I don't have to run to the truck and get the paper version... It will be nice if we can change screen and font color...bookmark feature .. Im just saying...is this consider bells and whistles

Not worth the money. Payed for it, all it does is crash. I want an app that works. Or my money back. It's a joke buy beer and teach your apprentice right.

Z70%
by Z####:

I agree with many if the other reviewers regarding the search engine. The search engine should be updated to include layers, categories, and similars... That way we can continually break down the search from broad to specific.

Z70%
by Z####:

Very handy tool. Couple crashes every now and then. Much easier than carrying the book.

Z70%
by Z####:

The search engine should have trade slang added.

Z70%
by Z####:

A/C and Electrical the search should be narrowed to your specific needs it is too broad

Z70%

Quick references when needed for code situations, but have an ugly's book

Have been trying to get a refund since purchased. Clicked email developer and NFPA states to contact Google Play.

Add rop, roc, ul, tia, 2008, 2011, 2014, 2017, and better search options. Preferred the NECplus...but this has great potential.

Z70%

The most accessible and searcable version of the NEC I've used,

After extensive use I find that the "search" function could use updating. How about not automatically erasing a search each time... How about making it so that we can enter a broad search word, and then enter another search word to search within the search we just did. Also it would be nice if the search engine was smarter. Right now you need an exact word match. If something can have an "s" on the end then you need to do 2 searches in order to get all of the results (one with an s, and one without an s)

Search engine problems per other reviewers is right on. Otherwise, this is a 5 star product worth the investment. Also first screen upon opening should be Read the Code only, not Stay Informed, Stay in Touch options, etc.

I wanted the handbook... Can't refund now. Otherwise it's great. Just not the book I wanted.

K70%

Just one suggestion. Can you update the app to keep your search history saved. Also maybe make an option to highlight. Thank you.

K70%
by K####:

A search for "crawl space" will yield you zero results. That's just one of about 30 searches that get you useless or horrible results. Waste of time and money to buy this app. I've had this app for 3 months and now I'm getting a refund because I hate it so much. Please do not buy, but unfortunately there are very few alternatives in play store.

Would be much more helpful with bookmarks. And the search engine also need to be worked on. It searches for words literally but not as easy to find a phrase. That makes too many search results which takes time to look through. And the search history would help a lot.

I've recommended this to most electricians I meet while doing inspections. It;s a great way to continually have the NEC with you while on the job site. I like the ability to search in it. The only thing that would make this a better app would be if it came available in the NEC handbook version also.

I would give it 5 stars if there's was a way to put different book marks to know where u left off. I am studying this book for my journeyman exam so I'm reading everyday and sometimes I forget were I left off so I have to guess.

Everything you need all on your phone. I think it's even easier to find what you need compared to fumbling through the book. I still think you should own a hard copy but this great for on the go quick need to have info at your fingertips.

Having the NEC app is much easier to carry the NEC around. Verses having to lug around the NEC book. The search function is not very good. A bookmark feature would be nice.

Better than having the book to lug around

K70%
by K####:

I'm a journeyman and a planner for my companies solar installations. This app is a god send for me as I'm constantly having to lug the book around and fluttering through its abused pages in order to explain to the plan checker (whom has never read the damned book) that I am right. This app will allow me to remove the book from my laptop bag and replace it with even more useless paper work! ----- Downside is the apprentices will not be able to take this app with them when they take the test.

K70%
by K####:

Would like if the search feature wouldn't erase when selected. Often I just want to slightly edit my search... It erases and I must type everything in again.

K70%
by K####:

An excellent version of the NEC. Even better than the pdf code book. Only thing I would ask for would be a fixed header on the tables so, when you scroll, you can still see the categories.

K70%

The search engine should have trade slang added.

Love it! Better than the 2011 version

This app is so nice! Easy to access, laid out logically, and so much more portable, than the printed tome. The only thing I'd like to see at this point is the ability to swipe from article to article. Along those same lines, the 'back button' should then take you back to the TOC as opposed to back through every page you've already read. Great job!
