Advanced functions

The installation of the Should I Answer application is not difficult. Just download it from the Google Play store and even your grandma can use it :-) . The graphical interface is user-friendly and enables you to easily gain all the necessary information about respective numbers or to write your own ratings.

For more advanced users we have prepared further functions:

-> The app is personalized by your Google mail account. Thanks to this you lose no data even after changing the phone for a new one.
-> All your data (ratings, reviews, app settings) can be easily downloaded and imported under different user account.
-> The level of protection can be adjusted exactly according to your demand: from simple warning against the unsolicited call up to blocking it.
-> The application can even block hidden, foreign or premium numbers and allows you to create your own block list.
-> The app can protect you even off-line. If you need to update the local database it waits for the right moment when connected to the wi-fi. Only if you don’t connect for a longer time it will ask you to update the database using your mobile data.

Well, how does it work?

All the numbers on our pages/in the local database were rated by the users from their own real experience (based on real calls), the daily number of new reviews is more than 10.000. The reviews are firstly gathered on our server and after the administrator check and approval then sent to the local database of your Should I Answer application with daily database update.

You don’t have to be worried about your privacy with us - your private numbers stay always hidden in your mobile, we never use them for public presentation or processing, we care only about new, unknown calls (and if we find out that someone has written a review for personal number, we try to delete it ASAP).


If the app is for free so what is your profit?

Our main target when creating this application was to make a tool to fight against unfair telemarketing and unsolicited calls. That’s why the app is for free: our only income are the advertisements displayed on the web pages www.shouldianswer.net (and the other related), the adds directly shown in the application (just one one page – the reviews page) or voluntary donations from our users.


Can I get rid of the adds in the application?

We want you to be really satisfied with the application so the adds are displayed on one single place in the app. But there is a good message for voluntary contributors: just send us any contribution and the adds will disappear once forever (and this is also the second reason for pairing the app with your Google account – we need to remember who has sent any contribution already).
