OI File Manager for Android
I'm forced to dock 4 stars now (took off another as it's still not fixed) due to the recent loss of swipe-between-pictures within a folder???? (even though I'm using QuickPic which has this ability), and the loss of a convenient paste button right at the top of the screen. Delving into menus to paste doesn't work for me. Also a third problem: the app reverts to the home directory EVERY time the app is navigated away from, with NO setting to change this behavior. (It used to remember where I was last and go back to that.) This app has been very useful and nearly perfect over the years. I hope I can say that again soon, but in the typical devil-could-care attitude app developers so often seem to have, I doubt it. I'll be looking for a new file browser.
Amazing file manager app bt new version is not good. I'm not able to install .apk files
Hello I really this application it easy to use...but please..can you fix, after the update today I need to open a picture one by one to view, I cant just slide to view the other picture even though it in the same folder and I use the same app to open before the update...Overall it a fantastic application
My very first non-OEM file manager. Glad it's still around. Must have material design to fit in other apps I use on my Pixel XL
Finally, a file manager for my phone that doesn't communicate with anything/anybody outside the phone.
A great and simple interface it can install app files the only issue is that it cannot access micro sd function to transfer files please as a micro sd permission to the app
This is my File Manager! Been using this for 1 Year!!!! Easy to use, Simple UI, Fast... 100% Recommended
This is the simplest and lightest file manager on the store. I have been using it since 2012
No unnecessary permissions! ????

Nice
Worked well till Android 8; crashes now
OI file manager is great! Except the Android Oreo update broke it and I'm stuck scrambling to find a comparable file manager until they fix this one! I'll update my review if it gets fixed. ????
Loved this app and it worked great until the last update. Now it can't open any folder containing videos without crashing.
Simple clean little app. Does what it says. Does not require any unnecessary permissions, or no in app purchases.
Can't install APK files with this anymore.
Tell us what you think
Thanks for keeping this updated!
Good
Useful file browser, easy to use, like that you can switch between a white and a black theme after the recent update. Keeps getting updated which makes it even better! Keep up the good work. Edit: for the past few months the app has ceased to work. Always says it's unable to do anything with the files when I try.
PROS▶Simple clear UI that's easy to use. Does most file management tasks, (including on external SD card), with small footprint and minimal permissions. Also useful for creating shortcuts to folders. CONS▶Crashes every time Rename is attempted, and crashes randomly at other times. Often has graphic issues after long press to select. Not at all landscape friendly.
Exactly what I was looking for, small, simple, minimalistic. Does not require insane permissions and access to everything even things that are not related to storage and files. Not filled with annoying ads. You can Browse, cut, copy, paste, delete, rename, check details and/or view the file. I tried 10 different apps before I came by this one, all the big fancy names with millions of downloads and a lot of web articles. TWO THUMBS UP ????????
On Galaxy S 2 and Pixel, this app claims that the root directory / is empty. This is a lie; there are many files there, together forming an installation of Android. Looks like it needs an additional diagnostic: "You do not have permission to view the contents of this folder". Additionally, would be nice if it offered an option to use root to view/modify such directories, for those with rooted phones.
I was hoping to use this to replace ES after they turned to ads, but this lacks advanced features I rely on. This is functional for accessing files on my device and seems a good app if your needs are simple.
Saving text files to SD card was the biggest feature I liked in OI Notepad. But it stopped working after the first or second run. I even installed OI File Manager but every time I try to save files to extSdCard it gives "Error while writing file". I have factory reset my phone three times since I used this app to get things back to normal but to no avail. Please address this issue. I desperately need an app that autosaves my notes to external microSD card so that I don't lose anything while factory reset.
I really like this app thanks to its minimalistic look. Simple, clean and fast. The only problem with the latest update is that now when I copy an item, the bar at the bottom which appears seems to have overlapping text which cannot be read and gets quite annoying.
WhF...??? Something wrong in New update... When i moved my 4tos frm folder to another one., all of that 4tos deleted automatically... It crashed my valuble memory.... F___ this app again... Fix it as well as possible..
Does most file management tasks, (including on external SD card), with small footprint and minimal permissions. Crashes every time Rename is attempted, and crashes randomly at other times. Often has graphic issues after long press to select. Not at all landscape friendly. I think abandoned by developers - no fixes for 2 years. Only keep now to create shortcuts to folders. Android 4.2.2

Latest update broke the ability to select and install downloaded .APK files. Gives an application not available error when you tap on an .APK. Please fix!
