Challenger Comics Viewer

It is very good. There are a couple of things that could be done better when using Samba to host your comics: 1. If you accidentally select a comic, it starts to download. There is no option to cancel. 2. When refreshing the Library it can take a very long time. Fair enough but.. You can't pause it and meanwhile you can't use the app. Can't it refresh in the background? One more thing .. It would be nice if you could choose a page as cover from within the app. I'm quibbling though. It's a very good app. Thank you.

Works well on cbr. Displays a magnifier on epub that doesn't seem possible to turn off. Could use a goto page x function. By magnifier i mean a small rectangle on screen that displays a magnified portion of the text. Like a small floating magnifying glass. Something has changed though, it used to be on permanently now it shows if you touch the screen then disappears after a few seconds.

My only complaint is the Google drive library access. It takes forever to sync. Looks like it downloads the file to get the info, then re-downloads the file when you want to read it. Downloading the file temporarily to read it I have no problem with, but the info sync takes forever. Wish there was a way to just point the library to my google drive folder it get the name and cover and not have t download every file and extract it. Makes it really really slow. I just want to stream the file from google drive. Hope this makes sense. :)

My favorite reader. If you're the type of person who likes to tweak every preference setting, Challenger will satisfy. I found the number of settings overwhelming at first, but the built-in help file covers the basics. Free, ad free, and even has advanced features like syncing a folder from Google Drive or a Samba share. The home screen icons are a bit dated, design wise, but that's honestly my only real complaint and the author's energy obviously is better directed into the app's functionality. Not quite as intuitive as ComicRack, but donation driven, no pop-ups or nagging, and similarly feature rich. Plus, it's still actively being developed, unlike ComicRack. Outclasses even other paid comic readers.

Simple & works. Simply the best comic viewer out there without too much unnecessary gimmicks. Best feature of it? Truly free without ads. The UI can be updated though, to match newer android style (just personal opinion, still use it regardless)

Makes reading your cbr easy. No complicated controls. Easy to browse for other books in your directories. Best thing is that the resizing controls are accurate. You don't just get fuzzy if you zoom in. This was the best app I found after trying others that were unsatisfying. It's a keeper!

Image seems to be blur then actual it is. Did bimap scaling too but no improvement.. if I open pdf in other pdf reader it looks good but blur in challenger comics viewer.. function are good..

Convenient, display neat and tidy folder views. Is it possible to set single page display to not rotate? Thats the only thing thats troubling me when reading while lying on the bed.

Adding Dropbox folder never works, the prompt just keeps asking for permission after I grant it every time. Got a notification from Dropbox saying I granted an app permission, but it still doesn't work

Hello I have some ideas to make this app better. So my problem is I have tons of comics and manga in pictures format (jpg & png) and it really makes a mess if you view it from the stock gallery app in android. Sometimes you want to browse your personal photo in gallery and there's lots of comic pics there making it clutters the album. Can you make it so that the Challenger Comic Viewer's own library hidden from other apps like the gallery. Is it already a feature because I can't find it in the settings. There's this manga reader app called "EHViewer" that does the job. Maybe you guys can copy that. Anyway, great app otherwise. Simple, no ads, and blazing fast. Hope my effort in typing this post isn't in vain. Looking forward for dev response. Thank you.

After trying many similar apps, I eventually settled on this one. Honestly, I don't even remember why it was even a question. It does everything you could possibly want and it does it well.

So glad I gave this a try. Has margin cropping, endless scroll, very pleasant UI. Also, no ads at all taking up any sort of screen real estate. I use the "Medium" setting under Border Cropping, and it works great.

Help!!! I wanna rate 500 stars! Really...... One must uninstall other pdf or comic reader. This one is best! Many in one reader. No ads! No hidden charges! All features available! Lots of customizations! One must support developer by purchasing paid version of it. Anyway....... Give it a try you will not regret!

Only comic viewer I could find so far that can handle pretty much everything you can throw at it, from PDF files to a bunch of loose jpgs in a folder Oh and in case you have any problems with cbz files just use a rar file extractor like 7zip to open the file

Keeps downloading a remote file, even when I have a local file. There's just no way to, within the app to switch source without first downloading the whole file over and over. 2 gigs downloaded off wifi when abroad. Not cool.

I love this app. May we please have an amoled black theme? The dark theme is nice, but an AMOLED theme will turn off background pixels in the library and menu to save battery.

After trying out over a dozen comic readers, this might be the best one. The developer kindly helped fix an issue I had, after which I didn't have any problems.

I love this reader. It's free, easy to use and makes sorting a breeze! Highly recommend if you're looking for something easily accessible and clear.

For the read part is good. but minus on navigation. Last page of comics always opened when we open app. Just need small improvement for navigation and homepage, and then perfect.

At least a few grey pages per comic and frequent crashes

Great features, but quits back to menu constantly from comics, which is annoying.

Frozen for the entire time that it wasted space on my phone

This app would be PERFECT if you could enable navigation buttons when reading comics instead of them disappearing

NO ADS case and point Oh and not to mention it reads almost every file format from epub. To cbr.

I can't detect epub on my phone...although I have copied in my memory I can't find the file

Auto scrolling must be more smooth. Images are vibrating during auto scrolling. Other wise best app
