LayerPaint HD for Android
The good is that the developer is working on this app regularly. The bad is that the interface is overly complicated and clunky and there aren't many brush styles or tools for professional results. I wasn't wowed by the PSD import feature which doesn't seem to recognize these files of not created by the program and not Adobe software. Needs a lot more work to become a contender to ArtFlow which is still my go to art app. I'm not giving up on this though, it has potential.
Update, it's 4 years I use it and is still the best tool for digital painting on android, the developer is keeping it alive with regular improvements! Very stable and good performance on bigger files. Together with snapseed allow to do pro work on android.
Doesn't have line straightening ability, can't import more one image per canvas no matter how many layers you have open. Just a general pain in the bum to use
this app is awsome. you really can create great stuff with this. please check out on deviant art danfrancis17 and you can see what I have produced from this app. I have used the app more of a canvas and just use the stylus to make colour., I have not experimented with effects or the features the app offers. you can share file and save as photoshop file which in turn allows for great printouts
One of the best, if not the best art program available for android devices with wacom stylus screen. Great for sketching on the go, and can be used to make high quality artwork without too much extra effort compared to tabletop solutions, as well. Excellent value for the price.
It has lots of feautures.....but draw okay
I don't know if my emails really reached them, but the devs of this app appear to never response to feedback emails. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Anyway the current app is just fine. 6/10
It's so good, i love the features and stuff. This is the best
Layerpaint HD pushes the boundaries of what is possible for middle-market tablets, such as the Galaxy Note S-pen tablet 2014 Edition, which I have been using for two years. Certainly there are still better platforms yet to bring Layerpaint HD to, such as the 12.9" iPad Pro, with its superior stylus, the Apple Pencil. But even within the limits of an older technology, Layer paint HD genuinely expands the possible for the artist in you. Compared with other apps in its category, Layerpaint HD is without equal. Other applications restrict themselves to basic artistic functions, such as I heartily recommend this product, now and in the future. Stay tuned for what comes next.
One of the best art apps I've used hands down. Great for pixel and traditional art. If I had one request, it would be for coordinates of the pen location so I can accurately center my lines and pixels.
Most other drawing software has the ability to use your fingers to rotate the canvass. Layer paint HD lacks this ability and it's a major flaw. The only way to rotate the canvass is by using the navigator tool and that's annoying. Not recommended.
I've been using this app for years and its the best.
It's a great painting app. Being able to work with high resolution canvas is pretty amazing. I just wish the user interface would be more like ArtFlow. More "smartphone friendly" if that makes sense...
This is my go to digital painting app for my tablet. It handles the best compared to many of the main stream art apps. It makes me feel like im on my wacom with photoshop. I keep trying new apps and always come back to this one.
Its a great app
This is my go-to workhorse image app. Wish menu options were spread out across the top of screen instead of listed in a single menu button. Otherwise, it does almost everything you can get on a desktop design program for a fraction of the price. It's amazing!
Great app! I can work on high res. Images with very little to no lag! Amazing for an android tablet app. Definately worth the money. The app even has an option in setting to decrease viewing res. By 50% to reduce lag and speed up drawing process for higher res. Images! I am also loving the customizable brushes in this app, they are beautiful! You can also add your own brushes, which is amazing! I have tried and still try out many other drawing and painting apps and Layerpaint HD always is my go to app, outperforming the others in so many ways.
I wish you would add some easy controls to switch between layers to make only one visible at a time, in a sort of flipbook style, to facilitate work for animators. I've been using this for years and feel this would move the app ahead.
Has the most features I care about among competitors, but still a lot of half measures there: s pen support with specified input controls, but no side switch input/control overloading. allows for importing/exporting psds but really lackluster file management saved in a needlessly proprietary format (I'd love to see dropbox connectivity at least, as well as native file type options/modes). Most recently they seem to have started to add suppprt for photoshop guides without much of an announcement of such, & now when I imported my matrix psd with slice guides every cell, the guides came with it, only issue being it's an unsupported feature, & nothing will clear them: not even making a new document. There's no real in app support aside from the review system here, so with a little luck: a little help there? Am I just supposed to purge all app settings every time I finish something imported with guides now?
good
Crashes whenever I attempt to open a previous project. Nice to know I can only work on a layout once.

Thank you Natto. UI choice makes a huge difference for me. Any chance to add a Color layer, so filled with black everything below would show as black and white, and as you lower the opaqeness of that layer, you would be rasing the saturation of the color? Keep up the good work.
Great. I wish it had more tools to facilitate use but it's a good app.
This app is great for working on-the-go, and the ability to import/export PSDs makes it easy to go back and forth from my Note 7 to my PC. Is there a way to change brush modes? Multiply, dodge, burn, etc?
By far the best app of its kind. Great selection of brushes and customization ability. And will only get better with the regular updates. The new brush scripts are great. I bought this app before medibang paint was even released in English and was only a Japanese app for concept sketching with limited colors. And I continue to use this app over it. Being able to create bitmaps for new brushes is my favorite part about this app. As far as I know sketchbook pro does not allow the user to do this.
More brushes!
hot stuff
It has it all, feels like Sai for android. l love you guys for keep making it better! Are there plans to add the layer mode "color" any time soon?
When stylus buttons will be configurable?
Great software. Worked amazingly with my Note 4.
Brushes work just like photoshop or clip studio, they don't constantly layer and instead build with pressure. Be sure to enable "reduce resolution" works perfectly after.
This was working fine until yesterday but whenever I try to upload my finished drawing a blank page just shows up and I don't know what to do. 1 star until it's fixed.
I've been using this app for years and its the best.

NONEXISTENT SUPPORT. I like the interface but there's a lot missing that's in MediBang, which it appears to be a clone of, and people, MediBang is a FREE app! MediBang has a free desktop version you can exchange files AND brushes with! The app has good potential but needs more. And no tech support despite paying for this app? Sent email to address listed. Never got a response. This is all too common on the Android platform, with support ranging from lacklustre to nonexistent. There should be a system to report developers who don't respond to support requests. In this case, it seems support is nonexistent. You take my money but you ignore my emails? Shame on you. I've given you three stars because your app could be good - but not if you don't bother with paying customers!!!
One of the best art apps I've used hands down. Great for pixel and traditional art. If I had one request, it would be for coordinates of the pen location so I can accurately center my lines and pixels.
But can you add blur option? I can't find it so far. . .
Excellent easy-to-use interface with loads of features. Features are as close to photoshop as you will get! Only negative is the finger / smudge tool which doesn't blend tones together as smoothly as the other apps (sketchbook and artflow). However I just discovered that you can get around this by using the watercolor brush with a low paint load and high paint mix setting.

I hope to this app can rotate canvas
