It used to be great! Now it cuts out constantly. Every time my phones screen turns off so does the news. It's frustrating. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but that did nothing. Miss the old version

Nothing much to add that isn't already in other comments. App does not work, I only get the sponsor message and then nothing. Used to be it would go immediately to the live stream. Since it worked before, obviously OPB broke it with an update. I also agree with others who suggest easier controls and not having the stream cut out whenever the screen turns off -- it is not necessary to have the screen on to listen and the screen drains the battery, which is why people let it go off. People want to listen when they are not by a radio so it is a huge disservice to your listeners to not have a top notch app. Do a pledge drive dedicated specifically to making a top notch app if you have to.

It works fine, but I really need controls from the pull-down menu or a dedicated widget. It's obnoxious to have to open the app to turn off the stream.

I constantly have to unlock my phone to keep opb radio streaming. I've used this app for we'll over a year but the last few months this has been happening. Not impressed with how long it's taking to fix.

Like so many others, I only get the sponsor message, then nothing. Could we please hold a special pledge drive to fix it? I'd pay money for that!

Very frustrated. It will load play sponsor message the stream for a min or two then stop no sound nothing. Please OPB I really want this fixed.

It used to work great. Now it continuously stops in the middle of stories to load.

I have used this app for years and loved it, but it stopped working months ago for streaming live radio. I just got a new phone (Nexus 6p) and hoped it would work again, but alas. Only plays the quick sponsor ad and then loads forever. Sad. I am a sustaining circle member of OPB but this means I listen WAY less during the workday.

Plays intro ad, then nothing. With the website being unreliable as well, looks like I'll be listening to info wars and fox news, since at least they provide content. Great way to grow a base! ;P

This app never seems to load and when it does it drops out at points and I end up missing anywhere between 10 seconds to 90 seconds(after a minute and a half I just get mad and turn it off) of the program I'm trying to hear. I love OPB but these days I almost never get to listen to the station due to me not being in my car as much and just plain not having a regular am/fm radio anymore. It seems to work just fine on my PC and on my iPad...

1. Start up logo screen too long. 2. Audio always briefly pauses at startup. 3. Audio stops sometimes and doesn't restart. 4. Still the same lameness June 2016. Why no improvement? ? 5. December 2016, still sucks 6. Jan 2017, still sucks

This app does not work with VZW Google Pixel. So frustrating!

Using the app it's not loading for my lg 10.1 but it work on the web site what gives

5 stars back when it worked. Has stopping streaming for some reason (maybe the latest Android update broke it?). Just plays the advertisement and stops. Reverted back to browser streaming. Please fix!

Sadly, the OPB app does not work on my Droid Turbo 2. When opening an article, the pages can not "fetch data", and fully load the article. When I want to listen to the radio, the app only plays the sponsor message and gets stuck loading. The only thing that works seem to be the notifications. I love listening to OPB so please find a fix!

Quit working and only plays sponsor message and won't stop loading. I won't be a regular night time listener anymore, but it still remains the only station in my car ever :)

Loved this app on my iPhone 4S, but has never worked (except for playing intro) on my new phone. Hope if gets fixed.

It is SOOO frustrating! This app quits every 10 minutes. I have to close it, reopen it, and wait a minute for it to load. I usually end up missing several news stories on my one hour walk/transit commute each way. Please OPB, fix this app and make it work for your listeners.

It stops streaming at random intervals, seemingly at the most interesting moments to me. Yeah, I can load it back up, but every 2-17 minutes? Frustrating.

a streaming app that plays only the intro advertisement- has not functioned to stream radio channel in months. ree-diculous!

Won't load the live radio feed at all, completely useless. As long as this app doesn't work I certainly won't be renewing my OPB membership.

Has always been buggy (such as failing to stop streaming when you answer the phone, it just keeps playing over your conversation unless you manually stop it), but now as everyone else notes, it no longer works at all. Please update with fixes!

Like others have posted, it plays the sponsor message just fine (big shock eh?) But won't actually play opb radio... PLEASE fix this...

Same as everyone else - it just plays the sponsor message and then nothing. It still used 524MB of data just sitting there for an hour and a half, though.

As stated by others, only the promo runs but then does not stream. Other public radio stations work fine. Amazing that they have not fixed this after months of complaints.

It hasn't worked since October for streaming audio. This is absurd. It's even been updated since I last used it. What are you even paying your developers for??

App went haywire, and used over 4 Gig of data while in the background. No notifications, or etc., just maxing out the usage, and the phone bill

It doesn't work. I used to use it, but I bought a new phone and now it doesn't work. Worthless.
