About ICSSync

Calendar sync for Android!
ICSSync is an Android app for syncing calendars between an Android device and an ICS file (iCalendar) on a FTP/WebDAV server (plain WebDAV or SVN) or stored in a file (e.g. your Dropbox-folder).

Features of ICS Sync:
* Sync one or more ICS-files to your Android device.
* Handle each synced ICS-file as a separate calendar in your calendar app.
* Gets ICS-files from HTTP(S), FTP or from file-system.
* Synchronizes in both ways.
* Sync your calendars manually or automatically.
* Set up individual or global intervals for auto-sync.
* Set sync options depending on your network connection.

IMPORTANT: This app will lock itself after 20 days. After this trial-period, if you are satisfied with our software, please buy the unlocker to ensure future development of this app. You will find the unlocker app in the market (search for "ICSSync Unlocker").

What's Changed
In short:
* New feature: Import ICS-files (event invitations attached to e-mails) to calendars.
* Quite a few bug-fixes.
Time flys and unfortunately there was not much left to properly support ICSSync. We're really sorry for that!
However, we managed to address most reported issues and come up with a new feature that allows you to import ics event-invitations that are attached to e-mails. We recommend to use K9 Mail for that from version 4.301 upwards.

Really nice ad to my calendar... I can set the update interval and keep my online bookings easily updated and quick to see. I uninstalled ICSSync and just tried using Google calendar without it, but it wasn't keeping up with my schedule changes so I reinstalled and am back. I'm not a techy and was very happy with the quick and easy download no sweat install setup. As soon as I opened my calendar app it was there ready to be synced. One tap and my entire schedule was in for the next three months (all current bookings). I'm very pleased with it.

It works. Simple yet fully functional. The only flaw is that syncing takes such a looong time...

I use the app to point at an Office 365 calendar. I point my Google calendar there too but Google updates so infrequently that I often miss events that are added to the calendar within the last day or so. The one problem with this app that I've noticed is the documented bug where it doesn't handle DST correctly for recurring events. Hopefully they'll have this fixed soon.

Using ICSDroid instead. On my Nexus 5x it throws error: net.fortuna.ical4j.data.ParserException: Error at line 1:Expected [BEGIN], read [<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC ].

Been using so long that can't count and if I could sing I would sing praises of this app worth every single penny plus couple more!! Now if someone would come out with a stand alone ics calendar!!! Have been using for about 6 months now and they have worked out the bugs and it of fantastic I have a qnap device with webdav so no goggle needed!!!

It actually works with my Galaxy S6. No complaints, worth the $4. cons: Be careful to exit app properly or it won't update feeds.

I need to have my tablet sync with my office email and this is the only way this can happen. Ideally it would include a diary user interface.

It just works, not like some other syncing apps... Too bad it's not free ;) But the price is quite reasonable, so I'll buy it anyway.

Thank you for the awesome software!!!

Bug: Manual sync won't work unless bg data is enabled. Bug: will auto sync even if that option is not selected.

Inefficient and inflexible .ics file parsing. Poor support. Poor license management. Auto sync does not work.

It simply works.

This essential app should have come bundled with Android. If you use Sunbird/Lightning, or any other ICS based WebDav calendar, this is probably the *only* way you can ever make use your Android device for calendaring. There are glitches here and there, as in most other apps, but the developers are responsive and the app is overall reliable.

M70%
by M####:

I use it to sync with home calendar hosted on webdav server. It does it's job well, but is prone to the occasional crash that halts automatic syncing until Android OS is rebooted.

M70%

Yeh. A simple ics calendar data provider that works with existing android calendar apps. Love it. Google, why don't you have this built into the platform???

Couldn't get the app to load my calendar, complained about a parser error but the calendar is readable by other applications.

Q70%
by Q####:

Great sync with my calendars. No crashes at all for me. It needs setting for default reminders. No reminders get set so I don't get the event alerts on my phone. I'd like to see a setting where I can set a default reminder time (e.g. 10 minutes) for all sync'd events. Then, I'd like to be able to change the reminder time for one event and have that reminder time persist for all following syncs.

Syncs with my published Office 365 calendar, without my outlook account integrated with my phone.

Works, but first it gives you "critical error" message, you will have to close the message and then it will work. Honestly I do not mind purchasing the full version but would like to see this bug fixed first.

Finally, an app that allows me the functionality of having my .ics WebDav calendars with me on my Android wherever I go. Simple, easy to use and best of all, I don't have to go through Google for syncing. The support is great... the devs were quick to get back to me on troubleshooting a minor issue!

Quite a disappointment that the app apparently does not work on Nexus 7 jellybean. Works fine on my htc one x phone with its Android calendar.

S70%

Shows details of ics files but doesn't show any calendars to add it to. The app needs to be updated to work with latest android software, maybe?
