Manta Sync

Manta Sync client for Android. Provides a synchronized data source for applications to use.

The Manta Project is an JSON synchronization protocol, server, and client, that is designed to make local databases accessible anywhere. Simply set up the Upload agent on a machine that has access to your SQL database, provide a few SELECT statements in a config file, and Manta takes care of the rest, making that data available in an offline, native fashion on your Android device.

Manta is open source, and anyone can start building applications with offline data.

On its own, this Manta Sync application does not do anything: apps must be built around Manta for this utility to be useful.

Current applications that use Manta Sync for Android include Simple MFI, a productivity tool for microfinance loan officers.
