The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Nigeria aims at serving all corps members better by improving our Service Content through the effective use of modern technology.
We have built this application primarily to "Put NYSC in the pocket of every corps member in Nigeria ".

1) The NYSC MOBILE APP works 80% offline and 20% online which makes it really useful even in the most remote communities.
2) One-click access: simply click on the app icon and all the features and update are immediately at Corps members’ fingertips. Helpful to corps members in even the most local environments
3) NEWS and Information Updates: updates can be passed to all corps member in real time, without waiting for them to log onto the website for the most recent updates. Information simply comes to meet corps members not vice-versa
4) The app offers special mobile features that websites are much less compatible with.
5) Cost benefits: the cost of corps members getting information about will be reduced by over 100%

there's no point in Nysc trying to adopt internet method because nothing is working!!!!! It makes the inventors look very stupid!!!! 2 days to camp and I have no call up letter, can't download d nysc app, no mail from them nothing!!!!! God will surely visit those spending my 4000 naira with his wrath!!!!! And punish whoever severely!!!!!

This is a great app. A right step in the right direction. But we must find a way to integrate it into the program fully. So that we can get traffic and make things even easier for corps members. We can add social media functionalities too..things like chat rooms , polls, live reporting , feature stories and all can be added while maintaining the app ' s simplicity. I rated this 5 star primarily cause I'm impressed by the initiative. I've used it and still do and can say authoritatively that it works well. Of course as with anything, there are rooms for improvements.
