المؤلف : عبد الرحمن بن محمد بن أحمد بن قدامة المقدسي الجماعيلي الحنبلي، شمس الدين، أبو الفرج، فقيه، من أعيان الحنابلة، ولد في دمشق سنة (597هـ)، وهو أول من ولي قضاء الحنابلة بها، استمر فيه نحو 12 عامًا، ولم يتناول عليه معلومًا ثم عزل نفسه، وتوفي في دمشق (682هـ).
