UltraSonic

Very good app overall, but since I have an LG V10, I installed the MusicFX app to open up the built in Android Sound FX. Unfortunately, Ultrasonic doesn't have a means to get to the Android Sound FX in order to modify them so I'm stuck with the basic MusicFX setting and can't modify it. Would like an update to Ultrasonic so I can get to these settings.

Works great on goole pixel, connecting to libresonic container on linux docker. Great work, recommended for E.

Great app, but does anyone know a fix for the shuffle glitch? It resets the playlist every time the phone is tilted or the screen is turned on/off...

Would be nice if this app asked for write permissions, as is now supported on Android M. Cache settings feature is available but doesn't work. No way to Grant permissions to write to the SD card, because it doesn't ask permissions in a modern way.

This app is good. Would be great but skips bad on LG phones (like mine)

Still not fixed!!! Cache location does not works on Nougat!!! . "/storage/????-????/Music" as i understand it has it root back to kitkat. A checkbox /sdcard/Music would be nice.

I love the interface but I've switched to dsub for the Chromecast support

Best android app for Subsonic. Don't like that you took the Star icon/function and playlist toggle away from the now playing screen and placed them exclusively in the context menu with the new update. This makes it easy to accidentally unstar a song since you can't tell if it's starred from the now playing album cover screen. Also would be nice if the player included the album year in the song info. Minor nitpicks. Overall a great app.

So far no complaints. I would like to see a better random playlist creation, and ability to download said playlist to cache so you can avoid data costs by loading it up on Wi-Fi. Good otherwise. Cheers

I misjudged this app because of a bad server configuration. It's actually excellent. If only I could find a quick "clear cache" button, it would be perfect. I do have a gripe with this app in that it sometimes suddenly ignores the volume settings and blasts at full volume, even when I lower media volume all the way to mute. This happens fairly frequently.

Coming along nicely. Would like to have 'random play' within folder, genre or artist. Unfortunately, it seems that development on this app has stalled. Pity.

Very nice all wondering if you could add local up address to server config. So when I'm on my home WiFi it uses that and when I'm out it uses the main. DSub has this option.

Sure you can play from an alternate folder, but try downloading from your server to that folder. It won't work. Dev needs to implement a "grant access" or something similar to other apps to allow you to download to your external SD card. See ES File Explorer and how it handles external permissions.

Does the job well. One small fault is that it starts a whole new shuffled playlist if you rotate your device... I've seen so many apps not maintain state through rotation that I would have thought this was in the top 5 of tests for apps now that rotating screens are the norm. Shame.

I'll give this app another shot in 6 months. Features I'd like to see: sortable/searchable video files, support for ampache podcasts and radio stations, add/remove podcast and radio stations.

It's got a nice enough UI, but it crashed all the time. I could usually play through about 3 songs before the app would stop. Shuffle would sometimes play the same song multiple times which was annoying, though I rarely got to hear the second play because the app crashed by then. Certain albums appeared out of order; I have no idea why, because all the tags were correct and they worked fine in other apps. It also ate up almost all my battery before crashing. It sounds like it works great for other people, maybe it was just my Nexus 4. At least its free.

I love subsonic. Was using a different free app that could not handle Google maps or any notification. This app correctly allows directions to be played. On top of that it has more features I didn't even know I missed.

Does this all have the ability to write to the external_SD card? Not working for me.

The only missing option for me is to set different songs count to preload for Wi-Fi and mobile.

Love the client and glad it's back. Only complaint is that the lyrics almost never pull back the right song or even artist. I have all my id3 tags correct so not sure what the issue is.

Good stuff

This app borrows a lot from the other subsonic app, but you have to open the side bar to access different tabs and its just overall less fluent in use. I'd give this a higher rating if it was the only subsonic app, but its really unnecessary at the moment. I might try it again if it gets updated
