The results are not accurate. I have a gen 2 cc connected via wired ethernet (100BASE-TX) and am only getting 35 Mbps. Should be maxing out the 100 Mbit connection as my ISP speed is gigabit fiber.

... it only shows up a web based test, in fact do the trick, but I'd not as elegant as the screenshots shown. I will rise my rating as soon as we get accurate screenshots in the play store.

Every time an attempt is made to cast this app to A Chromecast TV, the app instantly crashes. What a turd. :(

I have my Chromecast connected to a Chromecast Ethernet adapter, but based on results with both the Ethernet adapter connected and disconnected, it seems like it's testing WiFi only. Can the developer verify or add a display of the IP and MAC address used?

Definitely need some kind of speed test for Chromecast, but this isn't it. Only successfully ran once, every other time I get a "brain freeze" on my second gen Chromecast and it resets itself.

Used to work fine, but now get "invalid account" & "test started" but no actual test ever runs! Shame, because this app was super useful..

Does not work on 2nd generation Chromecast. Not surprising really. Last update was 2014.

Simply doesn't work anymore. When I try to use it, I get a message that says "Error 1001: Invalid Account".

Once upon a time, this app was the benchmark app for Chromecast. Now it's just obsolete or non-working.

I get Error 1001: Invalid account when I start the test. When I try a second time, a message appears saying that a Speed test is in progress, but it the hangs indefinitely.

Didn't work at all for my 1st Gen chromecast. Says please wait....waited for 10 minutes twice and had to restart chromecast both times. Worthless app as it stands.

Great app and good for ironing out connection issues, but it would be even better if it could show the signal strength from router to Chromecast too. Works on chromecast 2 no problem.

Initially states "error in account" then "test in progress" until little green men are running around the house playing Theramins. I think it hit The Wall. I'm still waiting!

I've used this for several months and it's worked great, but today I tried to use it and keep getting an error code 2001. I rebooted everything, even reinstalled Speed4cast, but it's quit working.

Does exactly what I want it to do. Can't believe there is no test function in the actual Chromecast app though..

Would love to see it provide benchmark requirements as a comparison to my results, something like - my rating compared to requirements to cast whole phone's screen and expected performance.

Great app but seems to only be working with original model Chromecast. Will likely need to be updated to support the new Chromecast hardware. Emailed the developer.

Either that or I hope that my v2 chromecast isn't getting paltry 14.5 Mb/s download speeds!

Only thing that I find strange is that the jitter is a lot lower when testing via WiFi (around 300) than via UTP (around 4000). I wonder if that is correct.

The application works fine but does not allow other servers to choose the test as SpeedTest application allows.

Somehow, I started to get a "grip" on Chromecast with a couple more apps. Then I noticed a lot more colors than before, it's totally different. The "hues,"are more defined,as one as an artist. I can see color ,where color was just color. Thank you, let me know, if you make anymore upgrades in the Chromecast system. I'm all for it.

It hangs at 92% on pass 8 and crashes my Chromecast. I have the Ethernet adapter if that makes a difference.

I tried restarting it and then testing I also tried disconnecting then reconnecting it but couldn't get a read out, how long does the test last?

Gave me the speed my Chromecast was getting. Did cause the Chromecast to "brain freeze" a couple of times. The app or my network? Free app hard to complain.

This application mostly worked but the application does not have any visual response during a test that syncs with what is shown on the screen. Needs a lot of refinements.
