Linphone for Android
Is open source and has ongoing development as of 2018. I usually use csipsimple though its no longer updated. This app works OK but the notification doesn't stay persistently and as a result incoming calls are missed.
Excellent voice quality thanks for making this app
Much better then skype, only a pity that most people stick to skype.
Tried a few other sip phones before going with Linphone and I like it - good good UI, sound volume, call quality and stability. But because it doesn't alert me to voicemails or missed calls I've reluctantly changed to CSipSimple. Can't comment on how good it is for multiple accounts as I only use one right now.
Quite nice and useable, but the image of the front facing camera is too dark. You can only see some shapes.
Unfortunately an app does not keep password saved.Every time I have to enter it again and again.So,uninstalling.
Well its back working normal with the registration which its good to see and it would be nice if it supported encryption :-)
Unfortunately the app doesn't trigger vibra for incoming calls
Good app
Had worked for me flawlessly for over a year. Got new phone with a Android 7.0 a few days ago, app no longer works. Not sure if it's a problem with the app or the OS, but my settings still have not changed. Will improve review once it starts working again. For clarification, registration works, but calling does not. SIP calling over mobile network only, not tested on wifi.
USE LINPHONE FROM FDROID (ON THE WEB) IS BETTER. GOOGLE IS A TROJAN. THIS IS OPEN SOURCE TECH, AND WORKS EASILY, WHILE OTHERS ARE COMPLICATED AND OFTEN DON'T WORK.
With the latest version having issues hearing the caller upon picking up a call, losing registration... actually lots of operations. Please fix.
There is some issue in this release . While creating sip account, it is hanging on login screen although it is registered in the background
i loved an older version of this app but recently and since updating it crashes regularly and its attachment feature no longer functions. Please fix.
Excellent SIP phone client. If it doesn't work for you, it's bad setup, the application is great.
The best among open source sip phone so far
I recommend this. Am using this with my VoIP service provider and simply excellent it works like a charm, it's performance on mobile data is superior amazingly enough, than on my workplace WiFi (QOS suspect).
Excellent.
The app works for me fine, but I can't get a Bluetooth device to work with this app to save my life. I can only get sound out of one of my Bluetooth headset, no mic. My other doesn't give me sound or mic. Wired headphones with a mic worked once for me.
Awesome app, still giving it 5 star despite a missing simple feature that made it unusuable for me. When you have multiple SIP accounts setup from the same service you can't tell which phone line is ringing because the IP continues to change after each ring. The app should instead show the display name of the account thats ringing instead of an IP
Not working. VoIP.ms provider. Android 4.4 Moto X. Info from VoIP.ms reflects proxy username does not exist in android apk. Too bad.
Before writing this, i contacted them on their usergroup. They just flatly ignore my posts outlining the bugs i encounter. I receive all the group correspondence including mine and they just ignore. So, Basically junk except for chat which, with encryption enabled is quite good.....until you want to send photos. It used to work but now just gives an accept button loads and diplays nothing. FLAKEY PROGRAMMING. The calls and videocalls are just downright awful compared to skype on the same devices. Absolute waste of time. Chat only is of some use. This was tested on a 10mb/s up 20mb/s down connection both sides which gives a 10mb/s total bandwidth which is more than enough. Skype works perfect on the same connection and devices. Unfortunately skype is not secure. So my final conclusion.JUNK JUNK AMATEUR JUNK! Look elsewhere for an opensource secure client.
Great soft phone! Works great with Asterisk based PBXs. A little bug I get is that occasionally a call starts with the speaker instead of the earphone.
I give up. Won't connect me to my account. Can't set up using my used number. Can't delete account. Linphone refuse to engage. Useless! Uninstalling now.
Hello sir I am very upset because of audia voice not coming and going and I wasting my minutes and subscription Please try to fix this problem
Adding pauses and waits does not seem to be fully supported. This makes calling extensions or voicemail cumbersome.
Missing a workable S.A.S. as far as has been seen. Several other problems. Not production ready.
App doesn't like other sip providers. Not stable either. Such a potential app but disappointing.
I just starting to use it, on Xiaomi Note 4A and android 6. It works fine, but sometime unexpected it crushes and I can not receive any incoming calls, I do not know if it is an android, xiaomi or linphone issue. I added the application into battery management, but still after a hour or two I look and see no linphome ...
Love the UI, however Linphone did not work with the microphone on my Nexus5X for SIP calls, so I have had to switch to CSipSimple.
This app will not let me set up an account keep getting in error message saying account not configured.
Excellent app, but would be better if it stayed in the background when swiping away the app, and speed dialing woke be nice too.
Does not work on wifi but on 4G it is working
Great app should be appreciated because of being free even no ads
It works fine for me. My first softphone with many codecs.
DO NOT USE. ZRTP does not work properly. Looks like a hook into some other network.
Nice app but crash some time so please solved it thanks
Sometimes its crashing with baresip
good app with g729. awesome

Very nice. Has some nice options. But few things nice to be checked: 1) I can't understand how to easily switch between sip accounts. The only way so far is making appropriate account by default... very strange. 2) No voicemail notification, or at least I can't find any options to switch it on 3) No notification icon on the top of the phone, no status of connections, so the only way to know what is going on is to slide from top to bottom screen to see the notification string from linphone 4) slow software itself, you can compare with csipsimple, which is flying, but Linphone taking a second or two just to switch the calling interface to the next interface when call connection established.
