Great app, my best experience with ftp sever apps. Simple, fast and free. I like it about you view number connections stablish. First it didn't work because I had access but I couldn't see the internal sdcard. When I added access permissions it did work perfect.

Y70%
by Y####:

It does what it is supposed to very well. Just that my phone didn't have access to the storage/ which meant it was useless, not the app's fault..

C70%
by C####:

Very nice. It may be good if you could open the settings to give access to storage from the app for the rest, it is perfect.

I cant transfer TO my phone only from my phone. Don't know if I am doing something wrong or if that is all this app does.

Y70%
by Y####:

Free, easy to use, simple UI. Had great experience with multithreaded download and upload moving 9000 files from phone to phone, completed in minutes instead of USB MTP way, that took hours each direction.

Y70%
by Y####:

Like others mentioned, you need to go into settings/apps and grant storage permissions then it works beautifully.

This app could probably achieve it's intended use if upgraded to account for what I suspect is interference by firewall / antiviral activity on Windows 8... Or maybe a VPN might interfere?.... I would like to submit a higher grade for this app if the developer would pick my review, I can see that the user has been thought of in this app design, as it is very simple and straightforward... The above inferences notwithstanding...

Perfect - almost. You need to go into your phone: Settings -> Application Support -> Wi-Fi File Transfer -> Permissions -> Storage, and toggle to "on". In the Wi-Fi Transfer app, click the Start button to generate a FTP address, user name and password. Then go to your computer and open up a FTP client, or a web browser (most people will use a web browser). Type into the address bar the FTP address from Wi-Fi Transfer app and hit enter. A dialog box will open. Enter the user name and password from the app screen and you will have access to all the files in you phone or tablet. Click on a file you want to transfer and choose a place to store it on your computer. Transfers are lightning quick compared to Bluetooth File Transfer.

Y70%
by Y####:

This app doesn't let you download anything to another device. All it does is open a traditional ftp server, allowing you access to files to use. Not to copy, not to alter. Complete waste of time. Might as well stick with Bluetooth file transfer, or other drives. Complete garbage.

I normally use Linux and have no problem transferring files. This time after using a new phone with Android 6 I can't transfer files using Ubuntu. This solved the problem. Just follow Andy Mudge instructions

Lightweight, convenient and fast! Works like charm, thank you! P. S. Unfortunately, it stopped working at all on my Mi5 and I can't do anything about that. "ftp error 500, check config and mount status"

Simple file transfer tools that creates an FTP srvernon your tablet or phone. Use fileziller or your favorite ftp cliant to brouse. Simple setup. It hivesbyou all the databthat you need. No fuss. You need to be on the same network for this to work. Not as fast as a cable connection, but you can log on multiple devices to share files. No SFTP OR FTPS support. that would be nice as would a list of logged on users and active transers... No apparent SD write at mo. Some give option to set this via Android 6. My tab is 5.... so a bit of moving after upload. .. not a problem but is inconvenient.

In Android 6 you via Settings > Apps you need to grant app permissions to Storage otherwise you can't access internal memory or sdcard (sdcard folder isn't displayed and storage folder is empty). Ideally should prompt you for permission but once granted it works great. Not sure why it needs read phone status and identity permissions though - so up to you weather you trust it!

Works well and no ads. Great. However, I am running Android Marshmallow and never would have gotten this app working if not for the comment by Andy Mudge: You must give this app Storage permission or it won't be able to access your Pictures, Music, etc., folders, which are probably what you want to access. Without giving this app Storage permission, you can only access all sorts of system folders, which you probably don't want to mess with. I urge the developer to note the need for Storage permission, and perhaps add it as part of app installation.

Tricky to get the hang of for an inexperienced user, but once there it's PERFECT and does exactly what it says on the tin!!! Forget the more expensive paid apps or even the major brand ones!!! PS Used windows 10 file explorer and followed in-app instructions. The fiddly bit is working yout way around the phone structure. Superb app!

Seems lime a solid app. My only (minor) quibble is that it only supports the vertical orientation, and I always use horizontal to type. Hope the developers take care of that minir detail. Thanks!

My first time to use this app and it did work in my phone. I'll reserve my opinion or comment till i start to use this app most open with success. But this initial use proved to be working quite well with my phone and pc.

If you can cope with setting-up an FTP client, this is the right tool. By the way...all popular browsers can use FTP, so no special software is required.

I am very pleased with this app. It works and it's advertising free. The only glitch I had to figure out was how to give it permission to access the SD card. Give it a shot.

X70%
by X####:

Amazing and functional software that balances ease of use with nice functions. However a feature that allows you to directly create a new folder on your phone while on the computer would be a valued addition. But overall, a nice app.

Transfered a1gb file from my droid turbo, which isn't connecting via USB to my comp. Dragged and dropped the file from chrome to my desktop. Done in 1 min. Awesome.
