What are users saying about MyPOD Podcast Manager Free

Z70%
by Z####:

This app's player has horrible sound quality. Navigation is a chore and unintuitive. The downloads are invisible to other players even the android default. Don't waste your time.

O70%
by O####:

Too buggy. Excellent features. When it's finished it's going to be great. When it's finished.

T70%
by T####:

This app was fine and I used for three good years - until the recent update which made it unusable! Uninstalled it after the third time it attempted to download every single episode of every podcast I subscribe to. Avoid like the plague, this is now one seriously terrible app. A shame, but I don't know why you'd bring out an unusable upgrade. If I could award zero stars I would for the upgraded app. Woeful!

R70%
by R####:

Not the most intuitive but very flexible and powerful

T70%
by T####:

Yes I do. I would have given 5 stars if only I could choose to save files to my ext sd card. I paid for unlock and it's not really as complex as it first appears. But then I am a podcast junkie who missed her Zune. 27 podcast player apps later I choose this as IT. :-)

W70%
by W####:

The recent forced upgrade is awful. Absolutely awful. I'm not sure if I should go back to the old one or just give up. Uggh. All of the complaints that everybody else is writing about apply.

S70%
by S####:

A seriously awesome update. This is soo much better. I have been a user for 4 years and love the options you get with this app. Thanks for all the hard work. Give it a go I say ... I am like the changes don't listen to naysayers.

X70%
by X####:

Its good. But there is a MAJOR issue that needs fixing. And that is deleting podcasts files. For me it just puts them in a "trash can" in the app so it can be restored if i wish.. but itstill takes up space on my phone when i neeed that space for other stuff! No way to empty said "trash can" so now I have to delete them manualy... this a major problem. It just fills up my phone

M70%
by M####:

Cannot delete from listened regardless of how many times you hit delete. The only option in the menu is "flags" or "playlist". There is no way to empty the trashcan. Please stop telling people they can just use the old version, if you revert to the old version then it just gets over written in the next update. "V2 is better" is only your opinion, given the reviews I'm reading, everyone else thinks V1 is better.

M70%
by M####:

The new version is better than the old one just takes some getting used to good job guys love it

M70%
by M####:

The interface on v2 is absolutely horrible. I'm going back to v1 , which is slightly buggy, but understandable.

M70%
by M####:

Will not work. when I try to play anything it gives an error message. The old version was much better.

M70%
by M####:

I used to use the older version. When I upgraded it took me a bit to get used to the new interface, but now I'm used to it and like it even more than the old.

R70%
by R####:

The old version was easier to use. Can't even find my old podcasts that were waiting to be played. Now I need to find a new podcast player and downloader. What a disappointment

R70%
by R####:

V2 has problems. Doesn't auto download, auto adds episodes to playlists even tho settings should mean they don't and i cant add feed urls or find popular podcasr feeds. Some help offered to start but i give up as v1 was goid... going back to v1.

R70%
by R####:

Beta is not working for me on first try 1/26/2015. It's jammed on downloading. Nothing I can do cancels it. How can I go back to the version I know and love?

R70%
by R####:

Go back to the old version. New version sucks

U70%
by U####:

For about 1 week MyPOD has been continuously updating... But never competes. Get error "-505"

W70%
by W####:

I liked the app, but had playback issues. Specifically, when I would stop and restart playback, the app seemed to forget where I was in the program. Usually, playback resumed from the beginning. Also, upon finishing a podcast, the app would sometimes loop back to the start of the podcast I just finished instead of going to the next podcast in my play list. On the positive side, I liked how new podcasts were automatically downloaded.

X70%
by X####:

This was my podcast player for nearly two years! I liked it so much, I bought the unlock key. But lately it crashes constantly! If you stop the podcast, it starts from the beginning. It never did that before. I have found another podcast player. Bye Mypod. It was good while it lasted.

R70%
by R####:

I never sync my phone with a desktop machine so this phone-basec podcatcher is absolutely critical. Its rock solid and works great.

R70%
by R####:

Sent an email and they responded right away. Best podcast app out there

R70%
by R####:

Crippleware, unable to store more than ten feeds.

S70%
by S####:

I would rate this free version of the app much higher if they fixed a few dealies. 1) the app doesn't properly mute when my phone is muted. 2) if I pause a file mid listen, then start it back up after using other programs, the file is still queued up, but will start over instead of continuing off from the last played part. 3) kinda goes along with 2, but when pulling a file back up after pausing and coming back from other programs, the player automatically starts. Other than that, awesome.

R70%
by R####:

App doesn't work. There is no option to manually type in a podcast feed address, and search is broken.

R70%
by R####:

I haven't found a pod car tool that I love yet, but this one is pretty good.

R70%
by R####:

Can't wait for the new UI! I use CONSTANTLY for audio podcasts!

X70%
by X####:

As I get more practice setting up the feeds and using the player, I like it more. For example, if I want to see files organized by a certain source, I view feeds, pick the one, then view files- then it shows just that list only. Quite nice. Still trying to figure out the point of a foreground and background player... :-P

V70%
by V####:

This app does exactly what it was supposed to. Couldn't ask for more

A70%
by A####:

Not the most intuitive but very flexible and powerful

Q70%

Urgently needs a UI overhaul but does the job

Q70%
by Q####:

Yes I do. I would have given 5 stars if only I could choose to save files to my ext sd card. I paid for unlock and it's not really as complex as it first appears. But then I am a podcast junkie who missed her Zune. 27 podcast player apps later I choose this as IT. :-)

S70%

Really nice & highly detailed podcast app!

N70%
by N####:

Love it

U70%
by U####:

Unable to find podcats instead returns fake results (same results regardless of words used)

V70%
by V####:

But the UI is the worst I've ever seen in any app. Please don't take it personally, it's a clutter. ---- And one star less because of Start at boot permission—it can seldom be justified, there are workarounds to avoid slowing my phone's startup

P70%
by P####:

Unlike a dozen other podcast apps I've tried even some I've paid for cuz I thought they were the best. That's past tense. This ugly lil app just works. Without needing to be pretty doing it! If U want a fashionable app get an iPhone. If you're more interested in function this app does it!

D70%
by D####:

When I switched to Android I tried several podcast managers and MyPod impressed me. I even tried a few new podcast apps when I got my new phone and went right back to MyPod. It's user-friendly, highly customizable, and I find a lot of great content. Good work!

R70%
by R####:

I wanted somthing to replace G's Listen. This app is obtuse, unstable and a pain. Besides the feed cap paywall it randomly locks up my audio service (on an updated stock GS3) doesn't download podcasts, I can't even move my dowloaded files after upgrading devices. The settings confused and why do I need to audio services (forground, background/preview) on the same app? Doesn't get a 1 star only because it was free.

S70%
by S####:

Excellent! Easy to use, fully featured and free. I don't know why people would complain about the UI, its not hard to use.
