NORAD Tracks Santa

I am trying this app for the first time after years of using the website. The rating is far too low. There are suggestions I would make. 1)Try to put the tracker in the app rathee than using the in app browser. 2)On the website it shows you that the tracker has started. It does not show on the app. 3)Please consider adding an ongoing notification and place it on the notification bar or widget so we don't have to open the app to see Santa. For people who don't know, you just tap "LET'S GO!". For those of you who don't know, it is not a Christmas countdown. It is a countdown to when they start tracking Santa.

It says let's go on the main screen but it wouldn't do anything else. So here it is a year later and the same thing. My son was so excited but its 14:15 on 24/12/17 and the countdown is on 0 just like last year. What a joke.

This is an update to my 2016 review where I gave the app 1 star for not loading. STILL 1 STAR. I wish I could give it zero. It's a glorified shortcut to the website. I could do that using much less space without the app. We frankly don't care about the games...just where Santa goes, and even that wouldn't load. Disappointed kids. Disappointed mom. The version 3 years ago was the best.

The countdown on the app on Christmas Eve was saying "undefined". Occasionally it would say where Santa was, but never loading the map itself. Kept saying "loading...". Last year the app was flawless. What happened this year??? Very disappointed!

Useless. Downloaded on Christmas Eve. After waiting ages some text appeared to explain where Santa was and where he was going next. I couldn't get the map to load.

Pointless. It's just a count down to when Christmas hits the earliest timezone and then it activates a button that takes you a website which failed to load properly. I was expecting something like a global map showing us where Santa is. Instead, I let my kid down.

So disappointed. Usually Norad is good, and they've had great apps in the past. This was just a glorified web launcher and half the time the site wouldn't fully load

It takes you to a link, don't understand what the app is for. It also has no sound like the Google santa tracker.

Of all the years, this is the worst! First if I wanted to go to the website, I'd go to the website! I don't need to download an app to reroute me. In several occasional it wouldn't load at all either (which may not sound like much but when you have three very excited preschoolers, trust me it's a big thing). This is not a problem I ever encountered when the app tracked right in the app. Probably going to stop using this and looking for a new one, this is supposed to be a fun, silly Christmas eve tradition and this year it's just not enjoyable.

people who are complaining it is just a count down, need to hit the lets go button. its 10:30 am and Santa is already in India so the app works. love this app even as an adult

I assumed this would show Santa's location, but it just directs you to the website. Very disappointing.

Got to wait till Christmas eve to track him (LIVE) I do this every year with kids and it has been amazing ... rating for this app is rediculous for such an amazing app .. CHRISTMAS EVE guys

How is it a YEAR later, and having the same issue? Wow. Never will I waste my time with this app again. Used to be my favorite for my kids.

Won't load the tracker! How disappointing! What's the point of the what's suppose to be best app and way to track Santa if it doesn't work!

At the time-of-writing, NORAD Tracks Santa is not working for me... The countdown has reached "0", yet there's still no Santa-tracking. I'll check again in a couple of hours, just in case there's some sort of unexpected delay, but unless this is addressed, I simply cannot recommend this application at this time.

While we normally love this app, this time around the countdown isn't working. It has been at zeros for almost 2 weeks now. Here It is Christmas eve now and it's still zero.

2017 app still not fixed. Great thanks ruined our Christmas every year we use the app, this year it just does not work. Big fail!

App is just a portal to the website, opened it up and it never loaded screen. So I went to website and it did the same. Maybe you can fix this for next year. I won't test it out thou, there's better apps out for this.

The app is working as far as I can tell...the complaint is that it's just a Web browser launcher. So what's the point? Just bring up Norad on your browser. No need for the app. Last year was slow and unresponsive at times so maybe this is their solution. Not impressed.

Horrid I hated it BORING I downloaded it so my little brother could see where Santa was jes only three he started crying when it wouldn't work

You have to press "let's go" from the main screen to start the tracking. Great app for tracking santa on Christmas eve! Google the backstory of how NORAD started tracking Santa!

Update: I just saw that they added the countdown for this year, 2017. It is not working this year. There is no count down to track Santa on Christmas eve.

Not working timers just set at zero and now have a very unhappy child as he was really looking forward to tracking santa

So excited to start tracking Santa's movements on Christmas Eve :) My kids are so happy to go to bed on Christmas Eve as they can "see" Santa approaching our area. Works every year ;)

This is the second year in a row that the app didn't work. You really need to work on fixing the problem. I'm really disappointed.I'm sure others are too.

All it does is take you to the website. It was a lot better than this years ago. Sadly, it doesn't work.

Doesn't work just shows you the let's go screen then when you tap let's go it opens your web browser pointless app

Would be nice if the app could interrogate the device's time zone and adjust the countdown accordingly. At the moment Santa won't be visiting us until about 6 a.m. on Christmas Day :-(

App forced my phone to shut down I had to remove and insert my battery to turn it back on a horrible app!

28 mb for what? To see where Santa is, it takes you to a website that never loads. Do not download. What a waste of data.

In the past, this tracked Santa within the app. Now it is just a link to open the browser and it is very slow and clunky.

Just installed it on 12/24/17 and it is saying Santa is still at the North Pole. Very disappointed.

I love it, I always like to see Norad track santa... I rate this app a 5 star :)

It is just a countdown to when Santa Tracking begins...to track Santa, it takes you into your Browser onto Norad's webpage.

Terrible app, not working same as last year, use another app.

Two years in a row doesn't work, have a five year old that is most disappointed, me too.

The changes made for this year have ruined the experience for children, go back to the original layout.

Kinda scary that this app is coming from a national defense administration. Hope this isn't a reflection on their actual work.

Annoying. Tried to use this on my phone but get taken to the website which doesn't work with my phone's browser.

I can't seem to get this app to work :(
