale Moon is my browser of choice on both desktop and mobile. It's fast, extensible, secure and free (truly free as in open, not fake free like other browsers). All other browsers are garbage in comparison.
Perfect browser, with one little drawback: it took me ages to change settings regarding the default search engine. First i had to add my desired new default engine to the search engines, which is perfectly fine. But to make this the default search engine one has to do this in tools-->add-ons instead of settings which i found confusing.
Stops working and shuts itself down on webpages with videos or anim gifs.
Nice security and browsing features. Speed is good too, running Marshmallow. Thanks for the continued patches!
A pretty it's no longer in development. Was great for browsing the full desktop web on mobile and supported great plugins.
I have been using various browser apps for years but this browser is SPECIAL!
It's fast and doesn't crash. I recommend this site.
Forces us to use duckgogo hahaha
Devs should pats themselves on the back. Well done
Add-ons rarely work.
This browser rocks. Make it yours.
Great browser
Developers: You say you don't have the time & money to keep Pale Moon going for Android. If you built the best stripped down browser for Android and added stealth features, maybe you could charge a fee for this app. Are you restricted from making money? I would buy a browser app that offered some premium service. E.g., a proxy. I like Pale Moon for Windows because it keeps Google and Microsoft at bay. Here we need Google, Facebook, & FB Messenger kept at bay. Thanks
Nice browser but it keeps shutting down all the time. It happens at various websites with nothing in common. Very unstable. Galaxy S5 with fresh reinstall of factory Android 5.0 firmware.
This app keeps track of visited sites & displays them as Top Sites. So not private
No ad blocker add-on will install on this latest update of Pale Moon. Nothing is compatible...waiting for a fix.
Another browser with no multi item clipboard. Can't view videos fullscreen. Terrible.
Świetna przeglądarka. Posiada wszystkie zalety firefoxa i jednocześnie jest pozbawiona jego wad. Polecam tym, którzy cenią sobie prywatność, jakość i szybkość działania ;)
The extensions are not working on the browser can you please fix it otherwise I'm not giving it 5 stars. Thanks.
Gets me where I want to go!
Keeps shutting down on video launch...
Pale Moon gives closest to desktop browsing experience, but still not as god as Firefox.
Browser is really fast. I can't get any add-ons to work as it won't install bc it says it's not compatible.
Very good same as computer Windows Desktop apps. Fast ...
Great App.
Video playing problem
works well.
Wow
This browser keeps up with my demands the most- others (stock, Firefox, Dolphin, etc.) crash, seize up, or slow down long before Pale Moon does. If it weren't for this browser my phone would not have survived my wrath thus far.
**Can't handle Amazon (or a bunch of other websites), either. Some 'script' causes it to lock up** The FF team rolled off the fairway, but the Palemoon folks are sticking to a product design that works. I've converted all my PCs and users to PM. UPDATE160115: Crashing quite a bit lately. UPDATE160801: Getting "Access Denied" for some websites (medical ref. sites), but same sites load w/o problem with Chrome.
Don't worry everyone, Pale Moon is keeping pace with Pale Moon PC/OSX browsers and now MOS!
Loving this app better than Opera Mini app, it's faster and the features are great.
I hope it can be kept up to date. I'd even be willing to pay for it.
Nice UI but crashes with video and scripts
Pale moon is my favorite browser.
Such a pity it's no longer being developed as it's my favourite.
Much lighter and faster than firefox
Very slow .. live streaming not working ..
Better and smoother than Firefox performance wise. I wish they'd do something about having a normal homepage and the UI though.. I still think the UI is crappy. Normal forward and backward button/homepage at the top, just like the desktop version are critical. Playing html5 videos crashed it all the time.

Constantly crashing. I have no idea why and apparently neither do the developers, because several versions have been released and the problem is still present. Considering how Mozilla is destroying Fx, I WANT to be able to give PM a higher rating, but the app's performance doesn't warrant it.
