About TriviaLock Parental Control
Get your kids to brush up on math or geography as they play games on their tablets or read their friends' Facebook updates on their smartphones. You can "lock" their most frequently used apps to get them to answer a couple questions in a range of topics. The more they play, watch or chat - the more they learn! Parents might enjoy putting the app on their own smart devices, too -- do you remember where Iowa is, what is the capital of North Dakota, or who won the World Series in 2001?
Written by the parents for the parents. Full parental control over which apps are locked, how frequently they relock, and what types and number of questions that the kids have to answer. The "control center", where all these settings are set, is password-protected.
* Pick which applications to lock, whether to relock each app and how often. When an application is "locked", kids (or adults) will have to answer questions to open it; if relocking is set as well, they will have to answer more questions after every 10 minutes (or whatever number you set).
* Choose how many questions to ask each time - we default to 3 questions each time, and how many questions they are allowed to get wrong before they have to wait 30 seconds to retry
* Set a password override, so you could bypass the questions by entering a password (which your kids would not know) - helpful for adult users who sometimes want to "cheat"
* Choose the topic and types of questions:
- Math: addition, multiplication to 10 or 15, division, simple equations, and more
- US Geography: US states on the map, US state capitals
- Trivia: World Series winners
- more modules coming soon!
* You (or your kids) can also play the TriviaLock game - just go into the TriviaLock application and choose "Play". You will get questions in the chosen categories and the app will keep track of your right and wrong answers.
* See daily, monthly and overall progress reports for each type of question. You will see how many questions they got right, and how many they got wrong for each category.

I'm not uusin it tuo limit children, nor as AppLock replacement, since correct answer will unlock the application :) I'm using this to learn, though it's very limited... I only enabled it to games and some informative guides/eBook's, etc., but I'll use AppLock application for applications like AquaMail, SSH-client VX ConnectBot, Drive, Stina, etc. NEGATIVE: 1) Despite what yanks think, there's more on earth than USA - and, nope, the rest of the world isn't minor part in comparison. Think if I had created this app, and while I had translated it to English (in addition to my own native language) and ask geographical material was from nothing but Finland. *) Create similar optional question sets of different continents (and remember that Nordic countries are not European, and of those countries, Finland is not part of Scandinavia, but we are all part of EU, while some European countries aren't. There could be a question like this: Which of the following group a Nordic country whose capital is Helsinki belong to? 1) Europe, 2) EU, 3) Scandinavia, 4) Russian Federation :D 2) Too easy mathematical quizzes - since you've made all freely selectable, why not add everything from slightly harder to university sh*t. 3) More subjects than geography and math. 5) Finally, for game, add time limit for every n+1 questions that you must get right - keep score, and while just 1 point for each right could be enough, but consider decreasing 1 point for each wrong answer, and maybe bonus point for really fast correct answer. Every new level should have time limit, smaller for each (let's say there's a countdown timer that is reset after every 10 correct answers. * Finally: a highscore list!
