Firefox Focus: The privacy browser

Firefox Focus: The Privacy Browser is FAST... REALLY FAST! Admittedly, I use this as a secondary browser to the "regular" Firefox browser - but because Firefox Focus: The Privacy Browser works so well, I find myself using it more and more. If you don't rely on synchronized bookmarks (the primary reason I personally continue to use the "regular" version of Firefox), then THIS is the browser you want installed on your mobile device... But if you rely on synchronized bookmarks (and other data), then you'll probably want to wait until they update "regular" Firefox with this sort of performance.

Focus is truly an amazing product from the Mozilla family. For people who commented of getting a tab view and bookmark, just think of what the purpose of this browser and this is not designed for a day to day browsing experience..Please think for a bit before commenting and complaining.. understand the purpose of this browser..i would say thanks to the Mozilla team for such a great product.

Really proud to see such a great app from non-profit Mozilla! Not only does it raise consciousness amongst users about privacy, but also it acts as a solid no compromise choice to the privacy concerned. I'm inspired by Mozilla's mission... Coming from the IRL podcast about net neutrality.

I like this much more now that I've used it to go to a couple websites without having to log in and still be able to see everything. Still wish it had at least some bookmarks, but it does give a few choices of sites you've gone to.

Very nice, small and effective package. I find most browsers too heavy in size (looking at you, chrome) and prefer to use small browsers. The only thing that I miss in this is tabbed browsing

Fast and secure. What else do you really need? I'd hate to see this app bloat to include unimportant features.

Was excited when I heard of this browser. I was disappointed when the first thing I did was search and it routed search through Yahoo. Most people today know that Yahoo logs searches, and they forward the search through Bing. Bing then also logs search and meta-data. I will rate better when search goes through a non-tracking search engine.

Avoid. Mozilla is sending data from this app to a third party by default and is being deceptive about it. Google search for a review of 'Firefox focus' and 'ghack' to read about it.

This is by far the best private browser. You can erase all of your browsing data just by pressing a button. If you forget to clear your data, you can clear it through the notification. If that wasn't enough, the design is sleek and lightweight. This has been my first experience using a Firefox browser, and there's a very good chance it won't be my last. Thank you.

Best browser I have used till date. Amazing privacy and ad blocking - guaranteed !! Only one request to the developers - please add multi tab support. I know it is a lot to ask because of the small size but it'll be great it yo do so.

The new update fixes the issue with videos. It has given my old HP Touchpad a very useful lightweight and a capable browser. Thanks Mozilla!! All I want is a capability to add new search providers like Bing.

A great fast lightweight app that does exactly what it says on the tin. I disagree that it needs tabs, I think keeping it small and simple is best. My only improvement would be an option get rid of the "erase browsing history" notification. Perhaps have an option to do that automatically when closing the app.

Getting better and better but still needs true full screen browsing that hides the status bar and software buttons when browsing. Otherwise very fast browser with a nice looking UI.

Best light browser to browse something fast and privately. Please stay the same but with its features inproved, not bloated with unnecessary things that will make it no different than normal browser.

A great privacy centered mobile browser. Let's hope future versions incorporate design features from the Tor Uplift Project. Also, they really need to include searching within a page.

Finally the app added full screen video support and download support. These features have made the app my default browser.... And also made me give it 5 stars...now the only thing left is adding a bookmark system ...and it would be really amazing if you could add VPN integration in the app as well.... Keep the good work up:)

I absolutely love it. Finally a browser that is very fast on mobile phones. Plus I can now quickly delete all my browser history and not have followers. It's the BEST!!!

Looks nice, and I respect for what it stands (compact/efficient, more private); but can't set default search engine to Bing (my preference).

Instantly become my default browser! Browse faster and no more annoying pop up ads. Haven't try with lots of website, but so far it render most website correctly.

Great browser ...but i can't take screenshots when i am in this app.It shows "Taking screenshot is not allowed by thr app or your organisation".what should i do now

I loved playing with this browser today. Finally a browser that truly protects your privacy. The ad blocking is phenomenal coupled with superior anti spying and analytics. I feel safe and secure. This browser was perfect for today's tasks and see myself using it down the road. I was searching for hotels, flights, cars, for a trip down to Savannah for a wedding. As a result of this app and all it's wonderful toys baked in. You don't have the usual price fluctuations you see when you visit the same or different sites. Read between the lines. I'm not going to outright state what it fixes. For the big boys and their Algorithims will pick up and fix the glitch somehow. Now for the major glitch/negative which is absent. Or I somehow missed it. This is the reason why I held back my rating. If I missed it somehow I do apologize. Immediately add the ability to open more than one browser window!! My interpretation of immediately is working overtime day in day out with conviction until this becomes reality. It's imperative this browser can open more than a single tab at once! When this fix becomes reality, I will not only give Focus the 5 star rating it deserves. But I will also switch from my beloved Samsung browsers. I was pleasantly surprised by Focus I'm not partial to the UI of regular Firefox or Chrome browser's. So it would be a big deal for me to switch. It has the simple UI of the Samsung browser. If you could please engineer Focus to have similar tabs as Samsung or what Windows OS had without infringing on copyrights and trademarks it would be phenomenal. Better yet, have a live tile like function that allows you to see the ongoing blocking if the baddies trying to steal your personal data as you toggle between Apps and tasks. I apologize for any and all misspelling's throughout this post. Thanks to Android Nougat. Spell check, predictive text, and the ability to delete incorrect wording has gone out the window on every keyboard I've tried. Nougat broke it on Note 5s.

I would like to save bookmarks. But it's still a great privacy browser. Wonder if they will make a desktop browser?

Minimalistic mobile browser that blocks ads and is fast for web surfing. Definitely worth the download for people who are tired of ads in a browser.

Set as my default browser. Would be great to see HTTPS everywhere to rival Brave. Apart from that keep it this minimal. No need for tabs or bookmarks. Perfect.

I think there are some things which is missing like adblock and when I play video then it shows for download it means that I can't play some videos online please fix this

I suggest changing the function while pressing the persistent notification. The button should erase the browsing history while pressing the whole notification should open the app.

Move the Goddamned wipe button so i don't erase everything when i'm merely attempted to write a Twitter post, for Christ's sake

It's too slow. This is very surprising considering it blocks ads.

Works well, quick answer compact browser. Recommend it to family and friends. Still use Chrome primarily but this is nice to have as well.

So far so good works very smoothly and I have had no issues. Pages load very fast. I have only used it a short time but my experience so far has been very positive!

Doesn't block pop-ups that open new windows or redirect, backspacing only reloads the page with as meaning you cannot get back to the original website.
