Non-GMO Project Shopping Guide

Hi could you please make a filter on brands for stuff sold in Canada. I was recently diagnosed with Chrons disease and avoiding gmo's is paramount for my health. I have to be a huge supporter of you project or I'll be looking at surgery sooner rather then later. Your app is great I use the scan often but it would be really great to be able to see what companies are sold in Canada because so so many must be strictly sold in the United states because I've never heard of most of the companies. I noticed so many large food brands aren't listed at all like presidents choice, non-American, and kraft. Does this mean they have absolutely 0 non-gmo products? Your app is helpful but it definetly could go a few steps farther. Thanks so much for your efforts in this project.

If your scanning products with no non GMO labels it won't work. Every non GMO product I needed in which is all I buy period because food is being genetically modified and I can no longer eat those foods has worked with this app. I love it. I tells me what I choose is actually non GMO and I'm satisfied. Thanks for this app. Will continue to use it to benefit my health.

It doesn't work. I tried searching and it didn't work, so i went and tried to look in the categories and it gave me a list of brands... went to see what was sold near me and apparently there's nothing anywhere around me... except i know there is.

You need to be able to search for participating grocers by state or zip code. That search function not working. Took me over an hour to find stores in my area

Yes, you have to scroll a lot alphabetically. Still indispensable to me, use it all the time. Keep up the good work!

It's almost been a year and no update for the app. Could be very useful had the scanner and search features actually work.

It didn't recognize a certify non gmo products.

This is a very useful app to store ideas for food in your phone that are safe and healthy. I'm not sure about anyone else, but whenever I go into a store I don't know what to get cause of the terrible food industry. This can help you remember what items you've got befor and if you like them, hopefully make the smart conscience decision get the same items again. THE BAR SCANNER WORKS WONDERS. This is a step in the right direction

When I searched for a product it came up with no results, but when I manually looked for these products they were in the database. So the search engine is useless which kind of renders the app useless as it would take forever to manually search for every product I'm interested in.

Search feature does nothing... please fix. Scrolling forever til you find what your looking for is very tedious and time consuming

It never pulls up anything, I spend enough time in the store, reading labels, I thought this was going to be a big help, HA.. I want help with a quick way to make sure, my food won't turn, my family into half human, half lizard, half plant..

Many comments about how the search engine doesn't work. This is basic functionality. Get it fixed!

This app is dumb . how in the hell you don't have database .... I can look at a product to see if its GMO verified..... All it says is unsuccessfully when you can an item instead of giving you knowledge

Defeating for consumers... I scanned many very common items and they are apparently not in the database. Even searching for "mayonnaise" brings up nothing in the database. This developer needs to get rid of this app or increase their attention to developing a product that is beneficial to the consumer. Due to this app's poor quality, I wonder if it is owned by a corporation who does not want consumers to purchase Non-GMO foods.

Every time I scan something it said no info or something. They definitely need to add more into this software.

Ive had this app for 1 month and it still has ni data base. I just scanned 10 items and not 1 was in their data base. The only thing that IS in their data base, are items that already have their non gmo label on it. Great idea, but useless app. Cant wait to find an app like this that actually works.

Didn't work

Scanned 10 Organic items. Only Two listed. Submitted the rest.

I was really looking forward to this app. I scanned known non-GMO products with your symbol on them and it didn't recognize them. The scanner worked fine, but no go for the app actually doing what it is supposed to do. Please fix it.

Does not download.updates forever then error during update and has to start update over. I would like to see more of the app.

I was disappointed when the search feature for retailers didn't respond to anything new York, but when you go to all retailers one of the first one's you see actually is in NY. So I can imagine other cities or towns. As well as alot of products I found that is known to have gmos when scanned just doesn't show up. Great idea but no way near the information level needed to be a great app.

I scan 5 items with the Scan bar in it didn't recognize any of them

App does not work! NONE of the items I scanned came up...even the Non-GMO tagged items I already had on my shelf! I will be uninstalling this.

I THOUGHT great!an app that doesn't want access to my pics location or contacts. It asked for NO permissions. That is until you try to USE it. In order to use the app it innocently says "you need Barcode scanner to use this app. Do u want to install Barcode scanner now?" Well Barcode scanner has tons of snooping type things they hide in permissions. I still don't understand why apps think it is ok for them to look at our photos?! Or read our phone number and see when we are on the phone & who we're talkin w

I LOVE the concept of this app and would love to use it, but it drains my battery. When I looked at my battery usage, it was using more battery than my os and my screen! Please let me know when this issue is resolved so I can download it again! I also scanned a bunch of items with the NGPVC label on them and it said item not recognized. Very strange. Not sure why I need the app when the products are already labeled much better.
