What are users saying about Naviki – the bicycle satnav

Nice and simple to plot the route, clear and easy to read on my phone. Very quick and helpful technical support.

U70%
by U####:

Superb. Worked out some great routes for me that were safe and pleasant. The map graphics are superb. I'm slightly puzzled as to how some people say they prefer Google maps as for me they're like light and dark. For cycling this is way better. I just wish it had the ability to finish route with walking so I could, if necessary, lock up my bike and finish the journey on foot. Other than that it is perfect.

U70%
by U####:

Just ok. Ridiculous sign up procedure. Took 10 minutes. But very good navigation

Q70%
by Q####:

Really terrible navigation compared to Google maps. I bought the road bike and turn by turn navigation because Google maps doesn't really do cycling routes in Italy. From Sorrento to Vesuvius it took me the most horrible possible route - for over a mile it wasn't even a road, I had to get off and carry my bike down loads of steps - and even on roads it would constantly tell me to make a turn but then say "you have left the route " when I took the correct turn. It meant that I had to constantly stop to double check the route on my phone, as I couldn't trust the instructions. Also a lot sorer on battery than it probably should be, meaning that I ran out of battery midway through a journey that I hadn't expected to.

A70%
by A####:

There is no support in app nor on website. I bought turn by turn voice navigation and it stopped working after 3 months

H70%
by H####:

The free version is doing what I expect to do. Finds good routes and has really detailed map material????

U70%
by U####:

So far, so good.

J70%
by J####:

No graba las rutas bien, solo tiene n cuenta los primeros 30 segundos, sin duda la versión de Windows phone es mejor.

G70%
by G####:

Awesome content, but the color palette of the maps is not very easy to read.

U70%

Excellent

Q70%

Used for European Cycling Challenge so used it for a full month, very out-dated and clunky to use. The main thing you need to do with a recorded trip is to save or pause but the menu is behind a small, unclear button. Will be uninstalling and using Strava once Challenge is over

U70%
by U####:

Poor imitation of other apps with less features and more bugs. Usage for Euro Cycling Challenge has been a disaster. EDIT - even worse at the end of the challenge, unknown to me I had been logged out of Naviki for days....

W70%
by W####:

Super App. Einfach zu bedienen, tolle Karten, zuverlässige Navigation

U70%
by U####:

Update: I've given this app a second and third go. Plenty of updates but still terrible. I hope ECC chose better app next year. (Original feedback)Downloaded to use for group comp, only recorded half of ride and then crashed. Map My Ride much better and I'll continue using that instead

U70%
by U####:

Gets better and better. I use it primarily for planning spontaneous round-trips with my racing bike. Suggestions are mostly very good. Turn-by-turn voice navigation works like a charm (at the beginning it was horrible, but after several updates it got really sophisticated), you don't need to look at the screen. Routes are also automatically recalculated if you take the wrong street. One suggestion for following update would be that you can change the language of the voice navigation (currently it uses system language oer default).

R70%
by R####:

Inaccurate and unreliable. I've been loosing few kilometres almost every time or sometimes even whole track. My gadget has GPS and Glonass and it has never happened when using sports tracker or locus map.

U70%
by U####:

This application is not as good as Strava. There is no button for stop recording. There is no button for finish ride, you have to press back button on your mobile. The save feature is unreliable where I had server errors on 2 rides. You cant use UK post codes as start and finish points on the route planner.

R70%
by R####:

Ok, maybe this app isn't the best bike tracker out there, but at least it gets updated frequently (thanks for google login fix)

U70%
by U####:

Not sure if it's working every time. Sometimes shows only part of my bike ride.

G70%
by G####:

Wanted to record some rides all was fine until one day I've noticed that my list of rides looked pretty small. Seems that after an update lost the data.

O70%
by O####:

Wen the login screen comes up it is blank no where to input my login details

U70%
by U####:

Despite statements to the contrary, routes still aren't being saved to cloud. Routes still showing phone icon. App just updated a couple of days ago too.

U70%
by U####:

Find it hard to use. Not sure of its working.

G70%
by G####:

Discard button too close to save button.

J70%
by J####:

Unreliable and inaccurate.

B70%
by B####:

Would be nice if default save was private not public.

B70%
by B####:

Alles gut

M70%
by M####:

Rubbish, the automatic routing presents the wrong route - why would anyone take the route it suggests. When saving a trip I get a Java error. Error .java.error. socket. How on earth did this APP get selected for European Cycling Challenge? Last year App and Web interface was much better by miles.

U70%
by U####:

This app drains the battery extremly quickly. It would not last for the dyration of my commute. I had problems registering my username, the error messages were very unhelpful. I had also problems with logging in. Interface is rather poor: how does one stop recording the ride? How one can upload rides from another app for the European cycle challenge. This app put me off partaking in the challenge in the end. I wonder how much money EU has wasted on it?

U70%
by U####:

It is impossible to import routes over android app. The Web page has some wrong translations and some translated links redirect to localhost server. The app should be able to sync activities with most used apps like Endomondo or Strava.

U70%
by U####:

Endomondo is much better. This has many issues of which you can read below and below and below... the good thing is that you can import gpx from endomondo and use for ecc 2017. 3.58.4 fix is still not effective.

D70%
by D####:

If not ECC2017 I would trash this app instantly. On the first trip the route was not recorded: 0km, 0kmph. Reasons unknown. On the second it shows that during my ride I've challenged the elevation of almost 200m and reached the top speed of 57km/h - both measures are totally not true. UX is horrible, user has no confirmation of any action. List of trips is super unfriendly. I can't find option to delete the recorded trip of 0km. Finding ECC2017 contest through the menu is a complete missunderstanding. Rankings have no charts and they are very pure. Navigation is very bad - suggesting me to jump off in the middle of a bridge, etc. I only wonder how this horrible app made to be the official one for ECC2017 ...

U70%
by U####:

Excellent app! Works perfectly for the ECC challenge. Cannot understand all the moaning

V70%
by V####:

Installed because of ECC 2017. Not bad, but I only use it for tracking, where it lacks a few features for me: cannot set default ride type and privacy, no auto pause feature.

U70%
by U####:

The worst program i have never ever seen like it ..... toooooo baaad

J70%
by J####:

Can't login through Google oauth because you don't know they blocked your method. Good job

U70%
by U####:

Serving ads and adding premium features looks a bit greedy

U70%
by U####:

The app needs optimisation. The routes i'm doing are not saving, and it doesn't have a way to work in background. Also it drains the battery. Good luck.

U70%
by U####:

The app has an error when saving routes

U70%
by U####:

Its my first app and it has what i need. Im satisfied enough to still use it.
