AWD - PHP/HTML/CSS/JS IDE

Downloaded this in order simply to view an existing PHP document. Was a hassle to get it loaded, but that may just have been down to unfamiliarity. But trying to review the code, I am constantly interrupted by full screen video ads, and on exiting the ad, I am dumped at the end of the file again. By the time I have found where I was up to, it's time for another ad. Because of this, this app is totally unusable to me.

It's a good start. I love the SFTP feature but this app needs a lot of work and improvments. It gets the job done but sometimes painfully as this editor is missing some main features from others IDE, like shift+tab to unindent for example...

I don't have permission to list/home but have full access in/home/myuser. As I have to navigate from / to configure the folder. The app became useless... A simple text box to fill would solve..

Logged in to ftp successfully on first try and accessed my filesystem immediately, but haven't been able to login again since on several tries and even phone reboots later. There's no explicit login button to retry it. And I don't really want to delete the ftp info and reenter it to try fixing the problem. Gonna try another app for the few bucks it takes. Happy to return if this is addressed.

Frequent full screen ads which stop the active program make the application nearly useless. I found other free mobile IDEs that have less intrusive ads.

There are some problems i collided with. This one is the most matter: when quantity reaches big it begins hang out. Accordingly it becomes imposible to work code. It's needed to be fixed.

This app is totally unusable. Advert every 2-5 second. It should be in payed zone, not disguised as free. It eats me 5mb data in 2 hours just for adds.

Beautifully done, precise responsive and easy to use. As for the adverts that's pops up I think its worth it if we pay for the ads removal. 100% rating

Can not open the online ftp project i have put login /username and password also adress/hostname correct but it does not going to see pls help

Kind of upset I paid for this for one small, yet extremely important reason. I cannot see the filenames in my selected project. I'm only going in about 3 levels deep and I'll see "ajax_", and that's about it. Since I have a lot of files with that prefix, it leaves me stranded not being able to get into the files I need. Could this please, please be fixed to have a fullscreen button on the list or something so I could see more of the file names? That would make this a 5 star app, but it's almost unusable as is.

I don't even understand the full scope of what this application can do, but I can't even explain how happy it makes me to do all my Programming Coursework completely on mobile. Especially since I just bricked my Toshiba laptop!!

Extremely annoying Popup ads that appear every few minutes. Removed almost immediately

There are features that exist that you would only know if you look them up. Some of which are important, like file creation. The app mentions it allows you to do php and etc, but you have to upgrade to do so. This would be fine, but i wish there was intro explaining this before i wrote out half a script that wouldnt run because you have to pay. Either way, very neat. Use your computer to code, and this to screw aroind with ideas when its easier. Great potential. Dont stop guys. ✋

While evaluating this potentially good app I lost all my changes while looking up some documentation in the web browser. Androids automatic app termination caused AWD to forget any unsaved work.

Overall, this app is pretty great, and I don't mind paying for quality software to get rid of ads. My biggest gripe however is the apparent lack of word wrap. Editing long lines is very difficult, and I don't know if the paid version includes this. I would pay for this app if I knew word wrap was supported.

Helps me to make changes to web applications I have live. Push out live patches while I'm on the go. The fact that it supports encryption is key for me because my app servers only accept encrypted requests.

Great and does everything I need though my biggest gripe would be the file name truncation in the project list. Could be more user friendly to avoid going back and forth between connection settings and selecting a project but otherwise it does the job.

1st of all, I really liked it in the beginning. It works as it shoulder for html, css and javascript. The problem I have with this ide is that it's really hard to navigate within your code, I'm using a galaxy note 3 , my screen isn't as big as tablet devices so I find myself struggling to select a line of code and actually seeing my code when I'm in the IDE when the keyboard is open , I see that custom characters have been encorporated into ide but if possible, a completely new keyboard extension?

I often travel and bring my Galaxy Tab with bluetooth keyboard and samsung BT mouse as a web developer. I purchased the full version and so far I am very happy! This app kicks arse!

It's a pity this project hasn't been updated in a long time! Abandoned?? A lot of potential but needs a major UI update plus an option to choose the default browser such as chrome.

--- Javascript doesn't really work in browser preview. Alert, prompt, etc. Doesn't work. --- auto complete doesn't really work, also things like document, window, getElementById are not recognized in auto complete. --- html structure not HTML5. And much more....

All I want is a decent editor with live preview and ftp support that won't constantly crash and throw errors/insert random characters into my code..now is that too much to ask? Apparently so....geese your app is app-trocious. That said...thanks for the effort and it was a free app so can't complain too much eh?

Thanks to the developer's quick answer, it in fact turned out I have been doing it wrong all the time. So I have been able to use the app since without any problems and got to love it so much, I already bought the full version.

I just want a solid web development app that lets me edit individual files without having to create a project. Why are you forcing me to create a project and not allowing me to just open a file?

Well thought out and very functional HTML, CSS, js editor with live ftp connection. Occasional freezes frustrating. Makes fixes to code easy when on the move.

The app is incredible unfortunately it lacks the speed to update the ftp connection it takes too long to update the files on the server. Until it is fixed I'll downgrade you temporarily

MISLEADING: Claims to include version control support (Git) and while it allows me to clone a repo, I can't switch branches. Makes this pretty useless to me. This is not an obscure feature, it's standard practice in a conventional Git workflow. I paid for this app to get all the features and now I'm not using it because of that severe limitation. If Akid Soft chooses to add it in the future, I will review again. There are other basic PHP IDEs available for free on Android that do just as much as the paid version of this app.

At first I like some of the features. Then, I started to see the app become visually unstable as all the overlays got in the way of each other and I could not edit code. While it was working, accuracy with touch and line select is not very good either. 4.3 really?

This app is work perfectly!!! But when I download Quoda code editor!!! PHP appearance has changed!! Even it can't detect error!!! I know this problem is from Quoda code editor because of using UI !!! Please help!!! :( :(

Why there is conditions that HTML page will be viewed by local file url but PHP file using server url. There should be option to view HTMl page as Server url.

Tested all ide's for phone and this one is by far best. Good job devs. You have a good product. Willing to spend the 5 bucks to support it. Cheers.

It helped me learn the structure of the modules and after seeing this guideline for so long now its just like pops out

It was a good IDE but it got difficult with the ads and also I tried move a folder inside another folder and just couldn't

But unfortunately because of all the ads I was unable to use it to do anything with it. Every time I'd wright some code it would erase it after I would close the pop-up ads that would load what seemed to be every 60 seconds. Guess I'll look and see if I can find something else on the play store too try out. (Note to maker, anyone one serious in coding would probably be more interested in buying it, with less pop-ups. But not willing to buy anything I can't use.)

Purchased.. Potentially a great and powerful app, but it has some bugs, lags and is not completely reliable. However if it was just more stable it would be a great and powerful app! Please improve!

Used to be amazing. Then the ads came. It was okay but only stuck due to nothing better. Now video ads? Too far. -Uninstalled. Moving to Quoda / DroidEdit

It seems to be a trend with text editors to become more and more confusing as updates are released. I remember when this app was usable. I paid for the premium version. But everything's it installs an update it deleted all of my projects, which happens to be a real pain in the ***.
