Common FM Synthesizer

Damn i wrote this long thing and it didnt post anyway in short you should buy it cause its Perfect but that wont be possible cause its free. No ads, No money all Synth. I now have 3 synth aps from this developer and only paid for 1 and I will never be deleting this from my device. Download this Analog synth and just dig deep and pay the $3 for Ex synth. Together they can do more than the $300 range units I have window shopped for soo long now. Put your phone and tablet in airplane mode and you will be gig ready.

Yay no ads, which is very rare for an app. You can make incredible sounds very easily. Can you add another octave down to the keyboard? A tutorial would be nice because I have no idea how to save a sound to memory.

A couple of my complaints if any. It needs a little more contrast on the screen. Hard to read on a Samsung Note 4. Also would really like to see external midi keyboard access to the synthesizer. It's a nice synthesizer. I would pay a dollar for it

WOW! I grew up in age of the 80s and ALWAYS wanted a synthesizer but was sooo expensive

The app appears to be using frequency modulation which is inherently unstable. Most FM synths utilize phase modulation despite calling themselves FM. Some waveforms exhibit a DC bias which results in pitch shifts in FM which do not occur in PM.

Alright for those who can't make a preset save, it's easy, just hold the back button for 2sec and the save / rename menu will popup, enjoy! Probably the best fm synth app on android.

Low latency, 4 modules sound great. Only 10 presets to start but they are all good it's easy to make your own patches using them as a starting point

LOVE IT and it is truly free, some of the other synth apps I have tried are kind of false advertising they lure you in let you play a while and then pop-up comes forcing you to upgrade if you wish to keep it , this is a great app and you will get some very interesting sounds from this, I mean hell I am using it professionally . Great app and free .

I love this app. The interface is very intuitive. If definite recommend this for someone who is new to FM synthesis. It's lots of fun to use and you can come up with some very useable sounds.

Does what it claims, and is a fun addition to my collection of synthesizer apps. The volume is a bit low however, so I knocked off a star for what is otherwise a 5 star app.

I love this app so much it's definitely one of the best but i can't record my songs if you could add this ill rate 6 stars (no lol but ill definitely appreciate it)

Takes some practice to find out how to get fat juicy sounds, but it can be done :-)!

Ignores MIDI input, does not even request OTG device.

No ads. No annoying latency. Great!

Great little thing, fun and good sounding, making the transparent option button appear over the up-octave button is pretty stupid and annoying, but otherwise great.

If you can't save what you are working on whats the point?

I've been able to get some amazing sounds out of this thing but how to save user presets isn't obvious to me (if possible) so I lost them in the process of trying to figure out how (still not quite sure :-(). Outside of saving sounds, I think a way to record basic phrases would be a great addition. Great app.

Sound a bit more analog than original DX synth, and is a bit unpredictable and crazy at times.. Which could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you look at it. :) Can't work out how to save presets though. :(

The dev knows what their doing. And for a free stuff - it's awesome. Keep up the great work. Please update banners in play store. They look so low-res

On my Galaxy Tab 10.1 running ICS 4.0.4, the app just freezes up and crashed back to my home screen when attempting to open and use it. But, it's probably for the best in my case. Because, while this app looked great to me, I know I would have just ended up frustrated in the end, because the app appears to offer no way to record, save and then export my work to a wave file. This seems to be a common problem among many, what I would consider, potentially great synthesizer apps on Android. I do hope this crash bug will be eradicated, and that recording and exporting will be added to the application, please.

Just purchased an old yamaha 4 op synth a few weeks ago. Learned of this app ..installed..fell in love instantly. Keep it up! Maybe a .wav recorder option?

is there any way of recording/saving? I see there's a Save icon, but nothing happens when I click it. Am I missing something?

Nice in its simplicity even if the interface if a bit excessively simple, and it's not very useful for me without MIDI input.

A good start but can't figure out how to save presets (save doesn't seem to do anything), too hard to control the tiny knobs and no indication of which section of keyboard you're on.

I just play around with the hardcore digital section and make some dope club music , then I have to pause to reset some of the knobs , then drop the bass. Great app, wish it had drop the bass buttons tho :)

This has to be one of my hands down favorite synth apps and I've probably tried dozens, even paying for some, but this one beats them all for simplcity of use and variety of sounds you can create. From basses to bells and ambient drones ranging from sweet and gorgeous to creepy and all the way to harsh and noisy. Also a great aid in understanding how FM synthesis actually works. A well deserved 5 stars! m/
